<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
qu'il y a de connecteurs. chaque contact de fermeture séparé conduit par un de ses branches à un relais AR et par l'autre branche à, la ligne d du même connecteur auquel appartient le relais AR. Dans le circuit du relais FR qui est excité dans la station appelée par la ligne F se trouve le relais à touche TR qui réagit au poste appelant quand une des touches à commande à distance F1 ,2,3,10 est abaissée ; l'appeld'un poste auxiliaire est ainsi dirigé de deux eûtes par les relais FR et TR; d'une part le relais TR provoque ainsi dans la station appelante un changement de si- gne dans la ligne auxiliaire d;

<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

"Completely automatic telephone installation for telephone and domestic office communications"
The object of the invention is a fully automatic functioning domestic or auxiliary central unit for transmitting office or private communications by the parallel coupling system in offices, offices, factories and nursing homes. trade .
The device which is the object of the invention is designed in such a way that no personnel are needed to carry out the required operations such as office or private calls, communication transmission, etc.
According to the invention, it has been provided, depending on the size
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
telephone system /, for each separate station, a number of connection devices which consist of a button, a call relay and a connection relay and which are connected in parallel on the lines conversation and on auxiliary lines; the connector keys, which cannot be locked, control the auxiliary lines on the one hand and the relay pair on the other.
The invention is shown in the accompanying drawing as an embodiment given as an example; the drawing shows a distribution diagram with one connection device for office connection and one for private connection, the number of which, however, is adjusted according to the conversation capacity of each station. Each connector is made up of the T key, the call relay A R and the connection relay VR which work together as will be explained below.
Conversation lines a, b as well as auxiliary lines, c.d, e, run through the entire installation. In the case of active communications, ie. when calling another station the AR and VR relays react together when the T key is depressed, as long as the connector is not occupied.
In the case of passive communications, c. to.d. when the station is called, only the AR-relay reacts, the VR relay being energized only when the corresponding T connector button is pressed. The relay AR thus allows in the case of passive communication on the one hand a possibility of entry into the oc pe connector; on the other hand, the call lamp AL depending on the relay AR signals the call that has been made. In the event of passive communication, the AR relay is governed by its own remote line F. As a result, in the telephone system, as many F lines are needed as there are private stations or sets. If there are several connectors for a station, i.e. also several AR relays, these are controlled by a FR relay which is located on its F line.
The FR relay has as many closing contacts a or !!
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
that there are connectors. each separate closing contact leads by one of its branches to an AR relay and by the other branch to line d of the same connector to which the AR relay belongs. In the circuit of the relay FR which is energized in the station called by the line F is the button relay TR which reacts to the calling station when one of the remote control buttons F1, 2,3,10 is lowered; the call to an auxiliary station is thus directed at two points by relays FR and TR; on the one hand, the relay TR thus causes in the calling station a change of sign in the auxiliary line d;
on the other hand, the relay FR transmits through its contacts n or m the current from line d to the relay AR of the called station, so that the AR relay of the called station will react on the connector on which the station is located. calling station.
To prevent that at the same time more than one station can. ¯ ¯ transmit a conversation to a given station, an SPL stop line has been provided. Stopping is done at the auxiliary station which calls for the intervention of a countercurrent from contact G, from key F acting on the stop line. If the stop line is at the negative pole, no other relay FR will be able to react since the counter current which comes from the negative pole destroys the positive potential which arrives by the resistance R to the relay F.R.
The contacts of the various keys of all the connectors of a device are in such a relation with each other that by the contact 17 of the lowered key and the contact 18 of the key at rest it passes a counter current to the relay VR whose T key is in the rest position.By lowering a connector key T, a con- neotor which may have been used in this same device is switched off by switching off the conversation circuit, to the intervention of a counter current which arrives at the VR connection relay.
AT designates the automatic switch which automatically comes into play when you suspend and when you pick up the micro-telephone.

