<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

"Waste treatment method".
The present invention relates to a method for the rational treatment of household, agricultural, industrial, etc. waste.
In general, the examination of slush allows us to divide their constituents into two essential categories, the first of which comprises mineral matter and the second organic matter.
For each category, certain elements are always present, including in particular pottery waste in mineral constituents, vegetable waste in organic constituents, etc., while other elements are characteristic of certain countries or countries. some regions .
However, this difference in the nature of the elements encountered or in their proportion can in no way modify the effectiveness of a rational treatment process.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The present invention relates to such a treatment process, which is characterized essentially by a systematic destruction of any harmfulness and by the fact that all the usable elements are recovered economically. In addition, the problem of garbage dumping and the considerable cost of this process are eliminated.
The method according to the invention substantially comprises three distinct groups of operations. know :
1 Purely mechanical operations, such as screening, crushing, sorting, handling, etc.
2 Thermal operations, such as sterilization, drying, condensation, gasification, etc.
3 Chemical operations, such as dissociation, hydrolysis, distillation, acidification, etc.
According to one embodiment of the method, the complete treatment of the refuse can be understood as follows: in principle, after having received the slushes in an appropriate silo. treated, they are introduced mechanically into 1, the installation to undergo an initial sieving the purpose of which is to separate the small. ^. and large fragments.
The first are sent to a sterilizer dryer, for example a rotary dryer, while the second passes through a sterilization oven with aprons.
On leaving the dryers, the products are crushed, sieved and stored to serve as a basis for the manufacture of a complete ink.
As for the large fragments, when they leave the oven, they are sorted and classified into various categories, such as vegetables and plant materials, paper, rags, leather, bones, glasses, bottles, metals, metal boxes, etc.
Vegetables and plant matter are treated in digesters with alkalis, such as, for example, bisulphite of
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
sodium or caustic soda and steam under pressure, for dissociation into cellulose and lignin. The other sorted materials are either stored or sent to special workshops.
Cellulose is transformed by sulfuric acid in a heated autoclave, fermentable carbohydrate, which is then distilled to obtain alcohol and acetic acid and, as residues, substances intended for enrichment. chir the base of fertilizers.
The lignin gasified at the plant feeds a gasifier and is thus used to heat various devices.
The steams and vapors from the dryer and the oven are collected to possibly contribute, in the form of gas to the water, to the central heating.
The non-condensable gases, resulting from the distillation of carbon hydrates, are returned to a heated chamber to mix with the lignin gases.
All the burnt gases are washed, purified, transformed, to finally obtain the carbon dioxide which is collected.
The calorific needs of the treatment are therefore satisfied by the treated material itself by judicious use of the lignin produced initially as well as by reusing the waste gases which run through a compost cycle:.
Special workshops may or may not be scheduled to proceed. crushing bones and their degelatinization for incorporation into fertilizers; the spraying of leathers for the same purpose; the transformation of metals into chemical salts by treatment with acids; making slabs or breeze blocks with stones, bricks, bottom ash, etc.

and, in general, to all suitable treatments for any product of the sorting
Thus, we will have carried out a process of handling garbage of any kind with the triple condition of hygiene, elimination of the transport and dumping of garbage, and, finally, the recovery of all merchantable materials and / or usable.
It is understood that the various phases of the process described above can be used independently of one of the two or in combination with other known phases or processes.
It should be noted that one of the original characteristics of the invention consists in the use of the combustible gases extracted from the garbage itself for the heat supply of the installation.
CLAIMS.
