"Prismatic ring device for electric lamps".
The present invention relates to a prismatic ring, making it possible to remove the maximum efficiency from the lighting lamps, that is to say to use the greater part of the luminous flux.
This ring is placed directly on the lamp and for this purpose, is profiled so as to present a neck forming a single piece with the prism. The latter can obviously be at a variable angle depending on the result to be obtained. The composition of the transparent material used, such as crystal for example,

By way of nonlimiting example, one execution is shown in cross section in the accompanying figure.
According to this execution, the prism is composed of two parts, the first of which forms the neck 1, the purpose of which is to support the prism 2, which is obviously brought to a suitable height.
It is easy to provide that the radius of curvature of the internal face of the neck 1 is identical to that of the lamp for which the prism is intended, which therefore makes it possible to obtain a stable fixing.
The second part forming the actual prism 2 is slightly concave or rectilinear on the inside, while the external face forms a certain angle with respect to the vertical axis of the device. This angle is variable, the external face possibly being straight, curved or mixed. The shape of the neck and of the prism can be any, since it depends on the desired effect, however, in general these shapes will have to conform to the profile of the lamp which the device is affected, so especially to respect the height of this prism. The material used can be glass, crystal, mica or any other transparent material, plain, colored or having any characteristics.
CLAIMS.
1.- Prismatic ring device for electric lamps characterized by the fact that it comprises, in main order, and preferably executed in one piece, a support collar and the prism itself, the shape and composition of these elements being determined so as to increase the efficiency in the use of the lamp.
