<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Dans le sélecteur à contacts 1 du dispositif récepteur de la fig. l, le bras de contact 2 est réuni à un contact de repos 3 d'un relais à contact 4 ; le contact d'origine 5 est relié d'une part, par l'intermédiaire d'un contact 8 de remise au zéro, à un conducteur A du réseau, et d'autre part, par l'intermédiaire d'un enroulement d'exci- tation 6 d'un moteur synchrone 7, à un conducteur B du réseau ; les contacts 9 à 11 sont réunis à l'enroulement 12 et à un contact de retenue 13 du relais à contact 4;

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

"Receiving device connected to an alternating current network @ intended for carrying out operations in a remote control installation"
The present invention relates to a receiving device connected to a current network. alternative and intended for 4 Non-execution of operations, in a remote control installation where the choice of the various operations is determined by the time which elapses between two interruptions of the alternating current network.
The invention is characterized by the fact that a contact arm of a contact selector is actuated, after the first interruption, by a drive mechanism running at constant speed and executing a well-determined movement, this arm being maintained without voltage IL starting from a determined instant of the chosen duration, by a contact relay excited by the network voltage and receiving voltage after the second interruption.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The contact selector can be connected, by its contact arm and by the intermediary of a rest contact of the contact relay, with one of the network conductors, and the device to be controlled can be connected at least. on a selection contact belonging to the contact relay and corresponding to the subordinate duration between two interruptions. As the drive mechanism, it is possible to employ, for example, a synchronous motor which is controlled by a reset contact subjected to the influence of the contact selector.
The arrangement and the arrangement of the contact relay can be such that the winding of the contact relay is connected on the one hand with one of the conductors of the network, and on the other hand, through its operating contact. , with the other network conductor, and, each time, with that of the selection contacts of the contact selector, which is located in front of a selection contact connected to the device to be controlled. Or, for this contact relay, we will use a relay with delay 1 attraction, the winding of which is connected directly to the network.
In the drawing, FIGS. 1 and 2 show two embodiments of the invention, in which a synchronous motor is employed as the drive mechanism.
In the contact selector 1 of the receiving device of fig. 1, the contact arm 2 is joined to a break contact 3 of a contact relay 4; the original contact 5 is connected on the one hand, by means of a reset contact 8, to a conductor A of the network, and on the other hand, by means of a winding of excitation 6 of a synchronous motor 7, to a conductor B of the network; the contacts 9 to 11 are joined to the winding 12 and to a retaining contact 13 of the contact relay 4;
and the contacts 14,15 are each connected by the intermediary of a winding 16,17 of a toggle relay

18, with conductor B of. network, An oscillating contact 19 belonging to the relay contact 4, cooperating with the retaining contact 13 and the rest contact 3 and subject to the influence of the winding 12, is connected with the conductor A of the network. The toggle relay 18 controls a switching contact 24 which cooperates with

contacts 22, 2.
In the assembly shown in Figure 1 it must be assumed that the network A, B is interrupted. The syn- motor

chrone 7, and, consequently, the contact selector 1, are then at rest. When the network is closed. &, 8, circuit A, 19, 3,2,516, B receives current.
The synchronous motor 7, activated in this way, turns the contact arm 2 of the contact selector 1.
Shortly after starting the synchronous motor 7, the reset contact 8 is closed, so that the power supply

of the winding 6 of the synchronous motor '7 is now made via this contact. As soon as the arm of 1 contact 2 arrives on contact 9, relay contact 4: is excised by means of circuit A, 19, 3, 2, 9, 12, B. Its oscillating contact 19 therefore deviates from con

repôs tact 5 and is joined to the restraint contact 13.
As a result, there is first formed a circuit of restraining current A? in, 13, 12 'B for relay contact 4, so that it remains, eg 01té, eg when the arm of, contact 2 has slipped from contact 9..Secondly, contact arm 2 is then devoid of tension.
EMI3.5
As soon as the arm of oonta.ov 2 arrives on contact 14, there is a brief interruption of network A, B, causing

only by the issuer. : The relay b contact 4 is therefore de-energized, so that the oscillating contact 19 falls and
EMI3.7
touches contact 3. After closing the network, B, contact arm 2 of the contact motor 1, re

