Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

     Fig.l est une vue de la surface de marche du revêtement pour semelles, dont

  Rubber coating for soles and shoe heels. the object of the invention is a coating for the soles and heels of shoes capable of giving them a longer service life in that the places of the soles and heels which are particularly subject to wear are resistant thanks to the reliefs that are provided on this coating.

   According to the invention, the rubber coating in question is composed of rectangular pieces arranged in pairs and having reliefs formed of parallel striations and of any shape as walking surfaces, which means that a more suitable cut of these plates is made possible with respect to wear. Therefore, we have the possibility to perform the

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 cuts soles and heels so that the relief is on the desired side both in the longitudinal and transverse direction.

   The coating in question can usefully be done in standardized parts by preferably proceeding so that the line of separation of the parts joined together two by two, which line can be notched, perforated or the like, falls in the middle of the raised parts. adjacent in order to have, for the two soles and the two heels, the same width for the two protruding surfaces.

   Another characteristic of this new rubber coating resides in that its underside presents an internal curvature cintraga developing right through in the longitudinal direction, which means that in its parts most subject to fatigue, the bulk of the inner and outer foot, said coating, having more thickness, wears more evenly and adapts more easily to the soles of the shoes. It is known that the soles of shoes are always more or less curved in the longitudinal direction and that a flat rubber sole could only be attached to them with difficulty. Thanks to the aforementioned internal bending, the rubber sole can be applied easily and hermetically to the sole of the shoe.

   In addition, the face of the rubber coating on which one walks remains flat and, as the foot presses on this entire surface, one is effectively protected against any slipping.

   It is also possible to make the rubber covering in the form of a band of any length, width and thickness, which bands can be either cut, molded or stretched in a suitable manner. The rubber band has over part of its width a reinforced thickness which, to prevent slipping, will form the protruding part at the place of the step and may be provided with grooves.

   An embodiment of the new rubber coating for shoe soles and heels is shown by way of example in the accompanying drawing.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

     Fig. 1 is a view of the walking surface of the sole covering, of which
Fig.2 is a cross section. fig.3 shows an aspiratory cover plate, while fig.4 & 5 are respectively an external view and a cross section of the same heel covering. fig.6 7 show the arrangement of the stripes of rubber coverings in the form of bands.

   In these figures, a denotes the rectangular pieces joined together in pairs and b the raised tread surface with longitudinal parallel ribs, which can have any desired shape. The dotted or interrupted lines a and d, which show the projection in plan of two soles, show how the cut can be made. The groove e allows easy separation of the two parts a. The rubber plate has, at its dorsal face, a recess formed, as shown in FIG. 3, by the suction cover plate f and which extends right through in the longitudinal direction of the sole.

   Fig. 4 shows a pair of rubber heels, the middle part of which has been given, like the pairs of soles, a reinforcement of thickness b. If we make the separation along the groove e, we obtain, just as for the soles, parts 1, 2 and 3 which can be applied as desired on the heels of shoes so that the walking surface b with reliefs comes to be placed on the heel towards the outer part or towards the inside of this one or on the rear part of the same, each part being able also to be used for several sizes of heels.

   Part b of the bands shown in fig.6 and 7 form the reliefs. The heel profiles which are traced there show the possibility of adapting the thickest part of the covering to any desired location of said heels.
