Clasp for jewelry necklaces or for electric belts.
According to the present invention, a clasp is obtained by means of which the metal link can be removed without any degradation and replaced by another. It is thus possible, after having obtained various metal links of different lengths, to thread the pearls or the like, according to the taste and the own idea of each one and to prepare oneself, without foreign aid, necklaces of any desired length.
Another advantage lies in the construction of the clasp; by opening it, the beads can slide out of the link and it is thus possible, without difficulty, to remove dust, perspiration, etc.
The novelty consists in that in the part forming half of the clasp and provided with a screw thread, engages the tail of a clamping member, whose projecting, conical or domed head is split and threaded and provided with 'a nut. By screwing this nut, the metal link passing through the head is tightened and, as a result of the elastic pressure exerted by this head, can no longer be removed.
The part forming the other half of the clasp is provided with a spring which aims not only to make the pearls apply well against each other, but also to leave a certain

play in the metal link so as to prevent it breaking when the necklace is worn.
One form of construction of the object of the invention is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing, in which:
Fig.1 is a sectional view of the open clasp and
Fig. 2, a plan of the split head, provided with a nut.
The clasp for jewelry necklaces or for electric belts has two parts a and b constituting two half clasps and made of any insulating material. The shank d of the tightening member is fixed in the desired manner in part a, with thread c, forming half of the clasp.
The protruding head e, with slots f, is made of conical shape and is provided with a clamping nut. The metal link i passes through the bore h. When the metal wire i is introduced into the two parts a and b of the clasp, the disc k and the spring 1 are first slipped over this wire. The reinforcement m serves as a stop. The end of the link, not provided with reinforcement, is then passed through the bore o, the beads are threaded and then the link is passed through the bore $ of part a of the clasp and through the clamping member. When the beads are tidy, the nut is tightened so that the metal link i cannot come free.
CLAIMS.
1.- Clasp for jewelry necklaces or for electric belts characterized in that the tail (d) of the tightening member, the projecting and convex head of which is split, is fixed inside the part (a) forming half of the clasp, made of any insulating material and provided with a screw thread (c).
