<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Fig. 1 représente un système magnétique annulaire.

"System of permanent lovers with pole pieces, in particular for ignition current generators"
The invention relates to permanent magnet systems with pole pieces, in particular for ignition current generators. Heretofore, the pole pieces were usually attached to the magnets by means of screws or the like, or they were attached to a casing surrounding the entire magnetic system and clamped against the magnets. All these known constructions have the drawback that a good assembly can only be obtained by very careful and therefore expensive work of the magnets and the pole pieces. In addition the losses in the pole pieces
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
are increased by the assembly members that enter it.
According to the invention, these drawbacks are overcome by interconnecting the magnets and the pole pieces by means of reciprocally interlocking projections.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 1 represents an annular magnetic system.
Fig. 2 is a section taken along line 2-2 of FIG. 1.
The magnetic system shown is formed by a series of laminated pole pieces a arranged in a circle at equal intervals. Between the pole pieces are magnets b made of a high quality magnetic steel, for example aluminum-nickel steel. The pole pieces and the magnets are connected together by casting the metal of the magnets between the pole pieces provided with protrusions c. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the projections are dovetailed. Around the ring formed by the pole pieces and the magnets is cast a casing of aluminum or other non-magnetic material.
CLAIMS ---------------------------
1.- System of permanent magnets with pole pieces, in particular for generators of ignition current and lighting current, characterized in that the magnets and the pole pieces are connected to each other by means of reciprocally interlocking projections.
