<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
On -
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>

<Desc/Clms Page number 10>
---- Aux fig. 5 à 9 on a représenté une autre forme de réa-
<Desc/Clms Page number 11>
<Desc/Clms Page number 12>
<Desc/Clms Page number 13>
<Desc/Clms Page number 14>
<Desc/Clms Page number 15>
<Desc/Clms Page number 16>
<Desc/Clms Page number 17>

<Desc/Clms Page number 19>
<Desc/Clms Page number 20>
<Desc/Clms Page number 21>

Machine tool for machining raw ingots Dr. WALDRICH K.G,
The present invention relates to a machine tool for removing chips from raw ingots, in the hot state and having four or more edges. The raw ingots, emerging hot from the shells or from the annealing furnaces and which most often have a quadrangular section and are thinned towards their lower end, are intended to be subjected, with the machine according to the invention and before go on to subsequent rolling, to removing chips as quickly as possible on their: four outer faces. The device according to the present invention ensures such treatment.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
ment on the path of the raw ingots from the shell to the mill.
This device has the advantage of being able to be mounted in a particularly advantageous manner on this route and also of not causing any delay on the latter due to the time required for the treatment, this delay being liable to be detrimental to the process. evolution of work.
In accordance with the present invention, the device for advancing hot blocks from the furnace to the rolling mill passes through the machine. A device is provided, which can be moved against one of the front faces of the ingots, so that the ingots are applied from their other side against a fixed and solid wedge and thus be held during the operation. The operation itself is carried out in a single pass of the tool, which is moved by guiding devices, specially actuated along the faces of the object. The processing is preferably carried out while the tool is moving towards the fixed wedge of the object.
The guide devices for the tool carriers can be arranged outside the section of the machine in which the objects are during their treatment and in which their feeding and withdrawal take place.
The accompanying drawings show, by way of nonlimiting examples, various embodiments of the machine which is the subject of the invention.

For the sake of simplicity of the drawings, the cross-sections and sections have been shown in such a way that, in all cases, the essential parts of the machine can be distinguished.
On the frame 1 rest first of all the rails 2, on which move the carriages 3, used for the supply and removal of objects. The support comprises, between the back rails 4 guides parallel to the rails, in the form of claws and
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
which grasp, by means of the claws 5, the carriages
3, thereby preventing the removal of the latter. In the middle part 6 of the support is arranged a plunger 7, movable vertically upwards and downwards and, for example, actuated hydraulically, whose upper end in the form of claws surrounds a tenon 8, of corresponding shape, of carriage 3, when the carriage is in the middle position.
'The tenon 8 is toothed on both sides, at its upper end and meshes with toothed wheels 9, which in turn enter teeth of the grippers or grapples 10 which are mounted to tilt on the carriage, around a axis parallel to the direction of movement. These grapples can, by raising or lowering the plunger 7, be either raised or even lowered towards the middle of the carriage. In the upright position, their upper surface adapts to the object to be worked.
On both sides of the rails 2, the frame 1 carries the lower plungers 11, actuated hydraulically and serving to hold the object.
These plungers 11 are, like the upper plungers 12, formed by the housing 13 with the piston 14 which is located inside and on which the gripper or grapple is fixed.
15, preferably interchangeable) for holding the object 16.
Below the piston 14 is arranged the pressure chamber 17.
By introducing pressurized water into this pressure chamber, the piston can be applied very forcefully against the object. To make it easier to control the piston, its rod
18 is guided in a second pressure cylinder 19 and connected with the piston 20 therein. By introducing pressurized water above or below the piston 20, it is possible, with low consumption of pressurized water, to move towards
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
up and down quick and easy.
On the front face of the machine, the frame 1 is provided with a trestle 21, which is made like a tailstock.
A shaft 22 is journalled in the longitudinal axis of the machine, in the trestle, the shaft of which the interchangeable head 23 is intended to rest against the object 16. The shaft 22 is rotated in such a way that the pressure exercised through the object can be transmitted to it. An endless screw mechanism 24 is provided for its drive; this mechanism can, for example, be actuated by means of an electric motor 26. Cooling water or lubricating oil can be supplied to the shaft 22 through a central bore 25.
