<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Sheet metal billboard.
The present invention relates to a sheet metal advertising panel and more particularly to enamelled panels of this type.
Known billboards of this kind usually have four holes in the four corners of the sign which is generally rectangular or square. These holes are intended to receive fixing screws. It has also been proposed to use stamped sheet metal panels in which the corners or tabs resulting from the stamping are kept and these tabs or corners are pierced with an orifice intended to receive fixing screws. In this way, it is possible to avoid breaking the enamel of the panel itself, which is the case during dunplacement of the panel, as a result of the hammer blows which are inevitably given partly next to the nails.
However, all the known devices do not prevent the nails or fixing screws from rusting over time, as a result of their exposure to bad weather, with the result that streaks of rust appear on the billboard.
In addition, with the known devices, all the fixing means are visible 'and it is not always possible to arrange the nails between two bricks when these panels are fixed to a wall.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
According to the present invention, provision is made to remedy these drawbacks and, to this end, the sheet metal constituting the panel is stamped and the upper corners conform in the form of pockets for receiving and hanging from fixed supports to the wall or to the wall. wall intended to receive the panel.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, these pockets are produced by fixing, for example by welding, a tab parallel to the plane of the panel and extending between two adjacent sides and at right angles perpendicular to the flat face of the panel. sign . Los pockets thus produced are, preferably, / intended for hanging on supports e shape of rocaces, fixed to the wall to receive the billboard.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description of the appended drawings which represent, by way of explanation and not by way of limitation, one embodiment of the invention.
Figure I schematically shows the front of a billboard according to the invention, spokes. in place against a vertical wall, for example, a brick wall. Figure 2 shows in perspective and seen @ from the back, an upper corner of said panel and the method of attachment affecting this corner,
FIG. 3 represents in perspective and half-section, on a larger scale, the fixing member of the aforesaid corner of the panel.
The corresponding elements are designated in the various figures by the same reference numerals.
The panel shown in FIG. I comprises edges obtained by stamping and extending at 2 towards the rear perpendicular to the plane of the panel, that is to say, perpendicular to the plane of the drawing, as visible in FIG. 2.
The upper corners of the panel are shaped in the form of pockets and these pockets are made by welding a tab ±, substantially parallel to the plane of the panel and extending behind the panel between soft adjacent sides of the panel at right angles and perpendicular to the flat face of the panel. The pockets thus produced are hung or suspended on supports 4 in the form of rosettes fixed in the vertical wall intended to receive the panel, for example by means of screws.
It is understood that, by this means, the method of fixing the upper corners of the panel is absolutely invisible and that no rusting trace from this method of fixing can come to soil the enamelled face of the panel. Plus the distance between the two rosettes! , maybe slightly modified so as to

allow the fixing screws to be placed between two bricks, which is not the case with panels provided with holes.
Below the panel, a small tab 6 is provided, intended to be applied by a screw or a nail against the wall supporting the panel, so as to avoid any sloshing.
It is obvious that the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown and that the shape and dimensions of the elements involved in its production can be modified, without thereby departing from the scope of the invention. patent.
CLAIMS S --------------------------------- I) Sheet metal advertising panel and more particularly in stamped and enamelled sheet characterized In that the upper corners are shaped in the form of pockets to receive and be hung on supports fixed to the wall intended to receive the panel.