born. KL is a call control lamp which indicates that the extension call has been properly followed. J is an induction coil which inductively connects office current and household current. M is the microphone, TL the telephone, D1 D2 are the reactances which are in the microphone circuit. W1 W2 W3, W4 denote various resistances, the function of which will be explained later. The occupancy lamp BL comes on when any connector becomes occupied.
The AL call lamp lights up at the talking station and indicates. which connector we are talking about; at the station called it indicates which connector the call relates to. WK is the bell intended to trigger an acoustic signal.
In this distribution panel, only one connection to the office and one private connection has been considered. it is obvious that the number of office and private stations can be increased at will according to needs. It is also possible to have individual office or private stations in a station, especially when installing royalty-free auxiliary stations, which in this case cannot be connected to the outside.
The collaboration of the parties and their mode of action will appear most clearly by the description of the various connections.
Private connection. If you want to establish a private conversation, i.e. if a station in the installation wants to communicate * admit another, home station, first pick up the receiver, then lightly press the T button of a free private connector , which energizes the AR relay. The circuit is closed by the contact s of the key of the private connector located on the blade plus the battery, - by the winding AR contact 12 of the key T, resistor W3 the clean lamp and the lamp foreign occupation BL, both of which are on line e and finally the least.
The AR relay receives a stop circuit: positive blade via contact p of the AT switch, contact 3 of the AR relay, winding of the AR relay, contact

2, resistance W4 and negative ball. Connection relay VR now reacts on the following circuit: Contact 14 of button T, contact 4 of relay AR, winding of relay VR. resistance W4, blade negative, This relay establishes the telephone line of the station with line a-b.
The desired auxiliary station is obtained by pushing on the corresponding plug F, which closes the following circuit: negative pole, winding of relay JR, one of the button contacts 1-10 towards line F on which the switch is located. relay FR, its winding and resistance R towards positive blade G. By reaction, relay FR closes contact m and relay TR closes contact s, Relay AR is therefore energized at the called station and a circuit is established going from the negative pole through contacts s, contact 8, relay AR, contact 1, to line d and then via the latter to the called station and in the latter via W2, m, the AIR winding, contact 16 of key T on line c:
from there via this line, back to the calling station via the idle contact 16 of the T key and via the stop contact 3 on the positive blade. The called auxiliary station receives a signal by ringing when the relay FR intervenes and at the same time when the AR relay reacts an optical signal by the call lamp AL. By lowering the T key of each connector in which the lamp AL gives the call signal, the called station can put the VR relay on the telephone set: the circuit is established from the positive pole to the contact 14 of the key. L, contact 4 of relay AR, the winding of relay VR and resistance w4 to the negative blade.
Connections with the outside In order to be able to give an overview, we have not represented, -in the distribution diagram, the devices which play the role of, as it is called, the telephone office interlayer device. . However, this device must be considered as existing. A connection with
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
the exterior will be established as follows: by lowering the T button on the desktop connector, the AR relay is energized: positive pole at contact 13 of the AR relay, winding of the AR relay, contact 12, W3, via lamps. occupation, own and foreign BL towards the negative blade. A stop circuit is closed: positive blade by W1. Contact 3, AR winding, contact 2 towards the negative blade.
Desktop connectors can be all occupied for one and the same device. AR relays keep the connectors occupied until the micro-telephone is placed. Any change of connection is made by intervention of the VR connection relay by depressing the corresponding button T.
If the official connector 1 is used first and if a second call occurs on an official connector II, the VR relay will drop to 1 when entering the second connection at connector II. The current will be established. from the positive blade, connector 17, from connector 1 through contact 18, contact 7, winding vR, W4 towards the negative blade. The relay VR thus falls into the countercurrent put into circuit in this way.
Conversation transmission. The conversation transmission operates in the same way as the connection with another auxiliary station. However, while in the case of connection with another auxiliary station, it is assumed that the calling and called auxiliary stations remain on one and the same connector, it is otherwise in the case of transmission of conversations coming from outside. . The calling auxiliary station must automatically switch off the input of the called station. for the rest, the call and transmission are carried out exactly as in the case of a private connection.
When the called station comes into play by lowering the T key, a current flows from the negative pole via contact 2, contact 15 and line s, so that in the calling station (transmitter) a, a counter-current arrives from contact 16 and
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
the AR winding to the negative pole, so that AIR falls.
Auxiliary stations exempt from charges and auxiliary stations liable to charges. These fee-free stations do not have an external connector. However, it may happen that an auxiliary station liable to charges tries, by connecting simultaneously to an external connector and to a private connector, to give a station free of charge, the possibility of obtaining communications with the outside lines To prevent it, contact 11 of key T.
The official connector takes at contact 11 a positive potential which sends a counter-current to the negative potential through II, contact 2 and w4 so that the AR relay cannot react.
