La présente invention se rapporte aux dispositifs pour suspendre ou supporter des articles d'habillement et elle a pour objet un dispositif de suspension ou de support perfectionné qui, lorsqu'on l'emploie pour des pantalons, culottes de golf ou vêtements analogues, permet de se passer de bretelles, épaulières et autres bandes ou ceintures employées couramment, et qui, lorsqu'on l'emploie pour des chaussettes, bas ou articles analogues, remplace les boucles employées jusqu'ici, qui abîment facilement les chaussettes,

bas ou articles analogues et qui incommodent fréquemment et peuvent même blesser la personne portant le vêtement.
Suivant l'invention, on constitue en entier ou en partie ou on garnit les bandes de ceinture de pantalons, culottes ou vêtements analogues, ou les jarretières, jarretelles ou autres dispositifs de suspension pour chaussettes, bas ou articles analogues, d'un tissu à poils garni de poils de mohair coupés, ou de poils analogues, "couchés" ou inclinés de telle manière qu'au cours de l'usage les poils pénètrent dans la chemise ou autre sous-vêtement enfilé immédiatement en-dessous du pantalon , de la culotte ou vêtement analogue et maintiennent celui-ci en place, ou pénètrent dans la chaussette, bas ou article analogue les recouvrant directement et l'empêchent de glisser.
On décrira ci-après l'invention en se référant au dessin annexé dans lequel:

de la patte de suspension pour jarretelles ou articles analogues exécutée conformément à l'invention.
Sur le dessin annexé, le tissu à poils 8, repr.é- senté sur la Fig. 1, est tissé avec des poils de mohair 9 ou d'autres poils ou soies appropriés qui ont été coupés et "couchés" par des procédés bien connus dans le métier de manière à être inclinés par rapport à la base ou toile 10 du tissu. De préférence, les poils 9 sont "tissés à fond" dans la base ou toile 10 du tissu 8. On peut raidir la base ou toile 10 du tissu en l'imprégnant ou en enduisant sa face postérieure au moyen de caoutchouc ou en la traitant au moyen de colle ou de toute autre manière appropriée.
Quand on applique l'invention aux vêtements garnis d'une bande de ceinture,, par exemple aux pantalons, culottes de golf ou vêtements analogues, on garnit la bande de ceinture 11 du vêtement 12, représentée sur les Figs. 2 et 3, sur sa face intérieure, d'une doublure 13 en tissu à poils disposée de manière que les poils soient orientés vers le bas. La doublure 13 peut avoir la forme d'une bande faisant le tour des hanches depuis un point voisin d'un côté de la fente avant du pantalon jusqu'à un point voisin de l'autre côté de la fente, comme c'est représenté sur la Fig. ,2. Ou bien la doublure 13 peut être constituée par un certain nombre de pièces de tissu à poils disposées à des intervalles appropriés. La doublure 13 peut être fixée sur la bande de ceinture 11 par piqûre ou de toute autre manière appropriée.
Quand au cours de l'usage on fixe la bande de ceinture 11 du pantalon 12 au moyen de la patte usuelle 11a ou de toute autre manière, les poils de la doublure 13, orientés vers le bas, pénètrent dans la chemise 14 ou dans un autre sous-vêtement enfilé immédiatement en-dessous du