once again tense. Since this arm is still on contact 14, winding 16 of toggle relay: 18 is energized. The switching contact 24 is consequently moved away from the contact 23 and connected to the contact 22.
Under these conditions, the conductor connected to the switching contact 24 is joined to the conductor connected to the contact 22.
As a result of this actuation of the switching relay 18, it is possible, for example, to cause the switching of the counter mechanism of a 4 tariff meter from the higher tariff to the lower tariff.
Contact relay 4 is energized again when contact arm 2 of contact selector 1 reaches contact 10, swinging contact 19 is then attracted, so that contact arm 2 is again voltage-free . Under these conditions, given that no interruption of the network A, B then occurs, the winding 17 of the toggle relay 18 is not energized when the contact arm 2; arrives on contact 15. When the contact arm 2 reaches the zero position, the reset contact 8. is open again. Under these conditions, the synchronous motor 7 stops again. Since the network remains closed, the contact relay 4 continues to maintain the oscillating contact 19 on the restraint contact 13.
At the next interruption, caused from the transmitter, the oscillating contact 19 will fall from the retaining contact 13 and will again come to rest on the contact 3. After this first interruption, the synchronous motor 7 will therefore be energized and the contact 8 reset closed. The contact arm 2-, then rotated by the synchronous motor 7, will finally reach the contact 9, so that the relay 4 will be energized, and
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
will remain energized due to the closing of the restraint contact 13 The contact arm 2: is then again devoid of voltage.
If the second brief interruption of network A, B occurs when contact arm 2 meets contact 15, contact relay 4 is again. de-energized ', so that the oscillating contact 19 comes into contact with the closed contact 3. When the mains voltage comes on again, the winding 17 of the toggle relay 18 is energized. the switching relay 24 of the toggle relay 18 is then brought to the contact 23. The counter mechanism of the tariff meter is then switched from the lower tariff to the higher tariff.
As soon as the contact arm 2 Trient touches the contact 11, the contact relay 4 is energized again .. 11 then remains energized until the next interruption of the network A, B and the arm. contact 2 remains voltage-free. In the zero position, the contact arm 2 of the contact selector 1 comes to rest, as a result of the interruption of the reset contact 8 and as a result of the stopping, which then occurs, @ to the synchronous motor 7.
After restoration of the network voltage, the fortuitous interruptions of the network A, B have no consequence other than an idle rotation of the contact arm 2. If there is for example an interruption of the network A, B , the contact arm 8 is rotated after the consecutive closing. But as soon as this arm arrives on contact 9, relay 4, which was de-energized during the interruption, is energized again and consequently contact arm 2 passes to be energized.
When the contact arm 2 slides on the contacts 14, 15 therefore no excitation of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
windings 16, 17 of the toggle relay 18. It would be necessary that precisely at these instants, there intervenes in the network A, B a new interruption of a duration equal to the chosen interruption or less than it.
But this is not admissible. In order to obtain an extraordinarily high operational safety, it is also possible to arrange the device according to a combination selection system.
The embodiment of figure 2 corresponds essentially to the installation of figure 1. Only here, instead of the contact relay having an automatic restraining contact, a delay contact relay 11 is used. 'attraction. When using a relay of this kind, it is possible to dispense with connecting contacts 9 to 11 of selector switch 1 with coil 12, and it is also possible to omit a contact 13 of relay with contacts 4 ( figl). In such a case, it is possible to arrange the remote control installation for a greater number of operations to be controlled remotely than if 1, the reception devices according to figure 1 are used.
The winding 12 of the contact relay 4 is mounted here directly between the two conductors A, B of the network.
When the mains voltage intervenes after an interruption, the oscillating contact 19 of the relay with contact 4 does not immediately deviate from the contact 3, but only after a time which ensures in complete safety a starting of the synchronous motor 7 and a closing of the reset contact 8. It is not necessary to dwell further on the remainder of the operation of the device of FIG. 2, since this operation essentially corresponds. that of saying -

The receiving device is of course not

usable only FOR remote control of the neaanisoeef meter $ of electricity meters at tariffs, or the conjunction of the disjunction of lighting networks, as well as the synchronization of clocks, but also to control all other kinds of operations.
