 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

     L'invention a pour but 'de créer une ligature pour/tuyaux flexibles très peu couteuse, très simple, et facile à manipu- ler, dans laquelle des dispositifs d'arrêt d'aucune sorte ne doivent être disposés pour le boulon tendeur et qui, malgré cela, offre une grande sécurité contra un desserrage intempes- tif. La ligature pour tuyaux flexibles est constituée, outre le ruban métallique flexible connu, par un boulon tendeur pou- vant tourner dans un dispositif de blocage ou fermeture, qui, en raison de sa disposition pour le guidage du ruban dans le dispositif de blocage, assure 'la fixation de la ligature dans la position tendue.

   Le dessin ci-joint représente, à titre d'exemple, une for- me d'exécution de la ligature de tuyau flexible.

   La figure 1 est une coupe suivant la ligne A-B de la fig.2;
La figure 2 est une vue latérale;
La figure 3 est une vue de dessus ;

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

  "Flexible hose tie."
In most known flexible pipe ties, consisting of a flexible metal tape and a locking or closing device, one end of the tape is attached to the locking piece, while the other end is clamped. tensioning devices, which must be maintained by special stopping devices, such as articulated levers, pawls, ratchet wheels, screwings, bolts, safety yoke, etc ...

   These stops are easily loosened when the pipe is handled carelessly or by frequent jerking, they make the pipe ligation costly due to the numerous machining operations required for its manufacture and moreover the ligature requires a more or less great skill for its pose.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

     The object of the invention is to provide a very inexpensive, very simple, and easy to handle flexible hose ligature in which stoppers of any kind need not be provided for the tension bolt and which , despite this, offers great security against unwanted loosening. In addition to the known flexible metal tape, the tie for flexible pipes consists of a tensioning bolt which can rotate in a locking or closing device, which, due to its arrangement for guiding the tape in the locking device, ensures 'Fixing the ligature in the stretched position.

   The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the flexible hose tie.

   Figure 1 is a section taken along line A-B of Fig.2;
Figure 2 is a side view;
Figure 3 is a top view;
Figure 4 is a section through a flexible pipe carrying the ligature.

   The locking or closing piece a is curved in the shape of a U and has a base surface, formed by two cross members b, c and resting on the elastic pipe d and two vertical cheeks, in which the tension bolt e is supported The bolt e has a slot adapted to the width of the tape f of the ligature, it is folded back or riveted at one of its ends and has an eye at its other end, so that one can easily rotate it with any tool.

  If desired, it can be made with a correspondingly lined half-round iron. The diameter of the bolt e should be calculated so that it is only a little smaller than the distance between the two crossbars b e forming the base surface of the locking piece. Therefore, the periphery of the bolt at the ends of its horizontal diameter is placed

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 cer almost vertically above the inner edges of the sleepers b c. In the exemplary embodiment, it is irrelevant whether it is around the cross member b or the cross member c that one of the ends of the tape is fixedly wound.

   But it is also possible to set up the blocking or closing piece so that a cross member c is so wide that its inner edge is no longer placed almost vertically below the mentioned periphery. It is essential that the inside edge of a sleeper has the arrangement shown.

   The free end of the tape f is wound one or more times around the flexible pipe d and finally brought from the bottom around the cross member b, then engaged in the slot of the bolt e. If then we turn the bolt e the tape f (figure 4) is stretched and tightened on the pipe d. At the same time the tape rests tightly on the circumference of the bolt e and, due to the sharp bend formed at the point of entry into the slot, it is impossible for the tape f to slip. By continuing to turn the bolt e, the latter always tightens and tightens the tape and decreases to a certain extent the length of this tape, so that first of all the crossbar c rests firmly against the flexible hose and then the bolt! gets closer and closer to the pipe.

   This results in the cross member b pressing ever more firmly by its inner edge on the tape, which, under the influence of the almost vertical direction of tension between the periphery of the bolt and the edge of the cross member, bends sharply. by forming an angle, which is hardly more graiid than 90. Due to this bending, the pressure exerted by the cross bar b on the tape, the sharp bending at the point of entry into the slot of the bolt e and the strong friction of the tape on the periphery of the bolt, the tape is held firmly with great security in its tensioned position, so that even a shock against the blocking part a or

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

 Frequent tubing failures cannot loosen the ligature.

   If the bolt e should, as a result of any circumstances, turn backwards in the direction of the release of the tape, the clearly formed angle of the tape on the inner edge of the cross member b cannot yield. The tape will then bend above the crossbar b and therefore the angle mentioned above will become even more acute.

   The locking piece a may be straight on its base surface or, as shown in the drawing, be somewhat curved to suit the shape of the pipe.
