Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 6>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 7>

 suivant l'invention.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 8>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 9>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 10>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 11>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 12>

     Das les exemples décrits de formes de réalisation de l'invention, les parties primaire et secondaire sont réglées au moyen d'organes de réglage indépendants. Le principe de l'invention, de régler au démarrage de la transmission, d'abord uniquement la partie primaire, pour la plus grande capacité d'absorption de la, partie secondaire, puis seulement la partie secondaire, et lors du

 <Desc/Clms Page number 13>

   The usual hydraulic transmissions according to the delivery principle comprise a primary member (hydraulic pump) and a secondary member (hydraulic motor) which both have to be adjusted by the displacement of certain members, for example by eccentric translation of the casing in the case of of rotary machines, The movement of these components in order to adjust the number of revolutions and to influence the power or the torque can be done directly, by hand, or by means of servomotors. This movement can also be done quite freely or depending on the extent of service of the engine operating the transmission or of the machine to be controlled.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   To respond to the various adjustment problems, controls have been recommended in which either the primary part and the secondary part are adjusted by actuating separate adjustment members or else they are both adjusted by an organ. common setting.

   In many cases where hydraulic transmissions are employed, it is desirable to operate them on the one hand with as low an oil pressure as possible and on the other hand with as uniform an efficiency. as possible. For this purpose, a control has already been proposed with a common regulating member for the hydraulic pump and for the hydraulic motor, in which for the greater absorption capacity of the motor the pump flow rate increases from zero, while the absorption capacity of the hydraulic motor does not decrease until after the pump has reached its maximum flow. As long as this control fulfills the assigned goal, it has the advantage that: the start-up is always done by means of the greatest possible torque. However, it has two important drawbacks.

   So that the trajectory of the service unit does not become disproportionately large, the sensitivity of the adjustment specific to hydraulic controls must be waived. To shut down the secondary transmission component, that is to say shut down the controlled machine, the capacity must first be adjusted up to its maximum value. absorption of the hydraulic motor and then only reduce the flow rate of the pump so that naturally the stopping of the machine takes place with a corresponding slowness, which, in many cases, is not bearable. .

   The object of the invention is to start with the greatest possible torque, respectively with the greatest available torque, the machine to be controlled, and nevertheless to stop it by the shortest way without having to resort to faulty settings.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

   The invention therefore starts from the known principle, which consists in distributing to a common regulating member for the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor, to increase, starting from zero, the flow rate of the pump, for the greatest capacity. absorption capacity of the motor, then to reduce the absorption capacity of the hydraulic motor only when the full flow of the pump is reached.

   The increase in the pump flow rate from zero flow does not obviously need to be brought to the maximum flow rate but it can also be brought to a determined value, the most favorable, given that it is often desirable, taking into account the internal losses of the transmission and the. machine to operate, not to use the full flow of the pump at the start, but only when the number of revolutions increases.

   The invention consists in the fact that when the transmission is stopped, the primary and secondary members are brought back simultaneously to the starting position. A further peculiarity of the invention is that, for this purpose, there is established between the parts of the transmission which operate the adjustment, a link by transmission which comprises an elastic member, or other suitable member, and compensates for the differences existing on the one hand. more often between the adjustment paths of the pump and the motor. By this arrangement the invention has at the same time achieved the advantage that the adjustment of the hydraulic motor can be made as sensitive as desired.

   In the drawing are shown by way of example three different embodiments of the invention, in particular:
Fig. 1 shows a mechanical control in which the adjustment is carried out by separate adjustment members.

   Fig. 2 is a hydraulic control in which the

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

 adjustment is made by means of two separate hand levers.

   Fig. 3 is an electric control in which two servomotors are provided for the adjustment.

   In fig. 1 the adjustable part of the hydraulic pump is designated by 1; by 2 the adjustable part of the hydraulic motor of a reversible hydraulic transmission, not shown in detail, of the kind described in the prior USA patent n 2049092 "Rotary Piston Engine, espesially for Fluid Gear" of July 28, 1936. The adjustable part 1 of the pump is provided with a threaded part 4 in which engages a threaded rod 3 which can be turned by means of the hand lever 5. The lever 5 is fixed in an annular part 17 connected to a shaft 3 'constita.nt the extension of the threaded rod 3, by a wedge allowing axial displacement.