pantalon. La pénétration des poils de la doublure 13 dans le sous-vêtement a le double effet d'empêcher le pantalon ou vêtement 12 de glisser vers le bas et d'empêcher le sous-vêtement 14 de se relever.
Quand on applique l'invention à une jarretière comprenant un ruban 15 en tissu élastique (Figs. 4,5 et 6), agencée de manière à être fixée à la jambe au-dessus du mollet, on omet la patte usuelle munie d'un bouton destiné à être passé sous la chaussette et d'une boucle destinée à pincer le bouton. Au lieu de cette patte on prévoit une patte 16 faite ou garnie d'un tissu à poils tel que décrit ci-dessus, et dans ce cas le tissu à poils est disposé de manière que les poils soient orientés vers le haut. De préférence, l'extrémité supérieure de la patte 16 est cousue entre deux morceaux de cuir ou de matière analogue 17 entre lesquels est cousue en outre une des extrémités du ruban 15.
L'autre extrémité du ruban 15 porte une boucle 18 destinée à saisir un bouton 19, fixé sur la pièce antérieure 17, de manière à maintenir le ruban sur la jambe. Les bords de la patte 16 en tissu à poils peuvent être renforcés par piqûre, en 20, pour éviter que les fils se relâchent.
Quand on enfile la chaussette par dessus la patte 16, comme c'est représenté sur la Fig. 6, les poils du tissu, orientés vers le haut, pénètrent dans la chaussette et la maintiennent en place en lui assurant un aspect soigné et élégant.
Dans le cas de jarretelles pour bas de dames, la patte de tissu à poils 16 peut avoir une plus grande longueur et une plus grande largeur que dans le cas de jarretières pour chaussettes, et elle peut même être suffisamment large pour entourer la plus grande partie de la jambe de façon que

les jarretelles résistent à la traction quand la personne qui les porte s'incline ou se penche. La patte peut être fixée directement à la bande de ceinture, corset ou sous-vêtement analogue ou à des bandes 22 (Fig. 7) qui y sont suspendues comme précédemment. Les bandes 22 peuvent être faites, à volonté, d'un tissu élastique ou d'une matière non élastique et elles peuvent être reliées aux pattes 16 par piqûre ou autrement.
REVENDICATIONS
1. Pantalons, culottes ou vêtements analogues, garnis d'une bande de ceinture, ou jarretières, jarretelles ou autres dispositifs de suspension pour chaussettes, bas ou articles analogues,caractérisés en ce qu'ils sont faits en entier ou en partie ou sont garnis d'un tissu à poils garni de poils de mohair coupés, ou de poils analogues, "couchés" ou inclinés de telle manière qu'au cours de l'usage les poils pénètrent dans le sous-vêtement porté immédiatement en-dessous du pantalon, culotte de golf ou vêtement analogue, ou dans la chaussette, bas ou article analogue les recouvrant directement, en substance comme c'est décrit ci-dessus dans le but spécifié.

In the accompanying drawing, the pile fabric 8, shown in FIG. 1, is woven from mohair pile 9 or other suitable pile or bristle which has been cut and "layered" by methods well known in the art so as to be inclined relative to the base or web 10 of the fabric. Preferably, the bristles 9 are "fully woven" into the base or web 10 of the fabric 8. The base or web 10 of the fabric can be stiffened by impregnating it or by coating its rear face with rubber or by treating it. by means of glue or in any other suitable manner.
When applying the invention to garments fitted with a waistband, for example trousers, golf pants or the like, the waistband 11 of the garment 12, shown in Figs, is trimmed. 2 and 3, on its inner face, a lining 13 made of pile fabric arranged so that the pile faces downwards. Or the liner 13 can be made up of a number of pieces of pile fabric arranged at suitable intervals. The liner 13 can be attached to the waistband 11 by stitching or in any other suitable manner.
When, during use, the belt band 11 of the pants 12 is fixed by means of the usual tab 11a or in any other way, the hairs of the lining 13, facing downwards, penetrate into the shirt 14 or into a other undergarment put on immediately below the

trousers. The penetration of the hairs of the liner 13 into the undergarment has the dual effect of preventing the pants or garment 12 from sliding down and preventing the undergarment 14 from rising.
When the invention is applied to a garter comprising a ribbon 15 of elastic fabric (Figs. 4,5 and 6), arranged so as to be fixed to the leg above the calf, the usual tab provided with a calf is omitted. button intended to be passed under the sock and a loop intended to pinch the button. When the sock is put on over the tab 16, as shown in FIG. 6, the pile of the fabric, facing upwards, penetrates the sock and holds it in place ensuring a neat and elegant appearance.
In the case of garters for ladies' stockings, the pile fabric placket 16 may have a greater length and width than in the case of garters for socks, and it may even be wide enough to encompass most of it. of the leg so that
