Cette invention a pour objet un meuble étudié pour s' ouvrir et se fermer et destiné à porter, montés dedans, les organes d'une machine à coudre, le tout étant dispose de telle sorte que, quand le meuble est ouvert, la machine peut être utilisée poar remplir ses fonctions propres et que, quand il est formé, les organes de la machine y sont rangés on logés et dissimules à la vue, l'ensemble se présentant sous la forme

d'un coffre complètement clos.

La figure 1 est une vue en perspective du meuble à l' état fermé.
La figure 2 est une autre vue en perspective du meuble, la porte avant étant ouverte et la tête de la machine *baiesée.
Les figures 3 et 4 sont deux autres vues en perspective da meuble ouvert, la tête de la machine étant disposée pour fonctionner.
Le meuble représenté se compose d'un corps fixe creux 1 pourvu d'une large échancrure oa ressaut 2 dans lequel peut s'emboîter par pivotement âne tablette 3 formant couvercle solidaire d'une porte 4 pouvant tourner grâce à des charniè- res ou gonds 5 et 6, de telle sorte quelle peut être ouverte ou rabattue contre la paroi extérieure latérale 7 du corps 1 du meuble, tandis que la tablette 3 demeure au niveau de sa face supérieure 8.
A la partie intérieure de la tablette-couvercle 3 est monté un tiroir 9. La porte 4 est munie également d'un tiroir on récipient 10.
A l'intérieur du meuble est disposée une pièce prismatique 11 sous laquelle est assujettie la tête 12 de la machine à cendre au moyen d'axes,tels que 16,qui permettent à cette tête de pouvoir tourner de manière à s'élever pour venir se placer debout aar le meuble en position de fonctionnement ou s'abaisser pour venir se loger dans le meuble en position ho- rizontale.
Quand la tête de la machine est levée, elle est immobilisée par un ressort de blocage 14 on un autre verrou approprié (comme le montre la figure 3). quand elle est abaissée et rangée dans le meuble, elle y est maintenue par la fermeture

de oelai-oi (voir la figure 2).
Le volant 15 de la maohine est porté par un axe 16 fixé dans la paroi 17 du meuble. La pédale 18 est montée sur un axe 19 porté par des consoles intérieures 20, 20.
Une tablette pivotante 21 peut être soulevée pour former la plate-forme de travail de la machine et être maintenue dans cette position par un pêne ou loquet 22 ou un autre organe de fixation approprié, au niveau de la face supérieure du meuble, comme le montre la figure 4. quand le meuble doit être fermé, on fait pivoter cette tablette 21 sur ses axes 23 pour l'escamoter dans le meuble et l'y adosser à la paroi 7, comme le montre la figure 2.
La tablette 21 est creusée dtane encoche 24 dans laquelle se loge le pied de la tête 12 de la machine,cest-à-dire la partie qui porte les organes faisant avancer les robes ou autres objets à ooudre. on voit donc que ce meuble peut former un corps totalement fermé lorsqu'on y a abaissé la tête 12 de la machine qui reste en position horizontale (voir la figure 2) après qu'on a fait pivoter, vers le bas, la tablette 21 qui reste adossée, par sa face interne contre la paroi 7 et qu'on a fait tourner sur ses gonds 5 et 6 la porte 4, ce qui a pour effet d'amener la tablette-oouverole 3 en travers de l'échanorue supérieure 2 du meuble pour le fermer de toutes parts. Ce meuble présente alors l'aspect que montre la figure 1.
S'il s'agit de coudre des pièces tabulaires comme par exemple des manches de vêtements, on dispose la machine comme le montre la figure 4, c'est-à-dire avec la tablette 21 abais- sée de manière que le bras inférieur de la tête 12 de la machine reste libre, pour permettre l'introduction des pièces tabulaires en question.

a completely closed safe.

Figure 1 is a perspective view of the cabinet in the closed state.

Figures 3 and 4 are two other perspective views da cabinet open, the machine head being arranged to operate.
The piece of furniture shown consists of a hollow fixed body 1 provided with a wide notch oa projection 2 in which can be fitted by pivoting donkey shelf 3 forming a cover integral with a door 4 which can turn by means of hinges or hinges. 5 and 6, so that it can be opened or folded against the lateral outer wall 7 of the body 1 of the furniture, while the shelf 3 remains at the level of its upper face 8.
A drawer 9 is mounted on the inside of the cover-shelf 3. The door 4 is also provided with a container drawer 10.

A pivoting shelf 21 can be lifted to form the working platform of the machine and be held in this position by a bolt or latch 22 or other suitable fastening member, at the level of the upper face of the cabinet, as shown in the illustration. FIG. 4 when the cabinet must be closed, this shelf 21 is rotated on its axes 23 to retract it into the cabinet and lean it against the wall 7, as shown in FIG. 2.
The shelf 21 is hollowed out of the notch 24 in which the foot of the head 12 of the machine is housed, that is to say the part which carries the organs for advancing the dresses or other objects to be ooudre. it can therefore be seen that this piece of furniture can form a completely closed body when the head 12 of the machine has been lowered therein, which remains in a horizontal position (see FIG. 2) after the shelf 21 has been pivoted downwards. which remains leaned, by its internal face against the wall 7 and that the door 4 has been rotated on its hinges 5 and 6, which has the effect of bringing the cover-shelf 3 across the upper opening 2 furniture to close it on all sides. This furniture then has the appearance shown in Figure 1.
If it is a question of sewing tabular pieces such as for example clothing sleeves, the machine is positioned as shown in figure 4, that is to say with the shelf 21 lowered so that the lower arm of the head 12 of the machine remains free, to allow the introduction of the tabular parts in question.
If the machine is to be powered by an electric motor, the flywheel 15 and pedal 18 will be omitted, which become
