Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Mobile boom with passes through the body, for the evacuation of ice and floating bodies.

   The invention relates to movable dams on water currents or to outlets of natural or artificial lakes. The mobile dam can be a valve of any system, automatic or non-automatic.

   The attached drawing shows an example of execution, FIG. 1 being a side view and FIG. 2 a plan view.

   In these figures, the body of the mobile dam is a valve with segment a, in other words also with sector, provided with passes passing therethrough. These passes are made between the wall µ ensuring the retention r, and the main beam c forming a support for the wall b, and transferring the thrust of the water onto the journals d of the valve a. The connection of the wall b with the main beam c of the valve a is achieved by support members forming the side walls 1 of the passes and transferring to the main beam c the pressure that water exerts on the wall b . All the walls of the passes are encased so that the floating bodies cannot engage in the structure of the valve a.

   The passes p are provided at their mouths with closing members f, for example in the form of valves which can be actuated by small winches, not shown. These valves and their controls are accessible by a catwalk & provided on valve a. It goes without saying that the closing members f can also be automatic or maneuverable from a gateway independent of the valve a.

   Summary.

   In summary, the invention relates to a mobile dam of any system or type characterized by one or more passes through the body and allowing the evacuation of water, ice and bodies floating or suspended in water, the passes can be non-closing or closing by automatic or non-automatic closing members.
