Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Fig. 1 est une vue en plan et coupe d'un premier mode d'exécution;
Fig. 2 est une vue analogue d'une variante ;
Fig. 3 montre, de même, une autre disposition;
Fig. 4 montre une disposition dans laquelle un seul foyer sert de source de chaleur pour deux chaudières ou sembla- bles ;
Fig. 5 montre une autre variante ;
Fig. 6 montre une disposition à deux tuyères.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 6>

   REVENDICATIONS -------------------------------

   <Desc / Clms Page number 1>

  IMPROVEMENTS TO FIREPLACES, ESPECIALLY TO THOSE FURNISHED WITH SMALL CALIBER FUEL.

   The invention relates to fireplaces, and relates in particular to fireplaces supplied with fuels of small caliber, of the type comprising an unperforated trough in which is formed a bed of fuel supplied continuously by its surface and within. from which air is injected, advantageously under pressure, by one or more nozzles or inflation devices.

   When such an assembly is arranged in front of the fireplace to be associated for example with an existing boiler, it is advantageous to avoid the pipes and fittings on those of the faces of the fore-hearth which is applied to the boiler.

   Under these conditions, however, whether the nozzle (s) or insufflation device (s) are arranged: parallel, perpendicular or otherwise to the connection face, it is extremely laborious, if not impossible to release and extract the bottom ash. which are formed during combustion and surround the nozzle (s) or device s, through the door or other cleaning opening provided on the front face of the fireplace, ie opposite to the connection one. to the boiler @@@ this

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 door or opening does not give access to all the sides or faces of the nozzles or devices on which slag forms during combustion.

   According to the invention, this serious drawback is avoided by arranging the cleaning doors or openings in places such that one can have access on all sides or fronts of the nozzles or insufflation devices on which the machefers. are formed during combustion.

   According to another characteristic of the invention, cleaning doors or openings are provided on one or more faces placed angularly and in particular perpendicular to that of connection with a boiler to be heated.

   According to yet another characteristic of the invention, when the fore-hearth is supplied with blown air, the fan, or other source, is preferably arranged on that of, or in the vicinity of that of, the faces of the front. hearth left free by the door (s) or cleaning openings and the connection with a boiler to be heated.

   Other characteristics of the invention will emerge from the more detailed description which follows of certain preferred embodiments, given of course only by way of example, and shown schematically in the appended drawing, in which:
Fig. 1 is a plan and sectional view of a first embodiment;
Fig. 2 is a similar view of a variant;
Fig. 3 also shows another arrangement;
Fig. 4 shows an arrangement in which a single hearth serves as a heat source for two boilers or the like;
Fig. 5 shows another variant;
Fig. 6 shows an arrangement with two nozzles.

   Referring to FIG. 1, 1 designates the envelope of the fore-hearth, represented in a schematic and conventional manner as to its conformation, this envelope being generally

 Lement circulating water, this circulation preferably being connected to that of the boiler to be heated so as to receive the coldest water.

   In the enclosure formed by the casing 1, following the example chosen, a nozzle or blowing device, conventionally represented at 2, is mounted, the air or other blowing fluid being supplied to it by a fan 4 or any other suitable source, with interposition, in the conduit for supplying the nozzle or insufflation device, of an adjustment member, such as a valve 3,
At 5 in the casing 1, there is an opening ending in a flange or rim 7, and intended for the passage of the flames and combustion products to the boiler to be heated, partially shown at 8.

   At the upper part of the casing 1 is mounted, preferably above the nozzle or device 2, a feed hopper, provided at its base with a closure device, these members not not having been represented.

   In a stove of this type, when fuel, especially of small caliber, is loaded into the hopper, it passes from the latter into the internal space of the casing 1 and spreads there substantially along its slope. natural by covering the nozzle or device 2, and, the hearth then being ignited and air or other oxidizer being injected by the nozzle or device 2, the combustion generates flames, and gases and fumes which pass through the communication 5 in the heating chamber of the boiler 8.

   At the same time, in the fuel bed and on the periphery of the nozzle or device 2, maohefers are formed, indicated by their contour M, which, as can easily be seen in the figure, do not could be easily neither released nor extracted by acting through a door or opening made in the wall E of the casing 1.

