La présente invention a pour objet un bas, éventuelle- ment chaussette ou chausson, dont certaines parties sont renforcées par un tissu élastique ou caoutchouté.
Ce genre nouveau de réalisation de bas permet le ren- forcement élastique et notamment à certains endraits sujets à usure rapide.
Cette invention permet ussi de préserver les talons exposés de l'humidité par l'emploi d'un tissu caoutchouté alors que le renforcement élastique confère aux extrémités du pied de bas,une plus longue durée.
Un autre avantage réalisé par l'invention, mais d'un tout autre genre, réside dans le fait que les bas et chaus- settes renforcés aux extrémités d'un tissu ou tricot élas- tique empêchent la venue de corps au pieds et durillons, du fait que l'élasticité du tissu adoucit la marche et la pression du cuir de la chaussure contre le pied.
