<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

-PROFECTIONING TO RAKES "
The present invention relates to fan-shaped rakes with a straight front. According to the invention, the rake is provided with fixed or movable teeth held in the head of the rake, which consists of a sheet metal part. have exactly the same length and shape; they have suitable means of attachment to the rear face of the head. with the exception of two or more on each side of the axis, they are placed symmetrically with respect to said axis and converge on it towards the rear, so that their points are on a straight line and equidistant between them. from each other.
The rear part of the teeth is curved and placed against the rear and upper face of the head of the rake in notches made on said face. The side surfaces of the notches form slides for the rear part of the teeth, thus preventing their rotation; the end is provided with a hook which engages in a hole in the upper face of the head, while the tooth

is held in place, on the other hand, by holes drilled in the front part, recurved downwards, and notches in the rear part of the rake.
In the accompanying drawings:
Fig. I is a plan view of the rake.
Fig.2 is a plan view, on a larger scale, of the rake head.
Fig.3 is a section on A-B of Fig.2.
Fig.4 is a section along C-D of fig.2.
By referring more particularly to the drawing ,! is a sheet metal part forming the head of the rake, to which the handle must be able to be adapted. The edges are curved downwards and well rounded on the rear face The front part of the teeth 2 is curved along 3, the rear also but in the opposite direction, the end ends with a hook 5 intended to be snapped into a hole 6 of the upper face of the rake head. The rear part of the tines is placed in notches 7 of the rear face of the rake. head and grooves 8 of the rear and upper face of the head, which grooves firmly hold the ends of the tooth and oppose any lateral displacement.
The holes 6 and the notches 7 serve to fix the teeth. The holes are drilled along the lines IO which, symmetrical with respect to the axis of the part I, converge on the axis. The straight part 2 of the teeth passes through holes II located in the curved front face of the head. The holes II may be drilled in such a way that they allow lateral flexibility.
It follows that for each tooth to be mounted on the rake head there is provided a hole II, a notch 7, a groove 8 and a hole 6 on the upper face of the head.
Due to the particular shape of the head of the rake, the method of fixing the handle is provided on the head itself. For this purpose a device is provided on the head, obtained by stamping.

any other way. For this purpose, ribs 12 are made on each side of the axle on the front and rear ends of the rake head, and these ribs surround approximately half of the lower part of the handle. central has the shape of an annular sleeve 13, which surrounds the upper part of the handle.
This is fixed by one or more bolts or screws 14.
Modifications in the form, in the proportions, in the details of construction can be made to the device which is the object of the invention without diminishing its advantages.