   According to the invention, this clearance and this en-

 easy lifting by providing one or more doors or cleansing openings in a wall such as F of the casing 1 and, in the embodiment shown, a cleansing door 6 has been provided which, as can be seen, gives access to all sides or faces of the nozzle or device 2 where bottom ash can form.

   Of course the single door shown is only one example, and one could just as easily provide two doors 6 placed at some distance from each other on the wall F, the single door shown being able to remains to reign over the entire length of this face.

   The door (s) can be mounted on the same wall F, or advantageously also close a front body 9.

   The figure shows ... that the front face E which remained free was used to place the fan 4 and its control motor 10 there, as well as the valve 3, etc.,
In fig. 2 we find the general arrangement of the envelope 1,. of the nozzle or device 2, of the opening 5 and of the door 6 of FIG. 1, but there is also provided a second opening such as 5, designated by 11 and which can be used to connect the hearth to a second boiler to be heated, or be closed by a solid or circulating plate 12.

   The openings 5 and 11 being advantageously established of the same dimensions, the plate 12 can be applied to the opening 5 or to the opening 11, with the result that depending on the arrangement and the available location, the door 6 can be applied. properly oriented in relation to the boiler to be heated.

   For the same purpose, it is possible, if desired, to interpose between the opening 5 (or 11) and the boiler to be heated, a junction piece, such as 13, the faces of which are not parallel, which is particularly interesting when several boilers are, in a narrow room, arranged side by side at more or less reduced intervals.

   Door 6 is then placed in relation to the boiler of

 so as to remain easily accessible, even though another boiler equipped with a similar front hearth would be in the immediate vicinity of the boiler in question.

   In figure 3, the nozzle or device 2 is arranged centrally, and the clinker M can surround it completely,
To ensure easy cleaning, two doors such as 6 are provided, one on each of the side faces of the casing 1, and as can be seen, thanks to the arrangement of these doors, the four sides of the nozzle or device 2 are made accessible, the release and removal of the bottom ash can therefore be done easily.

   Fig. 4 shows a combination of the arrangements according to Figures 2 and 3, The nozzle or device 2 is arranged centrally and two doors such as 6 are provided, one on each of the faces of the casing 1, lateral with respect to one and the other of communications 5 with the boilers to be heated,
The fan 4 and its control motor are arranged laterally and, depending on the available location, the fireplace may be suitably oriented with respect to the boilers with regard to the location of the fan 4, its motor and the accessories.

   As in the case of fig. 2 moreover, if the hearth is to heat only one boiler, one of the communications 5 can be closed by an appropriate shutter member, retaining the advantages mentioned above as regards the orientation of the fan.

   The arrangement of FIG. 5 differs from that of FIG. 3 in that the nozzle or device 2 is oriented differently, and attached to the wall of the casing 1 opposite to the communication 5 with the boiler to be heated. The two doors 6 provided give access to all sides of the nozzle or device 2 on which maohefers can form during combustion.

   In this arrangement, as well as the nozzle or device 2 is attached to the wall opposite the opening 5, this

 in fig. 3 but keeping the orientation shown in fig. $.

  The doors 6 also give access to all sides of the nozzle or device on which bottom ash can form.

   In addition, with the nozzle or device 2 arranged centrally, a second communication 5 could also be provided opposite to the communication 5 shown, with the same destinations as in Figures 2 and 4.

   Finally in FIG. 6, there is shown a furnace arrangement comprising two nozzles or device 2, arranged in the manner indicated in FIG. 1 and two doors 6 have been provided facing these nozzles or devices.

   Naturally, as well as in fig, 2, the fan 4 could be mounted in the vicinity of the wall to which the nozzles or devices 2 are contiguous, providing a second communication 5 opposite to that shown. Of course also the two nozzles or devices could be arranged centrally, adopting for the rest the general arrangement of one of Figures 3 or 4.

   As goes without saying, and as we have already heard, it is understood that the invention is not limited to the arrangements more especially described and shown, but that it encompasses the variants, modifications, as well as the combinations of these provisions.