On the rear end of the frame 1 is applied the trolley carrier 27. This trolley carrier carries in its longitudinal middle, on the side facing the object, a trestle 28 which forms a cylinder whose rear end is closed by cover 29 and in which a differential piston 30 can move concentrically to the median longitudinal axis of the machine.
By introducing pressurized water into the rear cylindrical chamber 31, the piston 30 can be pressed firmly against the object 16. The small cylindrical chamber 32 suffices. for withdrawal.
In the differential piston 30 and coaxially with it is journaled a shaft or spindle 33, which carries at its front end an interchangeable head 34, pressing against the object. A bearing 35, such as for example a roller bearing, serves to receive the axial pressure. The shaft has a bore 36 which, behind the head 34, widens to form a chamber 37. In the bore 36 penetrates a tube 38, which opens into the chamber 37 in the form of a plate. 39. We -
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
can therefore circulate the cooling water in a large flow around this plate 39, in the chamber 37, in order to obtain an efficient cooling of the head 34. Of course, the same arrangement can be used for the shaft 22. .
When the object 16 is, by the advancement of the differential piston 30, clamped between the tappets 34 and 23 and when the grippers 10 and 15 are removed from the object 16, the latter can be rotated around its longitudinal axis ppr the worm mechanism 24, the shaft 33 thus being driven.
Also in the median axis of the machine, the pressure cylinder 40 is journalled at the rear end of the carriage holder, this cylinder being supplied by the pressurized water pipe 41. The piston, mounted in the cylinder, drives through its rod 43 the carriage 44, which, on both sides of the pressure cylinder 40, is slidably mounted on the carriage holder 27. The carriage 44 is formed by the transverse part 44 'which is gripped by the piston rod 43 and by the two side pieces
44 "and 44 '", which slide by their underside on the guides shaped in a corresponding manner, of the carriage holder
27. The side pieces 44 "and 44" 'carry at their front end vertical journals 45, around which the tool holders 46 are pivotably mounted.
The tool holders carry the tools 47 and are articulated towards the two outer sides of the machine by means of also vertical axes 48 on the control bars 49. By advancing and retreating these control bars 49, the tool holders 46 are swung around the journals 45 and therefore the tools 47 are simultaneously moved towards the median axis of the object.
A particular device is used to actuate the control rods; this device is arranged in a casing 50, fixed
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
(above the pressure cylinder 40 and passing over the latter) on the two side carriages 44 ", 44t't. An increase in the rigidity between the two side carriages is thus achieved.
The housing 50 contains two journals 51 for an axis 52; mounted perpendicular to the median longitudinal shaft of the machine; at its two ends, this shaft carries toothed wheels 53 which in turn mesh with racks 54, connected to the control bars 49. The racks 54 are therefore arranged in projections 55 of the housing 50,
The rotation of the axis 52 is ensured by a toothed wheel 56 which it carries.
This toothed wheel 56 is driven by a toothed wheel 57, mounted on the pinion 58 of a differential mechanism The pinion 58 is mounted with its opposite wheel 59 on the shaft 60 of the differential, this shaft itself being rotatable in pa -. links 61, 62 of the casing 50 and carrying at one of its ends a fixed pinion 63. The rocking member 64 of the differential carries, at its periphery, a worm wheel 65, including the propeller (not shown in drawing) moves on a shaft 66 and is driven by the latter which is arranged parallel to the longitudinal centerline of the machine, on the pressure cylinder 40 or in a bridge 67, placed above the trestle 28.
This bridge 67 carries the worker's seat. In front of this seat is a steering wheel 69 by which it is possible, using a suitable device which has not been shown, to turn the axis 66. The rotation of this axis causes, by the diff @ rontiel , a rotation of the shaft 52 and therefore a displacement of the tools. 47.
In addition to this voluntary control of the device for moving the tools, an automatic device is also provided. tick displacement. For this purpose, another pinion 70, mounted on
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
a shaft 74 journaled in bearings 71, 72 and 73, meshes with the pinion 63. Between the bearings 72 and 73 is keyed on the shaft 74 a lever 75, the lower end 75 'of which moves in the carriage a guide rail 76, the ends of which are adjustable in an adjustable manner to the pressure cylinders 40 or to the bridges 67. When the rail 76 is, as shown, made to make a certain angle with respect to The center line of the machine, the front end 75 'of lever 75 moves sideways if the carriage is moved forward or backward.
