Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

    ''Came fixe ou mobile disposé sur leplaque de.- serrure des machines Jacquard rectilignes.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   @   droite.

    '' Fixed or mobile cam placed on the lock plate of straight Jacquard machines.

   The present invention consists in placing a cam, either fixed or movable, on one of the sides of the lock plates of certain rectilinear Jacquard machines; the shape of this cam depends on the place or the system on which it is desired to be applied.

   The main purpose of this cam is to negate the effect of the lock whenever it is desirable. The cam in fact brings the needles and keys pushed into action by the Jacquard roller back to their original position, activating their operation only when the carriage returns: the cam is in fact only on one side or on the left. is

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   @ right.

   In the event that the smallness or the complication of the construction of the lock plate does not allow the cam to be placed / it can be mounted outside this plate, it is at. say on one side of the truck / without this having any influence on its operation.

   The advantages of the adaptation of this cam are / for the two-color designs in a row: 1 that the mesh is much more elongated and therefore more beautiful and in all points similar to that of machines known as "Jacquard" , 2 that the resulting designs are significantly larger with the same number of steel cards, 3 that it removes all steel cards with empty rows, now interspersed to achieve the same effect.

   For three-color designs in a row and extended by uniform fabric advantages are as follows: 1 that the cam / being turned off during knitting of the design in elongated stitches, finds its use in knitting in the vni en extension; that it gives this fabric the same thickness with the same support as the Jacquard fabrics; a single full Jacquard card is sufficient for this purpose, 2 that by this method and the use of this cam / the movement can be continued with the rev counter alone, the lock remains in place and the chain link chain can be stopped or the paper card device, hence the obvious advantage of chain links, links, or paper cards and hence also increased walking safety.

     Other features of the present invention will emerge from the description below, made with reference to the figures of the accompanying drawing, which represent one embodiment of the present invention.

Fig. 1 shows a plan view of one of the lock plates of certain reotilinear Jacquard machines, the machine operating normally, that is to say the additional cam not working or being deactivated (by raising p. eg - even rigid, 'it has no effect) *
Fig. 2 is a plan view of one of the lock plates of the rectilinear machine, the latter operating on a Jacqard basis and the additional oame being activated, bringing the needles back to their starting point without them being able to take stitches or be able to be unmask.

 The regular cams attached to the straight / q11i Jacquard machine plates can be moved on these plates by means of the grooves provided in the plate.

   These keys cl, o2 can therefore occupy positive ons as soon as position c'1. occupied by the cam cl in figure Z and the position c'B / ocoupe by the 0.3 rd c 2 in figure! 6t These cam cutters slide along the part p, approximately trlanETIaire. s represents the fixed ser ruro of the Jaeqard machine and 5 and s are the rigid / ton day locks in function, while s'1 and sT2 are the locks s1 and s2 in position such that they are inactive. a represents the heels of the needles which may occupy

      of the heels of the needles, that is to say that the heels of the air guilles are brought back to their base n n 'by other means than the cam o. Here the cam is useless, but does not interfere either (ordinary knitting).

   In the case of figure 3 / the cam e is activated and the side 13 strongly and fixedly protrudes on the plate
 EMI4.1
 lock of the machina, brings the aiu.i7.les back to their original level, that is to say that the heels of these are pushed automatically to their level n n 'starting from the level m m'.
 EMI4.2
 In this way the needles will not have taken mesh. Mesh is avoided because the aiguillas are not pushed.
 EMI4.3
 fully seated by the Jacquar-à roller.

   In the case of FIG. 3, the carriage moves in the direction of arrow f ', that is to say opposite to that of arrow f of FIG. 2, the machine runs Jacquard and works. Cam c is still in operation, but side 23 of it, of special construction / does not interfere with the function of the lock! and allows the formation of stitches. the groin can take very complicated shapes !; the shape in fact depends on the secondary cams used by machine manufacturers.

   It goes without saying that the present invention is not limited
 EMI4.4
 to the embodiment described / but that it can undergo constructional modifications, without thereby departing from the scope of the present invention.