   By rotating shaft 3 ', the pump flow rate can thus be adjusted from zero to maximum value and this depending on the direction of rotation of the reversible transmission movement in one or more in the other direction of rotation. The adjustable part ± of the motor is provided with a bolt 19 which for its part carries on a transverse axis a rotating roller 21. This roller engages in a guide groove 22 provided in the cylinder 7. This cylinder is firmly wedged on the shaft 6 on which is also fixed the annular part 18 carrying the hand lever 8. The axis 6 as well as other parts rest in the rigid frame 9 of the device.

   The shape of the guide groove 22 is visible in FIG. 1a, which shows a development of cylinder 7 The position shown for roller 21 corresponds to the adjustment position for which the motor has its greatest absorption capacity. In this adjustment position, the hand lever 8 is locked by a special device, as long as the pump is placed on zero flow, therefore on idle.

   For this purpose, on the tree 3 '. is fixed a cylinder 12 provided with a guide cam 30 In this guide cam 30, the shape of which is visible in fig, lb, which represents a

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

 development of the cylinder 12, engages the end of an adjustment lever with two arms 13, which pivots on a journal 26 The other end of the adjustment lever 13 moves a bolt 28 guided in a nozzle 25 while two springs 29 and 29 'tend to reset the middle position. On a transverse rod 27 of the bolt 28 is fixed a guide roller which engages in a guide groove 25 formed in the. annular piece 18.

   The shape of this guide groove is visible at. fig. 1c, in which the roller 24 is shown in the locked position.

   The movement of the hand lever 5 is locked in a certain way, described in detail later, by the latch 14 which works in correlation with a profiled cam provided on the annular part 17. The shape of this cam is visible in FIG. , 1d which represents a development of the annular part 17. The annular part 17 also carries coupling claws 10 which fit into the claws 11 of the part 9 opposite the coupling when the latter -ci is moved axially.

   The coupling 9 is packaged as a slip clutch and additionally carries the toothed wheel 15 which in turn engages with a toothed wheel 16 wedged on the axle 6.
The operation of the installation described is as follows: The device is shown in. no-load position in which the pump is at zero flow and the motor 1; its greatest absorption capacity, while its adjustment is locked by device 13, 23, 24.

   If now by actuating the lever 5 by the rotation of the shaft 3 ', the pump is adjusted to a sufficient flow: .. ing large, for example, at the greatest possible flow, thanks to the suitably chosen drill bit for the guiding ra.inure 30, through the lever 13 and the device 27, 28, the locking 23, 24 is released and this so that, for a determined direction of placement of the hand lever 5 (for example for forward travel). lever 8 is only released for one direction of rotation while it

 <Desc / Clms Page number 6>

 remains locked for the other direction of rotation. In the other direction of adjustment (for example for reverse gear) lever 8 is released for rotation in the other direction and locked for that.

  At the same time the latch 14 locks the annular part 17 as well as the hand lever 5 in such a way that the latter can no longer be moved or can only be moved in the direction of adjustment started. Now, by lever 8, shaft and cam cylinder 7, the motor capacity is changed, as a result of which, if necessary, the pump output can be increased simultaneously.

   The cam cylinder 7 is of symmetrical construction so that the hydraulic motor is adjusted in the same way, from the maximum absorption capacity, for both directions of rotation of the lever 8 to stop the transmission, the annular piece 17 and the hand lever are axially moved and thus the coupling 11 is engaged and simultaneously becomes inoperative, the latch 14 which only blocks the lever 15 in one of the directions of rotation. tion. The lever 5 can now be brought back, which decreases the flow rate of the pump, while simultaneously, by the gears 15 and 16, the hydraulic motor is brought to its greatest absorption capacity.

   The transmission ratio of the gears is suitably chosen so that the adjustment path of the pump corresponds to the largest possible adjustment path of the motor. The pump was only partially brought back, so that, following a wrong operation, the hydraulic motor cannot be set to a smaller absorption capacity, without simultaneously setting the pump to a flow rate. larger, the latch 14 prevents disengagement of the coupling 10, 11 until the adjustment lever 5 of the pump has reached its zero position and the latch 14 wedges or is closed. In the first case, the lock 14 must be released before or during the re-engagement of the control.

