 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   Fig. I - montre   l'appareil,en   élévation,

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

  Alternative distribution device for various waters for washing bottles and other containers.

   The various bottle washing apparatuses currently in use require the intervention of a large workforce, difficult to obtain, and have the drawback of causing quite a number of bottle breaks, caused by the sudden and immediate arrival of water heated to high temperature; untimely arrival produced by errors made in the handling of the washing and rinsing water distribution taps.

   These errors also cause losses and cooling of hot water which then flows in the same direction as cold water and vice versa.

   These drawbacks are observed especially in small and medium-sized installations, where large washing and rinsing machines cannot be adopted.

     Thus, the feeding by hand of the washing machines of bottles and other containers necessitates an apparatus system of which the present invion is the object.

   Following what precedes the present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks and reduce the manpower necessary for the servioe of said washers.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   It consists of an alternative distribution device for the different water, cold and hot, necessary for the devices to wash bottles and other containers, and to recover hot water after washing or use, as well as the essential recovery of cold water. distribution and recovery by using a single valve and by a single control movement.

   This control movement is carried out by having the olef describe successively for this purpose a quarter of a circle on a (.disc attached to the valve plug, which of special construction, makes it possible to perform all the cleaning olef.
 EMI2.1
 and sterilization, to. boiling water, mmnmmrmfum as well as rinsing with cold water, in a semicircle céursa and in the following order: FIRST STAGE.- Admission of cold water for the removal of bottoms of bottles , the olef indicator being placed in the center of the bearer disc after having deorit a first quarter of a circle.

  SECOND STAGE.- Admission of boiling water, while the cold water already introduced in the washer is not yet completely eliminated, by continuing the first movement in the second quarter of a circle described on the cursor disc, in - key indicator going to the far right.

  THIRD STAGE.- Admission of cold water, while the hot water is not entirely evacuated, for rinsing by a new quarter-circle described in return from the preoé-dent aveo movement, again, stop in the center.

  FOURTH STAGE.- Complete emptying and stopping all water intake, to allow the removal of the bottles and their replacement by others to be washed, by continuing the return movement to arrive again, with the key, at the point starting point.

   The accompanying drawings show, by way of example, a practical although ohematic realization of the alternative water distribution apparatus, for bottle washing apparatus.

 and other containers.

   Fig. I - shows the device, in elevation,
Fig. II - is a view of 1 apparatus, in plan, Fig. III - is a vertical section of the shutter valve,
Fig. IV - is the plan view of said olapet seen from below, Fig. V- shows the tap in plan on a larger scale, Fig. VI-VII shows in section the said valve, Fig. VIII shows a partial section of the bottom of evacuation and re-cut.

   Referring to these Figures 1 shows the valve plug, which is three-way; one of these channels 2 is extended by an elbow 3 leading the water to the washer.

   On this elbow, is adapted, by means of a screw thread, an extension 4.

   The mobile part which produces the obturation (or nut) 5, having the shape of a truncated cone, is hollowed out in a special way as indicated by number 6 of FIG. VII; the orifice 7 has the elongated shape.

   The nut 5 is surmounted by a pin 8 of cubic shape on which is placed the olef 9. This key or lever ends at one of its ends with an indicator 10 of pointed shape and on the other with a handle 11. Under the olef and at the desired distance is a stopper 12, of oubique shape and of appropriate height.

   On the valve plug is fixed a disc (slider) 13 cut out in such a way that half of its circumference is narrower than the other, revealing on its diametrical line two projections 14 & 14a, against which the stopper will abut stop 12 of key 3 when the latter is in the extreme positions.

   On the slider disc 13 a wheel 15 is placed between it and the olef 9; this roller is provided with a groove intended for the conduit of the cable 16 fixed to the olef at point 17.

   On the extension 4 is fixed, by means of flanges 18 held in place by means of bolts and nuts 19, a

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

 bracket of appropriate length 20, at the end of which and laterally to one of its faces 21, another roller 22 is placed.

   The oable 16 slides into the groove of the roller 22 and is fixed at the other end to a valve 23.

   This valve is composed of four pallets 24 arranged in a cross and fixed to a core 23 and joined at their upper part by a cap é6 (cap). On the entire lower periphery of this cap is fitted a rubber ring, 37.

   A funnel 28 of cubic shape completes the apparatus.

   At the bottom of this funnel 28 is a discharge pipe 29, the opening 30 of which is closed by the valve 23.

   Dansune desparois of said funnel 28 an opening 31 is made and is intended to ensure the flow of hot water and is recovered by the oanal of pipe 32.

   The latter and its opening are placed at a certain distance from the bottom.

    Operation:
For the admission and, after use, the evacuation of water, the procedure is as follows:
The appliance being placed in working order, the bottles having been placed in the washing machine, the worker takes in hand the button or handle 11 of the key 9 and makes the latter describe a quarter of a circle so as to that the indicator 10 is in the center of the bearer disc 13; the tap providing passage to the cold water, this enters the bottle washer and performs its function.

   Following this movement the cable 16 fixed to the key 9 follows the movement of the latter, comes to be placed in the groove of the caster 15, and consequently, imparts an upward movement to the valve 23 which s 'rises in the discharge tube 29 of the funnel 28 and discovers the opening 30.

   When the necessary time has elapsed (a few seconds), the worker has a second quarter of an oerole on the

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

 bearer disc 13 so that indicator 10 is at point 14 of cursor 13.

   This movement has the result of blocking the opening of pipe F, through which the cold water arrives, and of putting the washer pipe in communication with the inlet pipe, hot water, C.

   The high temperature water entering the washer while there is still cold water in the store of the said washer does not immediately arrive in contact with the bottles. This temperature will only reach its maximum after evacuation of the cold water left in the store, which prevents the bottles from breaking.

   When the time required for sterilization has elapsed, the worker has the key indicator describe a new quarter of an oil, but this time in the opposite direction to the first two, which has the effect of blocking the hot water pipe. 0.

   The cold water is directed again towards the store of the washer, enters the latter and mixes with the high temperature water which is still there, ohasses it out and proceeds to the rinsing of the bottles, which cooled. gradually cannot break down.

   During this time the hot water is evacuated towards the recovery funnel 23, the valve of which is lowered as a result of the distention of the oable 16 which follows the return movement of the olef, 9.

   Finally the worker completes the operation by making his last quarter-circle exeoute to the key, returning to point 14a, and closing the distributor valve 1 with the same movement:
The appliance is off, the bottles are removed from the washer and other bottles to be washed are placed in it.
