La présente invention a pour objet des perfection- nements aux protecteurs et notamment aux supports des ta- blettes des radiateurs.
Ces perfectionnements se caractérisent principale- ment par les points suivants appliqués séparément ou en toutes combinaisons, a) Ces supports, fixés directement sur les radia- teurs, présentent une surface supérieure plane, pour recevoir une tablette en toute matière appropriée, ces supports pou-

vant comporter un rebord avant pour maintenir la tablette correctement. b) Le rebord avant peut être monté élastiquement sur le support où il peut être mobile par rapport à celui-ci;
ce rebord peut affecter des formes différentes, en conservant le but qui lui est assigné, de retenir la tablette et de l'empêcher de glisser. e) Chaque support est fixé, par l'intermédiaire soit de ressorts et d'un palonnier, soit de lamelles élastique- ment déformables combinées avec un système de blocage, soit par l'intermédiaire de tiges filetées articulées, soit enfin par des éléments de caoutchouc tels que des sandows. d) Des écrans latéraux peuvent être combinés avec les supporta pour constituer des protecteurs. e) Les écrans latéraux sont formés avec les supports ou sont montés sur ceux-ci d'une manière amovible.
L'invention s'étend encore à d'autres points parti- culiers qui apparaîtront dans le texte suivant fait en réfé- rence au dessin annexé, donné à titre d'exemple seulement, dans lequel :

La figure 10 est une variante de réalisation d'un écran latéral.
Dans la forme de réalisation représentée aux figu- res 1 et 2, chaque support 1 comporte, d'une part, un bord avant 2 et, d'autre part, des crochets 3 et 4.
La fixation du support 1 sur un radiateur, repré- senté en traits mixtes sur le dessin, est assurée par deux ressorts 5 et un palonnier 6 qui prend appui sur la par- tie cylindrique de communication des éléments d'un radiateur.
Dans certains cas, le palonnier 6 pourrait comporter plu- sieurs lumières étagées d'accrochage des ressorts 5 de ma- nière à permettre le réglage de la tension de ceux-ci. On pourrait également dans ce but, utiliser une fixation des ressorts comme illustré à la figure 3 avec des tiges file- tées 8 et des éorous 9 à oreilles. Comme illustré à la figure 1, la tablette 10, en toute matière appropriée, est montée sur les supports 1 et elle est appliquée contre le mur 11, soit directement, soit par l'intermédiaire d'une garniture appropriée.
Dans une variante, non représentée, les ressorts 5 pourraient être réglés par la partie supérieure et au- dessus de la tablette. Dans ce but, les éléments 3 et 4 pourraient comporter une tige filetée combinée avec un écrou par exemple.
Dans l'exemple de la figure 4, la fixation du sup- port 1 est réalisée par un collier constitué par une lamelle élastiquement déformable 15 dont les extrémités perforées peuvent être rapprochées par l'intermédiaire d'un boulon 16 et d'un écrou à oreilles 17 .
Les extrémités de la lamelle 15 sont incurvées pour faciliter la mise en place sur le conduit 7 de jonction.
Les figures 6 et 7 illustrent une autre variante dans laquelle le palonnier 6 est relié au support 1 par l'intermédiaire de tiges filetées 18 et d'écrous 19. On

remarquera que les tiges 18 sont articulées en 20 sur le support 1, ce qui permet d'agir par pression grâce au rebord 2 sur la tablette 10 (figure 1). Dans une variante, non représentée, les parties supérieures des tiges 18 pourraient être fixées rigidement au support 1.
Chaque support pourrait être fixé par des éléments de caoutchouc tels que des sandows, ces derniers pouvant com- porter, dans certains cas, un revêtement protecteur, en amiante par exemple.
Les bords ou becs 2 des supports 1 retiendront la tablette 10 recouvrant le radiateur. Chaque bec 2 peut être obtenu par moulage, par rabattement de la matière de la tablette ou. encore il peut être rapporté de toute manière ap- propriée ; il peut être en une ou plusieurs parties, être continu ou divisé de manière à former un ou plusieurs reliefs.
Ce bec 2 peut.être supprimé, si l'on interpose entre la ta- blette 10 et le support 1 une matière isolante, du caout- chouc par exemple dont l'élasticité se prête à un effet pneu- matique assurant automatiquement l'adhérence de la tablette sur son support, par simple pression au moment de la pose. On peut utiliser des ventouses de caoutchouc solidaires des sup- ports 1.
Le support peut être constitué par une partie fixe, comme illustré aux figures 1 à 7, ou par une partie fixe la et une partie mobile 1b (figure 8), cette dernière se dépla- @ gant en translation dans la précédente, Cette disposition per- met de modifier, à volonté, la largeur du support. En outre, la partie mobile 1 peut être montée sur la partie la de manière qu'après réglage et fixation de la partie la sur le radiateur, la partie lb soit immobilisée.

