Description

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

  Footwear improvement.

   The present invention relates to an improvement in shoes; ankle boots, boots, etc. which consists in replacing the hard end of the upper by a "hoof" of hearing which extends on the sides towards the back of the shoe, is sewn with the comb, and is fixed on the other hand to the sole in any known manner.

   In lightweight shoes, there are already long toe caps on the upper and along the sole, but this is for purely decorative or fancy purposes.

  The invention, on the contrary, pursues a utilitarian aim and aims to increase the solidity of the shoe at the same time as its comfort. The invention therefore applies more particularly, although not limitingly, to strong shoes for walking and long use. The substitution of a soft leather piece at the hard end of the upper makes the shoe softer on the foot, while the side extensions of the same soft leather piece reinforce the upper.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   A shoe according to the invention has been shown by way of nonlimiting example in the appended drawing in which:
Fig 1 is a side elevational view of the shoe, and Fig.2 is a plan view of the same.

   In this drawing, the upper of the shoe has been designated by 1 and its sole 2. It can be seen that instead of the hard end of the upper, a softer piece of leather 3 has been provided, which takes the place of the hard end, but extends notably towards the rear, on the sides of the shoe, for example. the parts 4,4 '.

  This part 3 4,4 'is on the one hand sewn to the upper, on the other hand fixed to the sole in a known manner.

    CLAIMS.

   ----------------------------
1. Improvement in shoes, boots, boots, etc. consisting in replacing the hard end of the upper by a "leather clog @ which extends over the sides towards the rear of the shoe, and which is on the one hand sewn to the upper, on the other hand attached to the sole in any known manner.
