" PAGAIE ."

"PADDLE."
The present invention relates to paddies which are used for boating.
While canoeing, it is customary to take a fishing rod so that you can fish if you encounter fishing grounds or whenever you want. - During canoe trips, it is desirable to reduce the package to be transported, in a convenient and condensed form for ease of transport when traveling, etc. The primary objective of the invention is to provide a convenient method for protecting the fishing rod during its transport. transport and to pack it for transport; this objective is achieved by making a combined paddle and fishing rod sleeve.
This allows the fishing rod to be easily transported when traveling on land or on the tracks or whenever it is not in use. The invention resides in various features.

new features which will be explained below and more specifically defined in the final summary.
In the drawings,
Fig. I is a perspective view of a paddle incorporating the invention.
Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section.
Fig. 3 is a section taken along line 3è3 of FIG. I.
The invention resides in the form of a paddle composed of a blade 4, a hollow shank 5 and a handle 6 which is removably attached to the upper end of the hollow shank through the intermediary of a handle. an internal thread 7 provided on this handle which engages a corresponding male thread 8 provided at the upper end of the hollow rod 5. The hollow rod 5 has the shape of a tube and a chamber 9 is provided therein. 'extends from the handle down into the blade to a point 10 so that its height is sufficient to allow it to enclose a fishing rod II separately from its handle 12. It can be provided, if it is wants, a brassiere spring 14, in the chamber 9 to subject the sleeve in the upper part of the latter.
The upper end of the handle 6 is preferably flattened approximately in the plane of the blade so as to allow proper maneuvering of the paddle when paddling.
After removing the handle 6 from the rod 5, the fishing rod II and its handle 12 can be removed or they can be replaced in the chamber 9 of the paddle.
When the handle 6 serves as a cap for the said chamber are fixed on the rod, the rod and the handle 12 are housed so that it is possible to dispense with the separate transport of the fishing rod when gold; does not have a job. The paddle can be in cast aluminum or other ad hoc material; Tubular formation of the shank and the upper part of the blade allow the paddle to be reduced to a weight which is not excessive.
