<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Afin de bien faire comprendre l'invention, on va en décrire ci-après un mode de réalisation pris à titre d'ex- emple aucunement limitatif, et représenté aux dessins annexés dans lesquels: la fig. l est une vue perspective d'ensemble de l'appareil ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

Shooting skill game.
The object of the present invention is a game of shooting skill which can also be arranged as an apparatus for distributing bonuses, the output of the latter being placed under the sole dependence of the skill of the shooter who can himself bring the chosen bonus or the bonus. 'retaining member of it in the shooting range by means of a remote control-
The apparatus is essentially constituted by a piece of furniture, the glazed upper part of which contains the target and the objects likely to be won, while the part
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
lower contains the mechanism and constitutes a base in which the premium reserves can possibly be accommodated.
The upper part is completed by the actual firing device, consisting for example of a tube at the end of which is fixed the firing weapon (rifle, pistol or the like) allowing sighting on the target and on the fixing members. bonuses. The latter can be brought successively into the firing range by a command actuated by the shooter. Objects separated from their support by the shooter automatically fall into a distribution chute.
Shooting devices of this type have already been proposed in which, for example, rifles or compressed air pistols loading with lead bullets of a type commonly used were used. As a result, fraud attempts were considerably facilitated since it was not necessary to use the balls distributed by the apparatus itself; the shooter could indeed procure these bullets in the oommeroe and operate the apparatus without having previously introduced the coin representing his participation or the price of the object he wished to obtain.
In order to avoid this fraud, the invention provides for the interposition in the firing range of a shutter whose opening is subject to the introduction of a coin recognized as good by a control device of known type; the shutter is closed automatically after each shot or after each series of shots, depending on the number of balls distributed by the device in exchange for the stake.
The shutter device can be made from any
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
appropriate manner; it can for example consist of a shutter interposing itself in the firing range and stopping the bullets, or even of a device blocking the trigger of the weapon; according to another variant, the material prevention of firing is ensured by blocking the ball joint in which the barrel of the weapon is articulated, this blocking being effected in a position such that the bullets fired in this position cannot reach. the premium suspension bodies
In order to make the invention fully understood, an embodiment thereof will be described below, taken by way of non-limiting example, and shown in the appended drawings in which: FIG. l is an overall perspective view of the apparatus;
the fig 2 is a vertical partial section along 1-tax II-II of FIG. 1; figs. 3 and 4 diagrammatically represent the device for fixing the objects, and FIGS. 5 and 6 are schematic cross sections of two variants of the shutter release device.
As shown in fig. 1, the apparatus consists of a support cabinet 1 surmounted by a showcase 1 'in which the exhibited and winnable objects are located, designated by 4. These objects are suspended by wires 5 from a kind of carousel turntable 3 formed of two horizontal rings 2a-2b connected by uprights 2c arranged along the generatrices of a cylinder with a vertical axis; this assembly can rotate around said axis 2d thanks to an external control which rotates a wheel of
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
friotion 5 in contact with the lower ring 2b and which is operated by means of a button 6 by the shooter.
The sighting tube 7 disposed perpendicular to the vertical axis 2d carries at its other end the weapon 8 constituted by a pistol or by a compressed air rifle, for example, or by a weapon firing reduced fire ammunition.
Sighting takes place through an opening 9 possibly fitted with an optical system. The encounter of the bullet with one of the suspension wires 3 tears this wire, and the object 4 previously brought into the firing range by means of the command 5-6, above the distribution opening 10, therefore falls into the gutter 10 'which continues this opening and is made available to the shooter at 10 ".
The shooting is carried out by means of bullets distributed by the apparatus, after introduction of a token or a coin in the slot 11 followed by the maneuver of the mechanism by a pull tab 12, the bullet (s) being delivered in a gutter 13.
In order to prevent fraudulent use of the device with bullets not coming from the dispenser, the device according to the invention comprises a shutter interposed between the weapon and the target. This shutter designated by 14 (see fig. 2) is formed by a sliding shutter which is lifted by the operation of the pull tab 12 after introduction of the part 11 and is held in its open position of the pin 2 by a latch 15 integral with a tilting flap 16, to which is also fixed the target 17 articulated on a support 17 'and subjected to the action of a spring 17a. The shutter being raised and the weapon loaded, we proceed to fire after bringing the suspension member 3
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
of the premium 4 chosen in the shooting range.
The impaot of the hall on the target 17 rotates the latter backwards, thereby releasing the latch 15 of the shutter 14, which resumes its closed position in front of the mouth of the tube 7. To be able to shoot again , it is necessary that the shooter, after having operated the distributor and raised the shutter 14 by means of the cable 18 integral with the pull-tab 12, again clears the shooting range. We can therefore see that the firing range is closed after each ooup. Before hitting the target 17, the bullet can cut the wire 3 from which the object 4 is suspended, which therefore falls into the gutter 10 provided with an anti-fraud flap 19 of known type. The shutter 14 is triggered in all cases, whether the ball has cut a thread 3 or not.
The device of FIG. 3 shows a following variant in which the wires, instead of appearing between the upper 2a and lower 2b rings of the carousel, are individually engaged in steel tubes 21 pierced with an orifice 24 at the height of the axis of the tube. 7. The diameter of these orifices is a little larger than that of the bullet. If the aiming has been carried out correctly, the bullet therefore enters the tube 21 and cuts the wire stretched axially therein.
According to another variant shown in FIG. 4, the oarrousel consists of a sheet metal cylinder 20 on the outer face of which the wires 3 are applied.
In order to lengthen the firing range and hence the difficulty, the target can be placed behind the target instead of being placed in front of it. In this case it is obviously necessary that the number of son 3 is odd
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
to release the firing range between two successive son adjacent to the outlet of the tube 7, and allow the aiming and the passage of the àalle in the direction of the wire located closest to the bottom of the display case.
The target is in this case fixed on the bottom of the showcase and the shooting range is lengthened by the depth of said showcase., The control of the shutter by the latch 15 is lengthened by a corresponding amount and arranged in so as to cause the triggering of this shutter during the pivoting of the target 17 under the influence of the bullet. Instead of directly programming the cut of the thread 3, the impact of the ball can also, as shown in fig. 5, cause this cut by means of a cutting member 22 fixed on the block which constitutes the target itself and which is supported in the axis of the tube 7 by springs 23. The impact of the bullet on the block 22 'causes the latter to move in the direction of the wire 3, which is cut by the knife 22.
If necessary, an auxiliary target such as 23a (fig. 6) can be placed in front of the target proper, the central orifice of the plate 23a situated in the axis of the sighting tube 7 making it possible to delimit with more precision the targets. movements to be communicated to the carousel in order to bring the wire 3 supporting the chosen object in the path.
Finally, according to another variant not shown, the fixing of the objects is effected not by means of wires, but by means of trigger clips, the release device of which, of sufficient sensitivity, is aotionned by the bullet or directly or through an appropriate mechanism.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
It goes without saying that the device as described can undergo numerous modifications and alterations without departing from the spirit or the scope of the invention.
The commands can in particular be provided by electromagnetic devices acting both on the opening of the shutter and on its triggering caused by the meeting of the moving target with a fixed contact.
It would also be possible to provide an immaterial shutter consisting of a switch switching off the lighting of the display case after each shot. The shutter control device may be combined with a ratchet mechanism or the like, to enable several bullets to be fired in succession, the shutter only closing after the last bullet in a series; its triggering is then controlled by this ratchet mechanism. It could also be envisioned to rotate the carousel during firing to increase the difficulty.
CLAIMS.
