avec arrachements partiels montrant le mode de cons- crue Lion de differents éléments de la lampe;

A third object of the invention is to / provide a device making it possible to diffuse simultaneously substantially on all points of the surface of the plate the heat which one wishes to remove at said surface.
The other aims and advantages of the invention will appear from the following description of an embodiment given by way of example and shown in the appended drawing in: which: FIG. 1 shows an elevation view
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
with partial cut-outs showing the Lion's mode of consecration of different elements of the lamp;
Fig. 2 shows a plan view of a number of said elements.
The invention is applied to a lamp arranged to operate with an alternating current, said lamp comprising a casing 10 mounted on a socket 11 on which are fixed the necessary contact members (not shown in the drawing). a support 12, which is integral with the aforementioned casing 10 and which is situated inside this casing, supports a certain number of the elements of the lamp.
For this purpose on said support are sealed rods or ascending uprights 13, 14 and 15
One of the uprights 13 supports the lower end of a filament 16 and the other upright 13 extends rearwardly and upward. under conditions which are not shown in the drawing in order to maintain by means of a spring 17 visiole at the upper part of FIG, 1 the upper end of the filament 16.
The latter is surrounded by a tubular cathode 18 which is supported by its upper part by means of a triangular blade 19 welded to the upper end of the upright 13; this same cathode is supported at its lower end by means of a triangular member 20 welded to the upright 14.
In accordance with this -lui is indicated at 21, said cathode is, of course ;, coated with a suas--

tance capable of emitting electrons.
The grid of the lamp consists of a wire 22 wound in a helix around two uprights 23 welded to the upper part of the aforementioned uprights 15.
Additional fixing means (not shown) are also provided at the upper part of the uprights. Grid supports 23.
The plate 24 may be made by means of a bent wire mesh or wire mesh in a generally cylindrical shape but under such conditions as to provide fins 25 projecting outwardly and extending radially. up to a short distance from the cylindrical surface of the plate.
Said fins are obtained by bending the mesh or mesh in the radial direction outwards, then by folding said mesh back on itself; they are arranged sufficiently close to each other so that the heat received by the part between two fins can flow to one or the other of said fins or to both and is diffused easily and quickly through them.
1 place where the mesh is folded up in order to form the fins, the two elements which constitute the fin are applied tightly against each other, more especially at the base of the fin, so that it does not there is no opening between the two walls in question and, consequently, so that the electrons cannot be projected into the fins.

Said uprights 26 are curved in the vicinity of said tubular element 27 of support 12 and their lower ends can be welded to a sleeve 28 incurring the aforementioned tubular element 27.
The sleeve 28 can be fixed in place on the support 12 in any way and can, for example, be bolted.
It may also be desirable to provide an electrical connection to the plate without passing through the support 12; said connection may be made by means of a conductor 29 fixed to one of the supports 26 and sealed in an opening 30 provided at the base of the Insulation 27 of the support 12, the sleeve 28 being), in accordance with. what is indicated, suitably notched to leave free space for the seal in question.
From the foregoing, it follows very clearly that the Applicant has provided a thermionic lamp anode capable of easily diffusing heat and of remaining by itself at a temperature lower than usual. , which has the effect of increasing the efficiency of the lamp. It goes without saying that numerous modifications could be made to the embodiment indicated by way of example without, for this, departing from the scope of the invention.
