" Couvercle et siège de W.C. ".
.La présente invention concerne un couvercle avec siège pour W.C., réalisé en matière plastique moulée, genre bakélite, et possédant des dispositifs de butée pour l'appui du siège sur le pot du W.C. proprement dit, fixés d'une façon spéciale sur le siège, auquel le couvercle est attaché au moyen de charnières, dont les pivots ont une forme spéciale et nouvelle.
Le but de cette Invention est de réaliser un siège de W.C., simple en ce qui concerne la construction, et offrant

toutes les garanties hygiéniques.
Pour obtenir cette construction simple, le constructeur a fait usage de matériaux pouvant être moulés, et notamment des matériaux plastiques, genre bakélite. En nervurant le siège, on obtient un produit ayant une résistance suffisante. La simplicité de construction est aussi obtenue par une simplifica- tion dans les pivots des charnières, qui ont une configuration similaire à celle des modèles courants, avec cette différence cependant que les pivots des charnières sont constitués de simples tiges en acier ou autre matière appropriée, tenues en place d'une part par un fond dans la partie des charnières, solidaire du couvercle et d'autre part par une vis, fixée dans l' ouverture taraudée, ménagée dans la partie de la charnière solidaire du siège.
Le constructeur a encore apporté une simplification par rapport aux modèles existants, en fixant d'une façon spéciale, les coussins d'appui ou de butée, évitant le contact direct entre le siège et le pot du W.C. proprement dit, cette simplification est obtenue en fixant ces coussins d'appui, qui sont constitués de plaques de caoutchouc munies de tenons à collets, dans un bossage de forme appropriée, réalisé d'une seule opération au moyen d'un outil spécial.
L'invention sera décrite ci-après avec référence aux dessins annexés.
La figure 1 donne une vue générale de l'appareil.
La figure 2 donne une coupe longitudinale selon A - B - C, montrant le nervurage du siège et de la plaque de fixation.
La figure 3 donne une coupe partielle montrant le dispositif de fixation des ooussins d'appui.
La figure 4 donne également une coupe partielle de la construction des charnières.

avec cette différence que les épaisseurs de matière sont beau- coup moindres, et de ce fait le siège doit être nervuré, comme le montre la coupe longitudinale, afin d'obtenir une résistan- ce suffisante.
Le siège repose sur le pot du W.C. par l'intermédiaire de quatre coussins d'appui, en caoutchouc, dont la figure 3 montre la fixation sur le siège. Dans ce but le siège est muni d'un renforcement 1, dans lequel sont prévus les forages 2, 3 et 4. De ces forages, les ouvertures 2 et 4 ont seulement pour @ but d'économiser de la matière, tandis que le bossage 3 sert de logement pour le tenon 7 du coussin 6.
A cet effet le bossage 3, dont l'ouverture est ahanfrei- néa, est rétréci vers le haut, jusqu'à un diamètre égal à ce- lui du tenon 7 du coussin 6, pendant que la partie inférieure du bossage est alésée, au moyen d'un outil spécial, à un dia- mètre sensiblement égal au diamètre du collet 5 du coussin 6.
De cette façon en enfonçant le tenon 7 à collets dans le bos- sage 3, le coussin est fixé d'une façon solide sur le siège, les rebords 8 du renforcement 1, tenant le coussin 6 toujours dans la même position. Ce mode de fixation peut être aussi employé,. dans d'autres cas que celui de l'exemple présent, le coussin peut par exemple servir comme pièce de butée pour por- tes, attaché aux murs etc...
En ce qui concerne la constitution des charnières, aussi bien ceux reliant le couvercle et la plaque de fixation que ceux reliant le siège à la plaque de fixation, dans les deux cas les charnières comportent deux coussinets femelles 9 et 10, solidaires respeotivement du siège et de la plaque de fixation, ou du couvercle et de la plaque de fixation, réunis par un pivot 11. Ce pivot est maintenu en place dans les alèsages, ménagés dans les deux coussinets, par le fait qu'il appuie d' un oôté contre le fond d' un des forages, prévus dans les cous- sinets femelles 9 et 10, et de l'autre côté contre une vis 12,

placée dans la partie taraudée du forage d'un des deux coussinets femelles.
Par cette forme de réalisation le construc- teur obtient une grande simplification dans la confection des pivots qui, au lieu d'être travaillés entièrement sur une machine-outil, c'est-à-dire la partie filetée et la partie lisse, comme c'était le cas autrefois quand le pivot et la vis étaient d'une seule pièce, sont maintenant constitués de deux pièces distinotes dont seulement une, c'est-à-dire la vis, doit être travaillée sur la machine-outil, tandis que l'autre, notamment le pivot peut être constitué d'une simple tige cylindrique en acier étiré, ce qui représente une économie sur le prix de revient total de la charnière.
Il doit être remarqué que la description préoédente n'est pas limitative, et est seulement donnée comme modèle d'exécution à titre explicatif.
REVENDICATIONS.
1.) Couvercle et siège pour W.C. selon la forme et oonfiguration usuelle, caractérisé par le fait que les parties distinctes constituant le siège, le couvercle et la plaque de fixation, sont formées par des pièces en matière plastique moulée, genre bakélite et qu'elles sont nervurées intérieurement afin de présenter une résistance suffisante.

To obtain this simple construction, the manufacturer made use of materials which can be molded, and in particular plastic materials, such as bakelite. By ribbing the seat, a product with sufficient strength is obtained. The simplicity of construction is also obtained by a simplification in the pivots of the hinges, which have a configuration similar to that of the current models, with the difference however that the pivots of the hinges are made of simple rods of steel or other suitable material, held in place on the one hand by a bottom in the part of the hinges, integral with the cover and on the other hand by a screw, fixed in the threaded opening, formed in the part of the hinge integral with the seat.
The manufacturer has further simplified compared to the existing models, by fixing in a special way, the support or stop cushions, avoiding direct contact between the seat and the toilet pot itself, this simplification is obtained by fixing these support cushions, which are made of rubber plates fitted with collared tenons, in a boss of suitable shape, carried out in a single operation by means of a special tool.

The seat rests on the toilet pot by means of four support cushions, in rubber, of which figure 3 shows the attachment to the seat. With regard to the constitution of the hinges, both those connecting the cover and the fixing plate and those connecting the seat to the fixing plate, in both cases the hinges have two female pads 9 and 10, respectively secured to the seat and of the fixing plate, or of the cover and of the fixing plate, joined together by a pivot 11.
