The present invention relates to a sign or advertisement panel which is placed in line with the wall and the inscriptions of which are visible, on the same side of the street, at a considerable distance. To this end, the panel has a ridged front face whose longitudinal cut forms a wavy or zig-zag line, while the Inscriptions are placed on the side faces of the ridges.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, soft or several series of symbols each closing a text

in particular, are arranged on the parallel parts of the front face, at different heights, so that when considering the front panel each of the texts is easily readable independently of the others.

According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the sign panel is composed of individual boxes which have in cross section an essentially triangular shape and whose lateral faces incline one on the other. bear the inscriptions.

The drawing shows several embodiments of the object of the invention.

Fig. 1 shows in perspective a panel according to the invention and FIG. 2 is a longitudinal section thereof.

Figs. 3-5 are longitudinal sections of other embodiments and FIG. 6 shows yet another embodiment.

The front face of the panel shown in fig. 1 and 2 is composed of oblique surfaces e, f forming two by two ridges and whose longitudinal section is a zig-zag line (fig. 2).

The writing signs affixed to the parallel surfaces e give a text and those located on the parallel faces f give another text in correlation with the previous one. The two texts are placed at different heights so that each of them is easily readable. At a great distance, only the surfaces e can be seen on one side and only the surfaces f on the other hand, so that passers-by who approach the panel along the wall first see the text on surfaces e or f then, when they come close to the sign, both texts at the same time (fig.l).

In the embodiments according to figs 3 and 4, the surfaces e, f of the embodiment according to FIG. 2 are rounded in pairs to form a convex or concave cylindrical surface while the cross section of the front face of the

embodiment of FIG. 5 shows a wavy line.

The embodiment of fig..6 shows a panel ', transparent gold composed of boxes c having in cross section a generally triangular shape; the consecutive elements -, that is to say the boxes ± in which are arranged light sources d, for example incandescent lamps, are mounted on a common longitudinal support a .. This arrangement has the advantage of a low self-weight and has the further advantage that in the event of deterioration of the panel, the individual boxes can be replaced. In the case of transparent panels placed on tram cars, the panels are joined together two by two by crossbars b,
Summary .

2.- Billboard or following sign 1, characterized in that it consists of separate boxes which have a generally triangular shape in cross section and which are advantageously mounted on a common longitudinal support.
