Mémoire descriptif à l'appui d'une demande de brevet d'invention relatif à un PIVOT DE CISAILLES A ROULEMENT A BILLES,
Le présent brevet a pour objet un pivot de cisailles à roulement à billes,maintenant constante l'entablure de toute espèce de cisailles, pinces ... etc, et facilitant le jeu des deux planes l'une sur l'autre.Il est avéré en effet,que les faces internes des lames de cisailles lorsque celles-ci sont complè- tement fermées,ne sont pas en contact sur toute leur longueur, car chacune offre une concavité intérieure.Dans le cas de cisailles du type ordinaire, les deux branches sont maintenues l'une contre l'autre par l'intermédiaire d'un boulon,faisant office de pivot.L'écrou de serrage sert à régler le jeu des deux lames.
Apres un certain usage, cet éorou marque une tendance,soit à se resserrer,soit ce qui est plus grave, à se desserrer,ce qui nuit grandement au bon fonctionnement de l'outil.
La présente invention écarte radicalement ces inconvénients par l'adoption d'un roulement à billes.-A cet effet, et conséquemment à titre explicatif et non limitatif,le dessin ci-joint annexé représente en coupe la disposition adoptée.

La lettre A désigne le corps de la tige-pivot portant une embase oarrée,de façon à la rendre solidaire de la branohe I; la lettre Q figure l'écrou de serrage.Comme on le voit,ce der- nier affecte la forme de cuvette pour recevoir le jeu de billes;B; la lettre montre le contre-écrou servant à immobiliser l'écrou précédemment désigné par C; -enfin, la lettre E représente un capuchon qui se visse sur la partie extérieure filetée de l'éorou B,et protège le roule- ment contre l'encrassement extérieur.
Le système préconisé ci-dessus convient particulièrement aux ciailles de cultivateur destinées .au rognage des haies, ainsi qu'à l'élagage des bordures.Son emploi peut cependant se généraliser pour toute espèce de pinces,tenailles,oiseaux...etc. et notamment pour tous appareils à pivot.La rotation s'effectue donc par l'intermédiaire des billes, et le frottement nuisible est par le fait considérablement diminué.-Tout en maintenant le jeu indéréglable,ce système assure une rotation parfaite des parties en mouvement et réalise de la sorte un pivotement parfait.

The letter A designates the body of the pivot rod carrying an oarrée base, so as to make it integral with the branohe I; the letter Q stands for the tightening nut. As we can see, the latter has the shape of a cup to receive the set of balls; B; the letter shows the lock nut used to immobilize the nut previously designated by C; -finally, the letter E represents a cap which is screwed onto the external threaded part of the ou B, and protects the bearing against external contamination.
The system recommended above is particularly suitable for cultivators intended for trimming hedges, as well as for pruning edges. Its use can however be generalized for all kinds of pliers, pincers, birds, etc. and especially for all pivot devices.The rotation is therefore carried out by means of the balls, and the harmful friction is considerably reduced.-While maintaining the foolproof play, this system ensures perfect rotation of the moving parts and thus achieves perfect pivoting.