This causes, depending on the forward or backward movement of the carriage 44, a movement of the tools.
By choosing and fitting the various elements properly, the tools can be guided in such a way that they approach or move away from each other, depending on the narrowed shape of the objects 16.
In order to be able to grasp the object also from above, there are placed vertically above the plungers 11, plungers 12 similar and acting in an opposite direction and which are carried by the bridge 77, in the form of a fork.
The front end 77 'of the bridge 77 rests on the trestle 21. The two rear arms 77 "rest on the columns 78, which are fixed to the carriage holder 27 on both sides of the latter.
On deck 67, in front of the worker's seat 78, are the control levers 79 and other machine controls. One can, from the top of this seat, directly see the operations.
In the frame 1, on either side of the plungers 11, there are provided recesses 80 through which the chips, removed from the object, can fall downwards into chambers or containers provided for this purpose.
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
The machine in accordance with the invention enables raw ingots to be worked very quickly over their entire face. To this end, tools are used which are applied each time to the two opposite faces of the object and which have a width at least such that, for a passage in front of the object, they extend over at least the half of its surface. Therefore, also soon after the first planing, the article can be turned 90 and again processed in such a way that after two passes the operation is complete and the article can be sent for rolling. The shape of the tools must naturally be adapted to the external profile of the object.
In order to avoid the production, in tools which must be very wide, of stresses which could lead to cracks in these tools, they are preferably subdivided, without eliminating for that the realization of a continuous cut which allows the continuous chip removal.
The raw, hot ingot transported by the carriage 3 on the rails 2 below the middle of the machine is first brought, by tilting the head 34 towards the front to the head 23. The upper plungers 12 are then lowered onto the ingot so that the object is between these plungers and the grippers 10 of the carriage. The lower plungers 11 are then brought to bear on the ingot and the grippers 10 are turned inward, under the action of the high pressure of the plunger 7 applied against the carriage 3 held by the claws 5. As a result, two of the sides of the raw ingot are available for processing and, moreover, the space required for the passage of the tools is free alongside the ingot.
When, if necessary, the ingot is brought into its correct height position by the small pistons 20 of the plungers 11
<Desc / Clms Page number 10>
ot 12, the latter are strongly applied to the ingot by the action of their pistons 14. As the upper ends of the raw ingots are often irregular, blown and weak, it would not be sufficient to keep the ingot between the ingots. heads 34 and 23, especially as the resistance of the hot material is still low. The plungers 11 and 12 must therefore most often ensure the maintenance of the ingot during the treatment. Due to the incompletely solidified state of the object; there are also 5 / upper limits for the pressure of these divers.
Cos divers must therefore present over a large surface, a shape adapted to the object. As the raw ingots are most often shell cast and have relatively regular shapes, this does not cause any difficulty.
Once the fixing is complete, the tools 47 are, by moving the carriage 44 brought to the object in the vicinity of the head 23 and they remove, during the forward thrust of the carriage, which then occurs, a chip which falls downwards. .
Immediately after the end of this working stroke, the object is free. The grippers 10 of the carriage 3 stand up again and the ingot falls back on them. The ingot, with its faces which have just been worked, can therefore very quickly be brought to subsequent rolling.
The roller 81, arranged in front of one of the gripping members
10 of the carriage 3 serves as a safety device. If, for example, the plunger 7 had for some reason not completely moved the grippers 10, the tool carriage 44 would strike the roller and press it itself, down into the position. final, as well as the other takers, through the mechanism.
---- In fig. 5 to 9 show another form of
<Desc / Clms Page number 11>
ization of the invention, which is particularly suitable for simpler operations and for a particular side mounting next to roller tracks.
The whole machine consists of a closed frame, which comprises on the one hand the ooulissels carrying the tools with their linear control, while at its opposite end it is provided with a wedge against which the object is applied by its front face, by means of a fixing head, placed between the slides. In the middle of the frame is the chamber in which the object itself is placed and below an object feeding device is arranged at a depth such that the lower slide can move freely above this device. 'brought ,. This embodiment of the machine has the great advantage of reduced lateral dimensions, while at the same time making it possible to produce a very robust frame, with relatively low consumption of material.
