<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Il peut se faire que lorsqu'on a enlevé l'organe de liaison de l'étrier celui-ci se détaché lui-même plus ou moins, de sorte que le personnel court'déjà de ce fait un certain risque. Dans ce cas, pour augmenter la sécurité, l'organe de laison e de l'étrier est constitué de façôn à pouvoir être détaché distance;
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
Il est préférable que les endroits courbés b1 de l'étrier b soment renflés;

Corner assembly for the formwork of mining galleries.
This invention relates to a corner assembly for the formwork of mine galleries, formed of two stirrups articulated between them, in which one of the stirrups embraces one of the parts of the ocffage frame while the other stirrup embraces the other part of the shuttering frame.
An angle-assembly of this kind has the advantage of allowing-modifications of the angle-between the two pieces of the formwork or a sliding of these two pieces with respect to each other between certain limits c ' that is to say, to the extent that the modification of the shape of the stirrup (s) or of the crushing bodies inserted in these stirrups allows it.The clamping pressure to which the assembly parts and the formwork parts are mutually subjected, however, makes difficult
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
disassembly of the assembly when you want to 'undo the formwork.
To facilitate the disassembly of the assembly part, at least one of the brackets is established, according to the invention so as to be divided transversely but, on the other hand, at least one of the brackets will embrace at the same time. while the other stirrup of the formwork pieces, so that even having removed the stirrup connecting members, the corner assembly and the formwork pieces keep each other in their position under the ground pressure until 'after removal of the transversely divided stirrup itself This transverse division of one of the stirrups or both stirrups further facilitates the joining of the stirrups together.
According to another characteristic of the invention, ^ the union of the two stirrups between them canp without requiring the division into two parts of one of the stirrups or both, be further simplified and made cheaper if, instead of providing the ends of one of the calipers with threads and nuts, which is relatively expensive, or if instead of bending the ends of one of the calipers, which is complicated, because this bending can only be done 'After a reunion of the two stirrups together, one of the stirrups is instead provided with notches having at least in part a width such that the terminal bulges of the other stirrup can be driven through these notches.
In this case, the terminal bulges of the sort can be formed before the meeting of the two stirrups together, and for

reunite the two stirrups, it suffices simply to push in the terminal bulges of the branches which have been slightly separated from the stirrup beforehand; through the notches in the other caliper - and then squeeze the calipers to give them the correct gap; the two brackets can then no longer detach from each other.
The reunion of the two stirrups is still more simply done when one of, * ,, two stirrups is in two pieces, because in this case it becomes superfluous to first move the branches of the another bracket forming the angle assembly to then bring them closer by pressure.
Figures 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawing show an embodiment of the new corner assembly and its mode of application, in side elevation and in plan.
Figure 3 shows a plan of a second embodiment.
FIG. 4 shows a third embodiment in side elevation.
Figures 5 and-6 show, in plan and side elevation, a fourth embodiment.
The corner assembly for the formwork of the mine galleries forming a frame is formed in a cannue fashion by two brackets a and b articulated between them, one of the brackets embracing one of the parts ± of the formwork and the other bracket embracing the other part d of the formwork.
One of the stirrups or even the two stirrups are divided transversely according to 2 'Intention in

that at least one of the two brackets still adheres to the part of the formwork which it embraces., even after the enlément of the connecting member L which is favored by the pressure under which the brackets and the parts of the formwork are mutually submitted as a result of

the thrust of the land; it follows that after 1 'en1 c vazent e ,, the formwork parts and: J:' corner assembly keep mutual. ment 1 - their position in the presence of the thrust of the ground, until the part or both parts of the transversely divided stirrups are themselves removed.
This construction of the corner assembly therefore makes it possible to remove

the connecting members of the stirrup, and then releasing the split stirrup remotely from the part to the formwork, which can be done for example in the simplest way by means of a long bar or analogous instrument. The separation seal

of 1 caliper a can, instead of being arranged xmxx at? KH1eM ..- coKMe it is shown, be arranged on the side of the caliper.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
It can happen that when the connecting member has been removed from the caliper, it becomes more or less detached itself, so that the personnel already run a certain risk. In this case, to increase safety, the link member e of the stirrup is formed so that it can be detached from a distance;
in the. embodiment of figures 1 and 2, for example the wedge of the bolt and the connecting bolt can be pushed back when the operator is at a certain distance, likewise the clamp e of figure 4 can be rettm at a distance and one can then remove, when standing at an even greater distance, the cross-divided stirrup itself, the other stirrup then also disengaging from the formwork. Therefore, when removing the formwork, the danger is significantly reduced with the present corner joint construction over the heretofore known types of constructions.
As in the present case, the constituent parts of the corner assembly are not deformed, they can be used again, most of the time without subsequent machining.
In the embodiment according to Figures 5 and 6, the bracket b instead of being provided with nuts or curved or equiblent parts presents terminal bulges q which can be welded, but which are more advantageously obtained by flattening or discharge, and the stirrup a has interlinks having at least in part a size such that the terminal bulges g
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
of the stirrup b can be driven through the slits or notches f These can be round, but they are more advantageously elongated, and they can be particularly in the form of bayonet closures as shown.
If the two calipers are in one piece, the legs of the caliper with the terminal bulges must first be spread apart until the free distance between the bulges q corresponds to the width of the caliper. g When the terminal bulges there. are located, in view of the joining of two stirrups together, above the widest part of the slot f the stirrup b is pressed so as to occupy the normal width shown in figure 5, and the two stirrups are then united together in an unbreakable way
It is preferable that the bent places b1 of the stirrup b are swollen;
if the terminal bulges there. are obtained by repression, the bulges b1des branches can be observed at the same time by repression.
