Description

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

  Improvement to sandals and slippers with rubber soles.

   Until now, for tennis shoes, slippers and sandals with rubber soles, the outer face of the sole has been etched along its edge for the accommodation of the sewing thread, joining this sole to the fabric of the slipper, and to the insole. The sewing thread being thus turned on the outer side and being almost at the level of the outer face of the sole, the result was that after a slight wear of the sole, this thread was in turn attacked, was worn and required repair while the sole was only slightly worn.

   As moreover the wear of the sole is not uniform, loosening occurred, then a detachment in the places of strong wear, so that after a short time, mainly for tennis shoes, a repair was needed. '

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

The present invention has for. The aim is to avoid these frequent repairs and to allow a deeper, more prolonged wear of the sole without requiring its replacement. It also aims to simplify manufacture, by eliminating the insoles.

   According to the invention, the rubber sole is joined directly to the fabric of the shoe or of the slipper by a seam made from the inside of the shoe, that is to say only involving the internal face of the shoe. the sole. As a result, the sole should only be replaced after practically complete wear.

   This process of sewing from the inside also avoids having to make engravings in the sole to accommodate the sewing threads.
