Le mode de préparation de cet insecticide est le suivant :
Mélanger d'abord très intimement les poudres suivantes: Naphtaline, soufre sublimé et Sulfate de baryte, quand ces poudres sont bien mélangées on y ajoute ensemble:
Huile de goudron et nitrate de cuivre, on remue et mélange à nouveau, puis : silicate de soude, remuer et mélanger jusqu'à homogénéité complète, puis ajouter encore à la pâte obtenue : acide formi- que et silicate de potasse ensemble, puis remuer et mélanger pour obtenir une pâte consistante et réellement homogène.
Quand cette pâte '8. la consistance voulue ajouter pour obtenir une solution liquide et concentrée la solution sui- vante:
Faire bouillir dans 15 litres d'eau 2 kilos de sciure de sapin et réduire à 10 litres par ébullition, puis passer la solution au tamis et compléter avec l'adjonction de 67 litres

Le produit ainsi obtenu se mélange et s'étend facilement avec de l'eau chaude ou de l'eau froide.
Pour obtenir un produit solide on ajoute en place du lait de chaux de la chaux éteinte.

Le chauffage est.nécessaire pour la préparation du pro- duit liquide.
Le produit obtenu peut être employé en toutes quantités désirées, soit, sec, par saupoudrage, enfouissement, etc. soit liquide, par pulvérisations, arrosages, etc. Une bonne propor- tion avec l'eau de mouillage est de 2 %.
