Sur les dessins;

Improvements in the ovens.
The present invention relates to a new and improved annealing-type furnace in which the material is annealed without oxidation and without coming into contact with a liquid, the walls of the annealing chamber being free of moisture.
On the drawings;
Figure 1 is a plan view of the oven.
Figure 2 is an elevational view thereof, certain parts being shown in section taken along line 2-2 of Figure I.

Figure 3 is a plan view of an annealing element form.
Figure 4 is a section taken on line 4-4 of Figure e 3; and
FIG. 5 is a detailed view of a portion of the insulating protective casing.
In ovens. annealing currently in use, the material passes through a bath of liquid before and after entering the retort, which gives rise to objections for metal of small dimensions, such as; metal wire of small diameter or @ metal in thin sheet.
In non-oxidizing furnaces, fear is admitted in the retort, to drive off oxygen In electric furnaces, this vapor can penetrate into the walls of the retort and into the insulating material and xxx destroys the insulating qualities of this last,
The heat from the retort is then transmitted to the outer casing, which produces a loss of heat, xxxx constitutes a inconvenience for the operator and a loss of electrical current,
In the illustrated embodiment, 10 designates the wall surrounding the chamber 31,11 the platform having openings, 12, the base plate, 13 a rim, 14, a sealing ring, 15, a rim, 16, a trough-shaped member, which contains liquid,
sand or the like, 17, an arga, not forming a cup and 18 and 22 denote atmospheric valves where the chamber 20, with the annealing element 19 is heated by gases, a fluid, or the electricity, but, as it is represented, it is of the electric type

The elevator 23 bridged on the piston 24,. Has several sealing troughs 25, in which pin ** forms the flanges 13. and 15 (Figure 2), which forms a tight seal for the chambers 26 in the cutters. ver c 17 and "for room 20,
The material supports 27 are fixed "with respect to the hydraulic seals 25 and move with them and each in its position, projects through an opening made in the platform II, to receive the material 28 indicated in a broken line on the figure. figure 2.
In chamber 20, this material is subjected to the action of the chaloir prevailing therein and is then cooled in chambers 26, which can be facilitated by surrounding one or more of the cover members.
17 by water, a cooling compound, a cooling mechanism or air. During operation, the elevator goes up and down and it turns automatically under the action of a well-known mechanism, when it is located near its low position, the xxx parts ... materials automatically turn at an angle of 90 bringing each material holder in line with the next chamber * making operation, the member forming the cover,
in the cooling element A is removed, and the material 28 is placed on the material carrier 27, after which the cover member is returned to its first position, the elevator is lowered again, it rotates by quarter circle, move back to

The oxygen is removed from the chamber SI and from the isolation to be drained. Providing that a charge of material is placed in the furnace and this, by means of a jet of steam or inert gas admitted through a pipe 50, l oxygen escaping through atmospheric valves 18 and 22.