   Fig '2 shows an example of a hydraulic control

 <Desc / Clms Page number 7>

 according to the invention. The control spool 120 regulates the pump 1 and the control spool 121 regulates the hydraulic motor 2 The direction of adjustment of the pump 1 is determined by the spools 122 123 that of the motor by the spools 124 125 which, manually, by means of the lever 126 and 127 respectively are brought into the desired position so that the spools 120 and 121 are under the action of the pressurized liquid supplied by an auxiliary pump 128. Via a pressure relief valve 129 via pipes 130, respectively 131 the pressurized liquid arrives directly at the drawers 122 123 respectively 124,

     125 on the other hand, it does not pass through line 132 until after the pump adjustment piston 120 has been moved away from its middle position. The auxiliary spool 133 serves only for balancing the pressure inside the distribution.

  The distribution works as follows:
In the idle position of the transmission, therefore for a zero flow rate of the pump, the adjustment sliders 122 123 and 124 125, occupy the position 'represented. The pressurized liquid removed by the auxiliary pump 128 from the reservoir 12 acts through the pipe 130 as well as 134 and 135 on the two faces of a piston 120 which by the two springs 145 and 147, stretched against one another. on the other, and the stop 136 is maintained in the middle position shown, for which the pump flow rate is zero.

   The stop 136 consists of a bolt, placed under the action of a spring, and which engages in a notch 136 'provided in the piston rod 120 Through the pipes 131 and 138 the pressurized liquid also presses on the front face of the spool 121 in such a way that, for the occupied position, the hydraulic motor has its greatest absorption capacity. Surplus pressurized liquid flows through the pressure relief valve 129 into the reservoir. The spool 124, 125 cannot be moved manually if the pressure on the front face of the piston 125 is large enough, since the opposite face of the piston 124 is in communication with the oil reservoir $ of the auxiliary pump.

   For switching on the transmission in

 <Desc / Clms Page number 8>

 either direction of rotation, the drawer 122, 123 is moved forwards or backwards by means of the hand lever 126, so that either the line 134 or the line 135 is closed. and that the pipe 139 or respectively 140 is open.

   Thus, however, the pressurized liquid only acts on one of the faces of the piston 120 and with the movable part 1 of the pump, the latter is returned to the other of its faces, against the action of the springs 146,! il. The stop 136 is released either separately or simultaneously by the lever 126 or again automatically by the piston 120 In this way, the mobile part 1 of the pump can be brought into a desired position, corresponding to the greatest flow rate and which can usefully be delimited by fixed stops.

   In order to be able to also operate the transmission with smaller flow rates, the spool 122, 123 can be designed so that for one position, the spool 122 closes both the pipe 134 and the pipe 139, or in another position , the drawer 123 closes both the pipe 140 and the. line 135 After the piston 120 has traveled a determined path, for example the entire adjustment path, it opens the line 132 'and thus connects the upper face of the piston 124 with the pressure line 130.

  In certain cases, it is useful to provide two conduits 132 ', in order to be able to adjust the strokes of the piston, independently of one another, for the two directions towards which they are open. The pressure of the liquid on the spools 124, 125 is now balanced so that it can be moved manually forward, by means of the lever 127, so that the lines 138 and 141 are closed and the lines 137 and 142 open. Thus the front face of the piston of the drawer 121 is unloaded and the rear face is loaded, so that the drawer 121 moves forward and sets the hydraulic motor to its smallest absorption capacity.

   The desired number of revolutions being reached, by the operation of the hand lever 127, the drawer 124, 125 is brought into its middle position for which it closes the four.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 9>

 be conducted 137, 138, 141, 142 which locks the -piston 321.

  These locks can be dispensed with if, for the predetermination of the greatest numbers of revolutions, stops are provided on the adjustment path of the hydraulic motor, to be adjusted according to the desired limit numbers of revolutions. The pipes 143 144 145 serve for the evacuation, towards the oil tank or the suction chamber of the auxiliary pump, of the liquid without pressure, displaced by the movement of the piston. To stop the transmission, by means of the lever 126, the spool 122, 123 is brought into its middle position, so that the pressure of the liquid is equal on both sides of the piston 120 and the latter is returned. in its middle position by the springs 146 147.