The machine can be very easily used in rolling mills next to existing roller tracks for ingot advancement or the like. Likewise, the machine is well suited for mounting between two roller tracks, when one of the roller tracks, for example, is intended to bring the objects, while the other roller track has to transport the treated objects further. , for example to the next rolling mill train; due to the small lateral dimensions of the machine, the roller tracks need only have a small lateral separation between them.
; ' The desired object is further achieved by various particular characteristics of the machine.
U-shaped grooves are provided in the middle part of the frame for the supply and removal of objects, in which
<Desc / Clms Page number 12>
the feed carriages runners are guided and prevent the rollers from leaving the running surfaces. The trolleys are fitted with supporting arms on which the object can be placed at the suitable height for processing. These support arms are mounted so that they can be released laterally, around joints, in the direction of movement of the slide; they further include stops by which the lower slide can release them during its passage, by means of a guide that it carries itself.
These supporting arms also include devices which are bandaged during the passage of the slider forwards and which can therefore, when the slider returns, straighten the supporting arms. Therefore any auxiliary actuation devices are unnecessary. As the slides themselves move the supporting arms away from their path during their or forward travel and as these supporting arms return when the slide returns immediately under the object, any special control and the necessary power are avoided as well as their inconvenient service; at the same time, the possibility of extremely rapid passage of objects through the machine has been realized.
In the simplest embodiment, the slides carry planing tools which, during the passage of the slide, remove a chip from the upper face and the lower face of the object. When, as usually happens, the working faces of the object form a certain angle to each other, the slides can also be arranged at an angle corresponding to each other. The possibility of using such a machine would be relatively limited.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the tools are therefore not attached to the slide directly, but -
<Desc / Clms Page number 13>
by means of one or more tilting supports.
Such tilting supports can advantageously also be used on the sides of the slide to receive tools which must work on the side faces of the objects.
When such tilting supports are attached to the upper and lower slides, the tools arranged on the same side are slightly offset from one another with respect to the autro and placed a little in superposition of cut. The movement of the tilting supports can be caused by means of a mechanical control which, in the case of the treatment of conical objects, can for example be a function of the main control of the slides, so that at a determined position of the slide corresponds a position of the tilting supports. Other characteristics of the invention are specified below, with reference to the attached designs.
The machine frame carries it, at one of its ends, in suitable guiding devices, the upper slide 2a and the lower slide 3a, in the front end of which are mounted the planing tools 4a .
The actuation of the sliders can be effected in various ways. In the assembly shown it is ensured by means of: pistons 5a and piston rods 6a, which are journaled in cylinders, 7a of the machine frame. Likewise in the frame of the machine and between the two slides, there is mounted a cylinder 8a, with a piston 9a, at the front end of which is fixed the holding head 10a, which presses the object 11a against the wedge. 12a, attached to the other end of the machine frame 1a and which holds it in this way during work.
In the middle part of the machine frame, at the
<Desc / Clms Page number 14>
below the object in its working position, U-shaped grooves 13a are provided in the direction perpendicular to that of movement of the sliders and in which the rollers 14a of a feed carriage 15a roll and are at the same time maintained against any release.
These guide devices and the feed carriage itself are arranged at a depth such that the lower slide can move freely above them during its passage.
On the feed carriage 15a are mounted two supporting arms 16a tilting around articulations 17a in such a way that they can be released laterally in the direction of the support 12a. In their upright position these supporting arms can receive the object 11a, which they maintain at the height necessary for its treatment. In addition, these supporting arms 16a are provided with devices such as springs which are banded during disengagement and are intended to maintain the supporting arms in their upright position. In the example shown, the tilting levers 18a are for this purpose articulated in such a way, in the frame of the machine, that they can be tilted backwards parallel to the support arm 16a.
At their upper end, these levers 18a carry rollers 19a rolling on the supporting arms 16a. Below this articulation 20a the levers 18a are provided with circular segments 21a and traction cables 22a fixed thereon and which, passing over guide rollers 23a 24a terminate in freely suspended weights 25a, placed so that the rocking levers 18a are applied against the supporting arms 16a. Lateral guides 26a, 26'a, 26 "a maintain the supporting arms in their upper position, when the cha-
<Desc / Clms Page number 15>
riot 15a is brought out of the middle position and that, as a result, the rocking levers 18 can no longer fulfill this function.
