Description

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   Mode of establishment of parquetai
This invention relates to a method of establishing parquet floors and more especially parquet floors known under the name of "parquet-rugs", being placed directly on existing floors. As is well known, parquet floors of this type have the disadvantage of following the withdrawal of the floor if it comes to jcuer which leads to the dislocation and deterioration of the floor
The current invention aims to remedy this drawback, that is to say to remove the parquet from the effects of shrinkage or dislocation that the ordinary floor may undergo.
For this purpose,

   the invention is characterized essentially by the interposition between the floor proper and the parqueta resting on this floor, of boards of wood with crossed fibers, for example of triplex wood, which by its very composition cannot undergo shrinkage one way or the other.

   In the practical embodiment of the invention, the "triplex" wooden plates, placed one beside the other and held on the floor by a few painted, receive

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 the actual parquet or carpet parquet preferably arranged in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the boards making up the ordinary floor.

   The parquet can be glued in the usual way on the layer of triplex wood and be held there also if necessary, by some points.

     Experience shows that a parquet thus established is protected from the drawbacks inherent in parquet floors pla these according to the usual procedures.

   The attached sketch shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the invention *
In this drawing, the floor proper is designated by On this floor supported by the ordinary gitage, it 1 is fixed using spikes 2, panels 3, formed for example of triplex wood ,, and covering the entire surface to parque-- ter On the panels 3 are fixed in the usual way the boards 4, forming the parquet-carpet and the direction of which is, preferably, perpendicular to the direction of the floor 1.

   It will be understood that, thanks to the intercalation of the panels 3 made of triplex wood, the removal of the boards, making up the floor 1, cannot lead to the dislocation of the boards making up the parquet-carpet. This shrinkage cannot in fact be exerted on these boards which are protected by panels 3 of relatively large surface, which by their very constitution are immune to any deformation.
