  BREVET D'INVENTION au nom de
 EMI1.1
R1chard WATERMAN, 71, rue Jean Robie à Bruxelles SYSTEME D'HUMIDIFICATEUR POUR CHAUFFAGE CENTRAL.

PATENT OF INVENTION in the name of
 EMI1.1
R1chard WATERMAN, 71, rue Jean Robie in Brussels HUMIDIFIER SYSTEM FOR CENTRAL HEATING.

The present invention relates to a system intended to remedy the dryness of the air in premises heated by radiators and of which everyone is aware of the numerous drawbacks.

Its object is to cause a more intense evaporation of water than that obtained by the use of the various heterogeneous objects currently employed, such as casseroles and earthenware that are placed on radiators or that are suspended from these. The performance of these accessories is very minimal because they only touch the radiators.

In the present system, on the contrary, the reservoir forms a body with the radiator itself; the water contained therein reaches a temperature close to that of the water circulating in the heating devices.

The system is composed by: 1) A reservoir obtained in the following way: the space comprising

flatly surrounded by a strip of plain or decorated A.B.C.D. forming an outer circular envelope; likewise the openings G of these two radiator elements are closed, so as to form with the A.B.C.D. a waterproof tank E.

  2) An F.

  3) An H.

The present system can be applied to all radiators currently in use. For new radiators to be built, the two elements intended to receive the tank, without the openings G.

    System operation - (see sketch)
Through the port H, water is introduced into the tank E. The opening 2 of the coil serves as an overflow in the event of excess water in the tank. The excess water is drained and collected in some container at the base of coil 9 under the radiator. (For safety and to avoid possible damage to the parquet floors, one can install a tap ± at port 1 of coil F.)
When the radiator is in operation, the water contained in the tank F is thus heated by its direct contact with the elements of the radiator and its temperature reaches a degree equivalent to that of the water circulating in the radiator.

The air sucked in through the lower orifice 1 of the coil F passes through the latter and arrives in the upper part of the tank, 3 from where, loaded with water vapor, it escapes into the atmosphere through the opening H .

The more the radiator heats up, the more water in tank E vaporizes and the air becomes humid, therefore, in the same

my proportions. according to needs, it is allowed to use one or more tanks per radiator. For aesthetics, the reservoir will preferably be placed in the middle of the radiator; in the event that several were installed, they would be arranged symmetrically.

It is also possible, if desired, to include several radiator elements in one and the same tank.

The drawings appended to this memory represent schematically and by way of example only one embodiment of the system according to the invention,
Fig. 1 shows an exterior (front) view of the tank.

Fig. 2 is an interior (side) view of the tank and shows the air coil, saturation chamber and humidified air exhaust port.

   CLAIMS.