On that of their faces turned towards the slides, the carrying arms are provided with stops 27a which cooperate with a stop 28a, arranged in front of the lower slide and at its lower edge, such that the slide 3a, passing with its stop 28a, on the stops 27a causes the supporting arms to tilt back, so that the object 11a is only held between the head 7a and the support block 12a, the rocking lever 18a then being folded down and the weights 25a being readings. If the slider 3a returns to its rest position, the weights 25a pull the rocking levers 18a and return the supporting arms 16a to their position below the object which, immediately after the return of the slider and the disengagement of the head 10a can be removed by lateral extraction of the carriage 15a.
In fig. 6 shows the assembly of the machine according to the invention, between two roller tracks 30a 30a; this device is such that the supporting arms 16a of the carriage 15a ′ can pass laterally between the roller tracks, their upper faces 30 ′ a being substantially at the same height as the. upper surface 30a of the roller tracks. For the lateral movement of the carriage 15a, it is possible to use, for example, a cable control 31a, guided on either side on rollers 32a.
In the variant of fig. 7 of slide 2a, the tools
4a serving for the treatment of the surface of the object 11a are mounted on the inner face of the slide. In addition, lateral cams 32a are provided on the slide; these cams carry, by means of articulations 23a, lateral tilting supports 33a, arranged below the cutting surface
<Desc / Clms Page number 16>
superior. At their other end, these tilting supports 33a carry, via articulations 35a, racks 36a, the teeth of which, meshing with a pinion 37a, can be actuated by means of a shaft 38a, for example by function of the forward movement of the slide 2a in a manner which has not been particularly shown in the drawing.
The arrangement of such oscillating supports can naturally be carried out in another way, for example the upper slide can carry the tilting support and the tools for the treatment of one of the faces of the object, the lower slide carrying the tilting support for the treatment of the opposite face of the object. Likewise the tools for the treatment of the upper and lower faces of the object can be fixed to slides in tilting supports. In fig. 9 is shown in section the objot 11a at its thickest end, in dotted lines for its thinned end, assuming that it is an object that is thinning only on the two faces including the upper sides and lower are parallel.
There is shown in FIGS. 10 and 11 another variant of the machine according to the invention. The tools 1b and l'b are fixed by means of support on the two tool holders 2b and 2'b.
These are arranged movably in sliding and rolling guides which are mounted as elements in the guide block 3b of the machine housing. Their position corresponds to the inclination of the objects to be worked on. The lower guide path is preferably horizontal, the upper guide path is preferably made inclined.
In the guide block 3b are arranged 1 or more clamping cylinders 4b with pistons 5b and clamping pieces 6b.
<Desc / Clms Page number 17>
The clamping device 4b to 6b clamps the object 7b against the clamping plate 8b which can be cooled as well as the clamping device. The plate 8b is fixed to the tension device 9b in which the cylinders 10b and 11b of the upper slide and 10'b and 11'b of the lower slide are arranged.
The pistons moving in the cylinders are used, with the piston rods which are fixed thereto, (12b-13b and 12'b-13'b), for the displacement of the slides 211b and 2b. The piston rods are therefore coupled to the slides. The coupling can be durable.
It is, however, possible to make, with known means which have been used on draw benches, the piston rods rapidly separable from the slides. The objects are fed through the roller track part 14b to the tilting or oscillating roller track 15b. On the latter there are stops 16b, movable or tiltable, which 'have a shape such that an easy straightening or centering of the object is made possible. The part of roller track 15b is such that, once the fixing of the object has been completed, it can be brought outside the zone of movement of the slide 2 ′ b. This result is obtained by means of the toothed segment 18b and of the pinion 19b, around the axis 20b.
It is also possible to use a simple lifting cam, similar to the wheel lift of an automobile, but this has the disadvantage that the falling chips impede the passage of the rollers. The removal of the treated object is effected by the tilting roller track 15b and by the roller track part 21b.
