Description

Device for the removable fixing of objects to supports.

The object of this invention is a device for the removable attachment of objects to supports by providing sharp-edged edges to one and flexible receiving surfaces to the other of the parts to be assembled. .

According to the invention, the contact surfaces of the parts to be assembled are provided, one with a layer of filings or

Thanks to this arrangement, the objects secured to the supports adhere to them in an absolutely safe manner and no accidental dismantling is to be feared.

In addition, this method of fixing is inexpensive and very convenient in its execution, and it also meets the practical requirements from an aesthetic point of view since the most diverse patterns can be produced in a very impressive relief.

    @ III
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, several embodiments of the fixing device.

In figs. 1-2,1 denote a rigid base of cardboard, wood or other suitable material covered on the face, dui shall bear the patterns, preferably with a coarse-grained fabric (canvas). However, it would also be possible to use a fine fabric or a knit (Jersey, for example).

The patterns, the letters 3 for example, which must make up an advertising inscription, are placed on this fabric.

These letters can be made of any suitable material, for example metal, cardboard, wood, ebonite etc. Their surface, which must come into contact with the support, is roughened by the arrangement, on it, of a layer of particles angular
4, consisting of filings or parings of iron, cast iron, bronze, etc.

When these letters are placed on the support, the sharp-angled asperities thus formed cling to the fabric 2 and ensure perfect adhesion.

In fig. 3 a liner 5 is inserted between the bottom 1 and the fabric 2. This liner further increases the flexibility of the support surface to the great advantage of a perfect fixation of the patterns.

It is not necessary for the flexible support surface to be provided with a rigid bottom, it could just as well be stretched over a wooden frame 6 for example.

On the other hand, the angular asperities could also be arranged on the support surface and the flexible anchoring bottom to the patterns to be secured.
