<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Device for the automatic engagement and disengagement of agricultural machinery connected to a tractor.
The present invention relates to a simplification of the construction of the device forming the subject of the main patent filed on June 17, 1926 under the provisional No. 265304 and it consists in that the disengageable mechanism producing the link between the operating member acting on the instrument and a driving axle of the tractor only act on the maneuvering member when it is put out of action while the movement of this member when it is put into action is free under Inaction of the weight of the instrument attached to it. ' the drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the object of the invention. FIG. 1 is a side view and FIG. 2 is a plan view.
The drawing reproduces the parts of the device in the position they assume when the instrument connected

The tractor is in the transport position.
The tractor carries the attachment device 1 to which is attached 1 agricultural implement to be put into action by means of the tractor. The implement is put into and out of action by turning lever 2.
The lever 2 is mounted on the shaft 3 which rests in bearings 4 belonging to the tractor. On the shaft 3 is also fixed the lever 5 which is connected to a stop device which maintains in the transport position the working instrument connected to the arm 2.
This stop device is formed by a pin 6 fixed to the arm 5 and by a hook 7 placed under the action of a spring 8.
The hook 7 is mounted so as to be able to turn, by means of a pivot g, on a flange it fixed to the frame of the tractor. In the position shown in the drawing, the hook 7 prevents the rotation of the arm 5 and consequently also of the shaft 3 and of the lever 2 mounted thereon.
On the arm 5 is mounted by means of the pivot 12 a hand lever 15 which carries a stop heel 14. The lever 15 is held immobilized with respect to the arm 0 5 by a latch 15 which engages in a notch. of the segment-shaped part 16 of the arm 5 and it is moved by means of a lever 17. If, starting from the position shown in the drawing, the lever 13 is moved by rotation in the direction of the arrow in the drawing , the heel 14 meets the hook 7 and pushes the latter back to the side so that it releases the stop pin 6.
The result is thus obtained that under the action of the instrument connected to the lever 2, the latter rotates until the instrument has reached its working position while the arm 5 also turns, the spindle 6 sliding the lever. along the surface 18 of hook 7
The extension of the lever 13 aūdelà of the pivot 12 is constituted by a toothed arc 19. to put the agri instrument out of action. cole connected to the tractor, the toothed arc 19 is brought into engagement with the toothed wheel 31 fixed to the wheel 20 of the tractor, by a rotation of the lever 13 in the opposite direction to that of the arrow.
The

rotation of the toothed wheel 21 then attracts the toothed arc 19 downwards and the traction exerted at and are is transmitted to the arm 5 so that the shaft 3 and the lever 2 undergo a rotation which produces the disabling of the agricultural implement connected to the tractor.
When the agricultural implement has again reached its transport position, the toothing of the wheel 21 strikes the stop piece 22 arranged on the toothed arc 19 and thus puts the toothed arc out of engagement with the toothed wheel. At the same time, after the pin 6 has slipped from the surface 18 of the lever 7, the hook 7 moves under the action of the spring 8 sufficiently to retain the pin 6 and thus prevent the rotation of the shaft 3. .