Le support peut se fixer, suivant les mêmes prin- cipes, sur des radiateurs de formes complètement différentes, en modifiant simplement la partie en contact avec ce radia- teur.
Ce support peut être situé à une hauteur désirée au-dessus du radiateur, soit par un moulage approprié du support, soit par l'adjonction de hausses métalliques ou autres fixées au support par tous moyens appropriés.
Les tablettes telles que 10, montées sur des sup- ports 1, évitent le noircissement du mur 11 immédiatement au-dessus du radiateur, mais elles n'empêchent pas les traînées latérales.
En vue de remédier à cet inoonvénient, l'invention s'étend à une joue ou écran latéral qui fait corps avec le support 1 ou qui est rapporté sur celui-ci.
Une forme de réalisation d'un écran latéral 20 est plus spécialement représentée à la figure 9. Cet écran 20 est pourvu d'un rabattement supérieur 21 qui est pincé entre les éléments du radiateur et le support. L'arête 22 s'appliquant contre le mur forme une gouttière pour recevoir un feutre.Dans une autre forme de réalisation, le rabattement 21 est fixé par des vis, des rivets ou autres.
L'écran 20 pourrait être fixé directement au radiateur ou au mur ou par l'intermédiaire de supports 24.
Il est évident que les formes de réalisation dé- crites et représentées ne sont données ici qu'à titre indica- tif et non limitatif. Toutes modifications ou variantes qui ne changent rien aux caractéristiques principales exposées plus haut, ni au but poursuivi, restent comprises dans le cadre de la présente invention.

The present invention relates to improvements to the protectors and in particular to the supports of the radiator shelves.
These improvements are mainly characterized by the following points applied separately or in any combination: a) These supports, fixed directly to the radiators, have a flat upper surface, to receive a shelf of any suitable material, these supports for

front edge to hold the shelf properly. b) The front edge can be resiliently mounted on the support where it can be movable relative to the latter;
this rim can take on different shapes, retaining the purpose assigned to it, to hold the shelf and prevent it from slipping. e) Each support is fixed, either by means of springs and a lifting beam, or of elastically deformable lamellae combined with a locking system, or by means of articulated threaded rods, or finally by elements of rubber such as bungee cords. d) Side shields can be combined with the supportsa to form protectors. e) The side screens are formed with the supports or are mounted thereon in a removable manner.

In the embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2, each support 1 comprises, on the one hand, a front edge 2 and, on the other hand, hooks 3 and 4.
The fixing of the support 1 on a radiator, shown in phantom in the drawing, is ensured by two springs 5 and a lifter 6 which is supported on the cylindrical part of communication of the elements of a radiator.
In certain cases, the lifter 6 could include several stepped slots for hooking the springs 5 so as to allow the tension of the latter to be adjusted. One could also for this purpose, use a fixing of the springs as illustrated in FIG. 3 with threaded rods 8 and ears 9 with ears. As illustrated in FIG. 1, the shelf 10, made of any suitable material, is mounted on the supports 1 and it is applied against the wall 11, either directly or by means of a suitable trim.
In a variant, not shown, the springs 5 could be adjusted by the upper part and above the shelf. For this purpose, the elements 3 and 4 could comprise a threaded rod combined with a nut for example.
In the example of FIG. 4, the support 1 is fixed by a collar consisting of an elastically deformable strip 15, the perforated ends of which can be brought together by means of a bolt 16 and a nut. ears 17.
The ends of the strip 15 are curved to facilitate installation on the junction duct 7.
Figures 6 and 7 illustrate another variant in which the lifter 6 is connected to the support 1 by means of threaded rods 18 and nuts 19. There is

note that the rods 18 are articulated at 20 on the support 1, which allows to act by pressure thanks to the flange 2 on the shelf 10 (Figure 1). In a variant, not shown, the upper parts of the rods 18 could be rigidly fixed to the support 1.
Each support could be fixed by rubber elements such as bungee cords, the latter possibly comprising, in certain cases, a protective coating, of asbestos for example.
The edges or spouts 2 of the supports 1 will retain the shelf 10 covering the radiator. Each spout 2 can be obtained by molding, by folding down the material of the tablet or. still it can be reported in any suitable way; it can be in one or more parts, be continuous or divided so as to form one or more reliefs.
This beak 2 can be omitted, if an insulating material, for example rubber, the elasticity of which lends itself to a pneumatic effect automatically ensuring adhesion, is interposed between the plate 10 and the support 1. of the tablet on its support, by simply pressing it during installation. It is possible to use rubber suction cups integral with the supports 1.
The support can be constituted by a fixed part, as illustrated in Figures 1 to 7, or by a fixed part 1a and a movable part 1b (Figure 8), the latter moving in translation in the previous one. - allows you to modify the width of the support at will. The support can be fixed, following the same principles, on radiators of completely different shapes, by simply modifying the part in contact with this radiator.
This support can be located at a desired height above the radiator, either by an appropriate molding of the support, or by the addition of metal or other increases fixed to the support by any suitable means.
The shelves such as 10, mounted on supports 1, prevent blackening of the wall 11 immediately above the radiator, but they do not prevent lateral streaks.
In order to remedy this drawback, the invention extends to a side cheek or screen which is integral with the support 1 or which is attached to the latter.
One embodiment of a side screen 20 is more especially shown in FIG. 9. This screen 20 is provided with an upper folding 21 which is clamped between the elements of the radiator and the support. The ridge 22 resting against the wall forms a gutter for receiving a felt. In another embodiment, the flange 21 is fixed by screws, rivets or the like.
The screen 20 could be fixed directly to the radiator or to the wall or through brackets 24.
It is obvious that the embodiments described and represented are given here only by way of indication and not by way of limitation. Any modifications or variants which do not change the main characteristics described above, nor the aim pursued, remain within the scope of the present invention.