The processing of an object is carried out as follows:
The roller track part 15b is tilted upwards; its final position is determined by stops and
<Desc / Clms Page number 18>
suitable couplers. The sliders 2b and the scissors 1b are in their "left" position. The object is brought by the roller track 14b and 15b to the stops 16b spaced from their position and is held by the clamping device 4b, 5b and 6b and by the clamping plate 8b. The fixing cylinder is serviced by a liquid pump with a known type automatic zero stroke return device, which is electrically or mechanically controlled. When the pressure of the zero stroke return device is reached, the rocking movement of the roller track section begins downward.
When the lower position is reached, the main pump for moving the slide is started, while the movement of the roller track part itself is stopped. The slides are then pulled with their knives over the surface of the object, the surface of which is thus planed.
When the slides have reached their extreme position, they are automatically reversed and return to their starting position. The knives can be released during the return stroke by devices known per se. In the extreme position of the sliders, the main pump stops, the sliders are fixed and the upward movement of the part 15b of the roller track begins. When the roller track part 15b has reached its extreme position, its movement is stopped and the pressure on the clamping cylinder 4b is reversed so that the object is released and can be removed on the roller track parts 15b and 21b. The mnchine can then receive a new object.
The machine which has just been described is suitable for treating or working slabs for their two flat faces.

When working with masses, such as slabs or ingots, on planers or mortisers, only the harmful surface of the objects is removed. The shape and dimensions of the objects present, as they are poured en masse, only very small deviations so that a large adjustment displacement does not come into play. To eliminate the surface in a few strokes, or else a wide knife is used which extends over the entire working width which is therefore treated completely in a single working stroke, or else several knives are fixed next to each other as can be seen in Figure 13. The knives are then arranged so as to keep approximately the shape of the objects.
To prevent the knives from breaking, their cutting edges must be such that there are no sharp edges which would break during work under load and heat. The angles are therefore rounded. We therefore obtain a worked surface of the tool with sharp edges which interfere with rolling. It is therefore necessary to remove these edges in a second working stroke.
The knife must therefore, after the first working stroke, be lifted, withdrawn and reversed. The present invention enables this operation to be carried out in a very simple manner.
In fig. 12, it can be seen that the knives 1c are fixed to the knife holder 2c. This knife holder is mounted on one or more eccentric pivots 3c of the piston rod 4c 5c.
The piston is in a cylinder 6c which is connected to the channels 7c and 8c. By means of connection devices known per se, a toothed wheel or any other drive member brings, after each stroke, the piston rod and with it the eccentric head 3c, into the appropriate position.
As seen in fig. 13 the eccentricity corresponds
<Desc / Clms Page number 20>
about half the width of the knives.
To make the layout used here even clearer; all the provisions of the application have been shown in principle in FIG. 13. Point 0 is the projection of the center line of piston rod 4c. The circle P represents the trajectory of the median line of the eccentric 3c around the point 0 and the points a ', b', or a, b represent the positions of the tool for which it takes the same adjustment with respect to to the object but another lateral position. Point C represents the extreme outer position around which the tool can be removed from the object. The representation in solid lines of the tool and its representation in dashed lines show the positions of the tool corresponding to points a 'and b' with respect to the object W drawn in large lines.
The positions indicated in dotted lines correspond to points a and b. The mixed route corresponds to point C.
The work will therefore occur, for example, for the removal of a single thickness of chips, first in the position of the tool corresponding to point a, then in a position corresponding to point b.
To allow such movement of the tool, the tool holder is provided with a piston 5c which can be moved back and forth in a cylinder 6c by a pressure medium and which at the same time allows rotation of the rod. 4c around its axis, this rotation being able to be caused by the toothed wheel 9c shown on the left in FIG. 12. Maintaining the tool holder in the position given to it by this toothed wheel mechanism is ensured by friction of the tool holder on its stop surface, said tool holder being strongly applied to this stop by the corresponding action of piston 5c.

The advantages of the present invention lie in the possibility of a very easy adjustment of the tool with simple attachment and release of the tool holder as well as the possibility of giving the tool for equal spacings two inverted or opposite positions. one in relation to the other.
Fig. 14 schematically represents the essential characteristics of the present invention. The machine tool M comprises the fixed wedge W and the retaining head K, movable forwards and backwards. Beside, on or under this retaining head, are provided mobile tool holders T forwards and backwards with the tools L and the feed device F which passes through the machine at the location of the ingot work B.
