Procédé pour la production de thio-urée. on a trouvé d'après la présente invention que 7.'on peut obtenir de la thio-urée très pure, pratiquement exempte de dicyanodiamide, en très bon rendement,en faisant réagir la cyanamide Calcique avec des composés ammoniacaux de l'hy- drogène sulfuré, en présence de sels ammoniacaux d'acides qui précipitent le calcium, tels, par exemple, que l'acide carbonique, l'acide sulfurique, l'acide oxalique et d'autres.
La conversion en thio-urée s'effectue en peu de temps, après quoi on sépare du résidu par filtration et on traite ulté- rieurement le filtrat de façon appropriée, par exemple ,en le concentrant avec ou sans le concours du vide.

Introduire, tout en agitant énergiquement, un mélange de 5 kg. de cyanamide calcique industrielle (renfermant 18% d'azote à l'état de cyanamide) avec 3 kg. de bicarbonate d'ammonium et, en même temps, avec 18 kg. d'une solution de sulfure d'ammonium (renfermant 9,7 g H2S par 100 cm3) ,ou la quantité équivalente de sulfhydrate d'ammonium, dans 15 à 20 litres d'eau à 70*. Agiter le tout encore pendant une demi-heure. Filtrer dans le vide et laver le résidu avec environ 5 litres d'eau bouillante, après quoi l'on concentre le filtrat, éventuellement en y ajoutant du noir animal, sous pression ordinaire ou réduite. Par cris- tallisation de la solution concentrée,on obtient des cubes compacts de thio-urée avec un rendement de 2,2 kg.

Filter in a vacuum and wash the residue with about 5 liters of boiling water, after which the filtrate is concentrated, optionally with the addition of animal charcoal, under ordinary or reduced pressure. By crystallization of the concentrated solution, compact cubes of thiourea are obtained with a yield of 2.2 kg.
