Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

  New method of padding the balls, in particular for hernial bandages or other similar uses.

   The balls of the hernia bandages are generally filled with a solid elastic material such as, for example, rubber, cork, springs, etc. and although their shape is generally designed so that they conform as perfectly as possible. , the contours of the hernias to be closed, it is impossible for them to follow these contours in their deformations produced by the movements of the human body, which results in a certain discomfort in their port accompanied by painful friction.

   This invention proposes to obviate the aforementioned drawbacks of the balls presently in use, and it achieves this by replacing the solid elastic padding with a liquid padding, which, although quite incompressible, has the ability to perfectly follow the external shapes of the hernias in their slightest deformations and

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 thus avoiding any friction of the ball, while constantly ensuring their correct closure. In addition, this liquid padding produces a certain cooling sensation which is very pleasant to feel.

   The practical realization of a ball with liquid padding does not present any more difficulties than that of an ordinary ball, in fact it suffices to adapt to a back support plate, by vulcanization or in any other suitable manner. , a hermetically sealed rubber bladder, pre-filled with liquid or provided with a filling mouth with hermetic closure allowing the filling to be carried out as required.

   The same means could also be applied if in other analogous circumstances. As a liquid, oil or water is preferably used.

   The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the improved ball.

     Fig. 1 and 2 are a plan view and a cross section of the first embodiment, and
Fig.3 and 4 two similar views of the second embodiment.

   1 designates the liquid padding, 2 the rubber bladder, a fabric cover with the help of which the bladder is secured against a dordal plate 4. The buttons for attaching the pad to the belt are indicated. born by 5.

Claims (1)

-CLAIM- The invention aims: A new method of padding balls in particular for hernial bands or other similar uses, characterized <Desc / Clms Page number 3> by the use of liquids as filling materials, these liquids being enclosed in bladders of suitable conformation and hermetically sealed, provided or not with filling openings.
