Abstract

Des polyopetides synthétiques constitués d'au moins deux unités répétées consécutives consistant en une séquence (Asn-Asn-Pro) sont de puissants immunogènes chez des animaux expérimentaux. Les anticorps formés reconnaissent à la fois les polypeptides synthétiques et l'épitope immuno-dominant de la protéine circumsporozoïte de Plasmodium falciparum. Lesdits polypeptides, qui peuvent être obtenus sous forme pure, sont particulièrement utiles pour la préparation de vaccins antipaludéens et de nécessaires de diagostic pour la détermination d'affections paludéennes.
