Raclette de jardinage guidée.
Albert DEHESTRU
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Guided gardening raclette.
Albert DEHESTRU
The present invention relates to a guided gardening squeegee, characterized by the combination of a guide plate resting on the ground with a cutting blade forming a squeegee, this guide plate being rounded so as to allow more or less depression. of the cutting blade in the ground, following the point of the curve taken as support; this modification of depth being obtained by modifying the inclination of the handle of the tool.
The appended drawings show schematically, by way of non-limiting example, an embodiment of the invention.
We see in Figure 1, a guided scraper constructed according to the invention, shown in perspective view, while Figure 2 is a schematic section showing two driving-in positions of the cutting blade.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
So far, gardening tools have been produced in the form of squeegees comprising a cutting blade attached to a support of any shape, but generally produced under the torso of a stirrup carrying a sleeve for fixing a handle.
It took a great deal of practice to use these tools, in order to give the blade the best inclination for the job, and to keep the blade sinking regularly into the ground.
The present invention relates to a squeegee comprising a guide produced in the form of a plate which rests on the ground, this guide automatically giving the squeegee a perfect inclination for the work thereof. this.
Retort can be seen in the accompanying drawings, such a scraper consists of a plate I, preferably composed of a flat part 2 and a curved part indicated at I.
This guide plate is linked to a cutting blade, and this connection can be achieved, as shown in the accompanying drawings, by two side plates 3 and 4, which can be part of the same sheet as the guide plate, being folded down at an angle. right on the flat part of this plaaue.
At the end of these supports, is fixed, by any known means and, for example, by riveting, by soldering or by electric welding, the cutting blade composed of a flat part 5 of cutting edge 6, and of two raised parts 7 and 8, the length of which determines the depression of the cutting blade in the ground when the guide plate is placed on its flat part.
The tool can be completed by a sleeve 9 for fixing a handle 10, this fixing 'being carried out by known means, and this sleeve 9 is fixed to the raised part of the guide plate.
When doing normal work with this tool, that is to say when the part is slid on the ground.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
flat of the plate 2, the cutting blade sinks into the earth and works with a certain inclination determined during the construction of the device.
The earth passes over the cutting blade, as shown by the arrow shown in figure 2, and the gap between this blade and the rear edge of the guide plate is sufficient to allow for the passing of a tuft. grass, a clod of earth, or even a stone of normal dimensions,
If you want to change the depth of the cutting blade during the work, lightly press the handle and the guide plate then rests on the ground by a generatrix of its curved surface, like the shows figure 2, the ground then being indicated by the dashed line a - b.
The depression of the cutting blade is much less, but its inclination, with respect to the ground, is increased, which ensures better ventilation of the portion of earth cut and raised by passing over the more inclined blade. , without the work effort being increased, since the cutting blade has a lesser depth of earth than. stir.
We can therefore, without any training, use this tool in all gardening work where. the need for a squeegee is imposed and, by modification of the inclination of the. cutting blade, that is to say by changing the inclination of the. handle of the tool, all kinds of work can be carried out in different types of soil.
As a variant, a device may be provided for modifying the position of the cutting blade relative to the guide plate and, for this, this blade can be fixed, in a known manner, to the end of the supports 3 and 4 by means of bolts passing through holes in these supports and in slides made in the raised parts 7 and 8 of the cutting blade.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The apparatus being rule and after tightening the bolts, meets the characteristics of the invention, that is to say: combination of a guide plate with a cutting blade, this guide plate allowing by its curvature to modify the. working depth of its cutting blades, without the need to modify the device in any way, once set.
It goes without saying that the shapes, details of execution and, for example, the details of production of supports 3 and 4, the raw materials used both to produce the guide plate, its supports, and the cutting blade, the methods of assembly of the sleeve of the handle on the plate, and finally any arrangements, may vary without departing from the scope of the present invention.
