Fig. 2 en est une vue en bout, et

Keyhole entry.
The present invention relates to ornamental keyholes which cover the entire part of the door between the door knob and the keyhole, and the length of which therefore depends on the distance between the axis of the knob and the keyhole. . This spacing being variable according to the models of locks, one manufactured until now the keyholes in as many dimensions as there are models of locks, which complicated the assortment. The object of the invention is to provide a keyhole which can adapt to any door lock, regardless of the distance between the button and the keyhole.
For this purpose, the keyhole according to the invention, instead of being made in a single piece pierced with spacing

fixed with a hole for the axis of the button and a keyhole, consists of two or more parts arranged so that the spacing between the holes is adjustable or modifiable to adapt it to that of any what a current model lock.
The appended drawing shows by way of example one embodiment of the invention.
Fig. l is a front view of the length-adjustable keyhole,
Fig. 2 is an end view, and
Fig. 3 a longitudinal section through the line III-III of Fig.l.
In this example, the adjustable keyhole consists of a rose 1 with central hole 2 for the axis of the door knob, and a blade 3 pierced with a keyhole 4.
The blade 3 is engaged, at its end opposite the hole 4, in a notch 5 of the rim of the rosette 1, so that the rosette masks the end of the blade and that no break in continuity appears between the two pieces.
To adapt the spacing of holes 2 and 4 to that of the corresponding parts of a door lock on which you want to place the adjustable keyhole, it suffices to push the blade 3 more or less into the rosette 1. Optionally , the end of the blade engaged in the rosette can be indented as indicated by the dotted line 6 (Fig.l) in order to embrace the axis of the door knob when the adjustment requires the blade to be fully inserted into the rosette, or one can easily cut the end of the blade if it abuts against the axis. After adjustment, the two parts are fixed in the chosen position, using screws or nails driven into the door through the holes provided for this purpose in the rosette.

and the blade.
Of course, instead of being narrow as in the example shown in the drawing, the blade can have any desired width, going up to equal that of the rosette, for example. Likewise, the rosette is not necessarily of circular or similar shape, but can also be polygonal, for example square or rectangular. Where appropriate, the blade can be in two parts, one of which forms an integral part of the rosette and the other sliding in the first, for example, or the keyhole can include two rosettes connected by a blade or all another combination of parts arranged to allow the adjustment forming the subject of the invention.
