  S.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   L'invention   sera.,   du reste, mieux comprise en se referant au dessin annexé qui en montre, à titre d'exemple, quelques formes possibles de réalisation et notamment:   fig.l,   une vue de la pelote en coupe longitudinale; fig.2, une.vue de la pelote du c8te de son moyen de fixation sur la ceinture; fig.3, une vue montrant le mode d'introduction de la plaque et du coussin à l'intérieur de la poche devant les enrober; fig.4 et 5, deux variantes vues en coupe;

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

    RÉSUMÉ     Perfectionnements   a.ux pelotes des bandages herniaires, ca- racterises en ce que la pelote consiste en une plaque-support ri- gide, en un coussin élastique clos. et, enfin, en une poche externe de caoutchouc ou tissu caoutchouté en forme de blague,à tabacnen- robant complètement, à la fois le coussin et la. plaque-support et presentant seulement une petite ouverture sur   l'une   de ses. faces. pour permettred'introduire plaque et   couss.in;

     une fois le cous- sin et la plaque-rigide, mis en place dans la poche, couverture susdite laisse simplement accessible le dispositif de fixation de la pelote sur la barrette de .la ceinture ou sur le ressort, le dit moyen de fixation consistant avantageusement en un bouton-pression permettant toute orientation de la pelote.

  PATENT D 'N V L N T 3 O N Improvements to the pads of hernial bandages
Hernial bandage balls usually consist of a rigid plate, elastic stuffing, and a sheepskin, velor or other moleskin (moleskin) envelope, sewn around the plate.

   The stuffing gradually loses its initial flexibility; it can be deformed and the ball can thus lose its effectiveness; moreover, the casing cannot be easily cleaned.

   The object of the invention is to obviate these drawbacks and is aimed at a novel ball system consisting of a rigid support plate, a closed elastic cushion and, finally, an external pocket. of rubber or rubberized fabric in the shape of a tobacco pouch completely enveloping, at a time. the cushion and the support plate and having only a small opening on one of its faces to allow the insertion of the plate and the cushion. Once the cushion and the rigid plate are in place in the pocket, the aforesaid opening simply leaves accessible the device for fixing the ball to the bar of the belt or on the spring.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   This method of attachment will advantageously consist of a simple button-presaion la.issant any mobility to the ball for its orientation.

   The invention will, moreover, be better understood by referring to the appended drawing which shows, by way of example, some possible embodiments thereof and in particular: fig.l, a view of the ball in longitudinal section; fig.2, une.vue of the ball of the c8te of its fastening means on the belt; fig.3, a view showing the mode of introduction of the plate and the cushion inside the pocket to be coated; fig.4 and 5, two variants seen in section;
In this drawing, a designates the rigid support plate, b is the elastic cushion containing a soft or deformable material such as horsehair or other stuffing, mass or waste of foam rubber, plastic mass and weight such as mercury, lead in granules, etc ...

     Plate and cushion b are completely wrapped in a pocrre ç of rubber or rubberized fabric in the shape of a tobacco pouch.

   This pocket has a single small opening, possibly limited by a bead preventing the pocket from bursting or tearing.

   Once. plate and cushion placed in the pocket, the opening d leaves accessible the fastening device f or, respectively f 'of the ball to the bar or spring g of the belt.

   This device will advantageously consist of a simple press button f 'h' leaving the possibility of giving the ball the most suitable orientation and allowing the ball to be changed instantly.

   This fixing device may also consist (fig.) Of a chin f cooperating with a slot h of the bar and allows

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 both the locking of the ball on the bar g by rotation of 90 in the direction of arrow j.

   Finally, the edge has. ' of the support plate a can be rounded as shown in Figure 4 or rolled as shown in Figure 5, so as not to risk cutting the pocket c or injuring.

   It goes, moreover, without saying that the invention may receive, depending on the case and application, all modifications of detail which do not alter the principle thereof.

    SUMMARY Improvements to the pads of the hernia bandages, characterized in that the pad consists of a rigid support plate, a closed elastic pad. and, finally, in an outer pouch of rubber or rubberized fabric in the form of a joke, completely snuffing out both the cushion and the. support plate and having only a small opening in one of its. faces. to allow inserting plate and cushion;

     once the cushion and the rigid plate, in place in the pocket, the aforementioned cover simply leaves the device for fixing the ball to the bar of the belt or to the spring accessible, the said fixing means advantageously consisting in a press-stud allowing any orientation of the ball.
