Claims

A bag (1) which in the flat condition mainly consists of two sheets positioned on or against each other and which are at least partially connected to each other at their both side edges (5,6) and at their lower edge (3) and at their upper edge (7) ) are at least partially unconnected with each other, characterized in that the bag (1) has a concave shape in its flat state at its upper edge (7) whereby two protrusions (11) protruding outside the lowest part of the upper edge (7) are formed, and at its lower edge (3) has a convex shape complementary to the upper edge (7).

A bag (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the top edge (7) of the bag (1) consists of a straight middle part (10) and two protruding parts that each extend from the middle part (10) up to a side edge (5.6).

A bag (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it is a bag (1) intended to be closed by knotting the protrusions (11) together.

A bag (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the protrusions (11) of the bag (1) have a height (H) that is greater than their half width (B).

A bag (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the shape of the protrusions (11) is partly parabolic.

A bag (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is a carrier bag.

A bag (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the protrusions (11) are intended as supporting ears and are provided for this purpose with a recess (12).

A bag (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the protrusions (11) are intended as supporting ears and are provided for this purpose with a removable part which after removal has a recess (12) in the protrusions (11) leave behind.

A bag (1) according to claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the recess (12) is provided at a position such that the lower edge of the recess (12) is higher than the lowest part of the upper edge (7) of the bag (1) and the top edge of the recess (12) is lower than the highest portion of the top edge (7) of the bag (1).

A bag (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sheets are connected to one another at the side edges (5, 6) in that the sheets form part of a sleeve (2) in the flat state.

A bag (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sheets are made of thermoplastic plastic and are connected to each other at the bottom edge (3) by a weld (4).

A strip (13) of two or more connected bags (1) according to one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the lower edge (3) of a bag (1) with the upper edge (7) of a similar bag (1) is connected by a tear-off weakening (14).
