<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Device for seasoning lamps.
Lamps of any type, and in particular lamps from T.S.F. are fixed on a base which carries the connection pins by means of a paste or a putty.
The object of the present invention is a device which makes it possible to reduce the time spent on seasoning, and on the other hand to eliminate the use of any mastic or paste commonly used for this purpose. The single figure, of the single attached board is an exemplary embodiment of this process.
The bulb containing the electrodes is shown at 1; this tube is cylindrical and it comprises, towards its lower part, a bead 2 with a diameter slightly greater than the bulb itself. The pins or terminals of the lamp are fixed on an insulating material plate 3.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The connections with the electrodes are made by means of wires as is customary. The bulb is held at a certain distance from the plate 3 by a ring 4 of any material (cardboard, bakelite, glass, metal, etc.). The outside diameter of this ring is less than the outside diameter of the bead 2.
The ring 4 can be attached to the plate 3 (for example molded with it) or else be independent of it. It can also be split or even in two pieces in order to. be able to be fitted after the connecting wires have been soldered to the pins of the lamp. The bulb is then held in place by a second ring 5 which has a rim which rests on the bead 2 of the bulb.
The ring 5, of any material, is fixed on the plate 3, either by screwing, or by crimping, or by means of screws or tenon perpendicular to its outer surface (this is the case shown at 6 in the figure) , or again with an assembly of the so-called “bayonet” type; in this way, thanks to the rim 2 the bulb is clamped between the lower ring 4 and the outer ring 5 and maintained in a fixed position with respect to the plate 3 carrying the pins, these in any number. In this way the seasoning can be done in a short time and avoids the use of any dough.
