PERFECTIONNEMENT AUX PLANCHES A LESSIVER. les planches à lessiver de fabrication courante s'accrochent pendant le travail,de manière appropriée par leur tête au rebord supérieur circonférentiel de la cuve ou du tonneau à lessiver, tandis que les extrémités du cadre,enserrant la tôle ondulée de la planche, s'appuient sur le fond de la cuve ou du tonneau.Par suite des frottements du linge sur la planche,celle-ci est soumise à des mouvements continuels, qui creusent bientôt des sillons dans la paroi du fond de la cuve, qu'elle soit en bois,zinc ou galvanisé.Ce fond se détériore ainsi rapidement et doit être remplacé.
Pour éviter cet inconvénient, la planche à lessiver perfectionnée conformément à l'invention présente à sa partie inférieure un support en une ou plusieurs pièces,,dans lequel s'insèrent les extrémités du cadre et qui prend appui sur le fond de la cuve suivant une surface de contact parfaitement plane..
Le dessin annexé à ce mémoire,montre à titre d'exemple, en Fig.I une planche à lessiver perfectionnée dans la position occupée dans la cuve à lessiver;Fig.2' est une vue en plan correspondante et Fig.3,une vue partielle d'une planche à lessiver à tête métallique.

Comme le montre la Fig.I,la tôle ondulée 1 constituant la surface de lessivage est serrée latéralement entre les deux branches 2a et 2b d'un fer plat,dont l'une se termine par le crochet habituel 2c,tandis que l'autre se fixe sur la pièce de bois 3 dis posée à la tête de la planche .La Branche supérieure 2b pourrait aussi se fixer sur le prolongement courbe la de la tôle. (fig.3).
Suivant l'invention,les extrémités saillantes du cadre 2a, 2b, pénètrent dans une traverse en bois ou en matière analogue 4 sous un angle de 45 environ,de manière que la surface de contact de cette traverse avec le fond de la cuve à lessiver soit bien plane.Desgoujons 5 fixent la traverse 4 aux fers 2a,2b,et la tô- ondulée se prolonge elle-même en Ib pour s'appliquer contre la face verticale arrière de la traverse et s'y fixer par des clous6,
On ne sortirait évidemment pas du domaine de l'invention en remplaçant la traverse 4 par deux sabots, plus ou moins longs,qui seraient fixes chacun aux fers 2a,2b,ou par des disques de forme appropriée en caoutchouc ou matière analogue.
REVENDICATIONS.
1. Perfectionnement aux planches à lessiver consistant à leur donner comme appui sur le fond de la cuve ou du tonneau à lessiver une surface de contact plane et lisse,qui supprime toute détérioration de ce fond.

IMPROVEMENT IN LAUNDRY BOARDS. commonly manufactured laundry boards during work, suitably hook by their head to the circumferential upper edge of the laundry tub or barrel, while the ends of the frame, enclosing the corrugated iron of the board, s' press on the bottom of the tank or barrel, as a result of the laundry rubbing on the board, it is subjected to continual movements, which soon make furrows in the bottom wall of the tank, whether it is in wood, zinc or galvanized. This backing deteriorates quickly and must be replaced.
To avoid this drawback, the improved laundry board in accordance with the invention has at its lower part a support in one or more parts ,, in which the ends of the frame are inserted and which rests on the bottom of the tank following a perfectly flat contact surface.
The drawing appended to this specification shows by way of example, in Fig.I an improved laundry board in the position occupied in the laundry tub; Fig.2 'is a corresponding plan view and Fig.3, a view part of a metal-headed laundry board.

As shown in Fig.I, the corrugated sheet 1 constituting the washing surface is clamped laterally between the two branches 2a and 2b of a flat iron, one of which ends with the usual hook 2c, while the other is fixed on the piece of wood 3 placed at the head of the board. The upper branch 2b could also be fixed on the curved extension of the sheet. (fig. 3).
According to the invention, the projecting ends of the frame 2a, 2b, penetrate into a crosspiece made of wood or similar material 4 at an angle of approximately 45, so that the contact surface of this crosspiece with the bottom of the washing tank is perfectly flat. Studs 5 fix the cross member 4 to the bars 2a, 2b, and the corrugated sheet extends itself in Ib to rest against the rear vertical face of the cross member and to fix it by nails 6,
It would obviously not go beyond the scope of the invention to replace the cross member 4 by two shoes, more or less long, which would each be fixed to the irons 2a, 2b, or by appropriately shaped discs of rubber or similar material.
CLAIMS.
1. Improvement to washing boards consisting in giving them as support on the bottom of the tub or the washing barrel a flat and smooth contact surface, which eliminates any deterioration of this bottom.
