  "Article d'habillement pour bébés, tommes,on couches, etc.." -

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 de sorte que les doublures absorbantes des   pans e   et e s'appliquent l'une contre l'autre; on glisse ensuite les extrémités de ces deux pans sous   l'enfant   comme   l'indique   la fig.   4,   on relève le pan d entre les jambes et on applique son extrémité d1 contre les   parties a,   et b déjà superposées sur le ventre (fig. 5);

  "Item of clothing for babies, tommes, diapers, etc." -
Babies' clothing usually comprises several separate pieces, such as point, diaper, diaper, rubber pants, which has the disadvantage of making it difficult to swaddle the child and entail costly making up,
The object of the present invention is to create a single article of layette which, thanks to its particular conformation, on its own fulfills the role of the various garment -parties previously employed. The cost of this new item of layette is low, its cleaning

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 ge is easy, its application on the baby is extremely simple at the same time that it answers all the concerns of a modern swaddling.

   It can also be made in larger dimensions to serve, for example, women in childbirth, certain patients, etc.

   The appended drawing represents, in one embodiment given for purely illustrative purposes, the subject of the invention.

   Fig. 1 is a view of the developed article.

   Figs. 2, 3, 4, 5 show in perspective the successive phases of a baby's swaddle.

   Fig. 6 shows an optional accessory part.

   The article according to the invention consists of a piece of fine cotton fabric, cut so as to include a wide strip a b, intended to surround the child's body, and three ± sides. Starting from the lower edge of this strip, each of these sections connecting to the latter by rounded corners and having a flared shape towards the bottom, the middle one ending with a portion d1 large enough to cover the baby's entire belly.

   The side c is lined with terry cloth, or other absorbent fabric, on one side and the sides of e are lined with a similar fabric on their opposite side.

   Oven use this kind of diaper, we put the baby on the middle of the band ab, we raise part a with the side o to bring them to the front of the body, the part applying to the stomach and the side o between the legs as shown in fig. 2, then raise part b and panel e in the same way (fig. 3)

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 so that the absorbent linings of the panels e and e are pressed against each other; the ends of these two panels are then slid under the child as shown in fig. 4, one raises the side d between the legs and one applies its end d1 against the parts a, and b already superimposed on the belly (fig. 5);

   finally we attach everything on each side using safety pins or buttons and buttonholes provided for this purpose.

   The child is thus protected by several layers of fine fabric and terry cloth in front, behind and between the legs, and is in direct contact only with the fine fabric of the band! b and pan c.

   In some cases we can add to the artiole described above a piece of waterproof fabric (fig. 6), for example rubberized canvas, cut in a shape corresponding to that of the panel d and intended to be interposed between this panel and the pan e (traced in phantom in fig. 4), or externally by fixing it suitably on pan d.

   Of course, it is possible without departing from the invention to vary the dimensions and proportions of the various parts of the article shown as well as the nature of the fabrics used, the number of absorbent fabric linings, the attachment means, etc.

   In the event that the article is intended for adults, it will suffice to suitably modify the dimensions and proportions of its constituent parts.