   In this way, the piston 120 closes the pipe 132 '. while the piston 133 opens the pipe 144 The rear face of the piston 124 is thus pressureless and the spool 124, 125 is pushed by the pressurized liquid opening into the pipe 131, towards its rear terminal position so that the valve . line 131 is communicated with 138 and 137 is closed. The piston 121 thus sets the hydraulic motor to its greatest absorption capacity and thus the starting position is restored.

   Fig. 3 shows an electrical control according to the invention. The adjustment of part 1 of the pump and of part ¯3 of the motor is made, for example, for each of them by an electric motor 250, respectively 251, which attack by means of helical gears. da.ux 252 respectively 253, the adjustment axis 254 respectively 255. Using the female parts 256 257 connected to the parts to be adjusted ¯1.and 2, the eccentricity of the pump and motor part is thus modified .

   On the adjustment rods 254 and 255 there are bosses or cams 258 respectively 259 to actuate the switches 260 261 262 263,264 and 265 which together with the push buttons ,. 266, 267 268 269 and 270 control the two change-over relays 271 and 272 of motors 250 251, as well as the auxiliary relays 273 274 The operation of the

 <Desc / Clms Page number 10>

 command is as follows:
In the initial position shown, the pump output is zero and the motor has its greatest absorption capacity. All relay coils are currentless.

   To start the transmission depending on whether you want to turn it in one direction or the other, push button 266 or 268 is pressed, as a result of which the coil a71 attracts the relay.
27la or the coil b71 attracts the relay 271b The operations are obviously the same for both directions of rotation. It is therefore sufficient to explain them in more detail for one of the directions of rotation.

     By pushing the button 266 the coil a71 receives current through the switches 260 263 and the auxiliary relay 274 and it activates the change-over relay 271a so that the motor 250 engages the pump flow. Simultaneously by the rotation of the adjustment axis 254 the boss 258 has rotated, so that through the bridge 275 the switch 262 is reversed. The hydraulic motor is thus at its greatest absorption capacity.

   It cannot be moved first because the. coil b72 of the change-over relay 272b remains without current even if the button is pressed
270 since the corresponding electric circuit is interrupted at switches 261 and 260 It is only when the pump has reached its maximum flow and the changeover relay 271a and at the same time the electric motor 250 have been switched off by switch 260 that the electrical circuit for coil b72 can be closed by pushing button 270 and by switches
265 360. pushbuttons 267 and auxiliary relays 274. It is of course possible to separate the two contacts of the switch
260 and thus activate the closing contact of the electrical circuit of the coil b72 after a shorter displacement of the pump part than by

  the electrical circuit cut-off contact of coil a71, Coil b72 actuates change-over relay 272b. thus engages motor 251 and adjusts the hydraulic motor, and Qela as long as button 270 is pressed, or until

 <Desc / Clms Page number 11>

 that the terminal switch 265 is turned off, by the adjustment rod 255 actuated by the boss 259 and that thus the electrical circuit for the changeover relay is interrupted. In the meantime, the switch 264 has been engaged and it is now possible, by actuating buttons 269 and 270, to adjust any number of turns as desired.

   To stop the transmission, push button 267. In this way, coil c73 of auxiliary relay 273 first receives current from auxiliary relay, ire 274 and activates the relay. The relay 273 closes the circuit for the coil c74 which actuates the auxiliary relay 274 and thus interrupts the circuit for the coil c73 passing through the auxiliary relay 274 But simultaneously, via the relays 273 and the switches 262, 261, coil b71, at the same time, the changeover relay 271b are activated, so that the coil c73 remains in circuit by this changeover relay. By actuating the changeover relay 271b, the electric motor 250 rotates in the opposite direction to that of the starting of the transmission. By means of the adjustment rod it brings the pump to zero flow.

   In the zero position the electric circuit for coil b71 is interrupted by switch 262. Meanwhile, simultaneously, the electric circuit of coil a72 has been established by switch 264 and relay 273 for actuation. of the auxiliary a relay 274 By actuating the changeover relay 27 2a, the electric motor 251 sets the hydraulic motor to, its greatest absorption capacity, until by the switch 264 using the cam 259, the electric current to coil a72 is interrupted.

   In order that, according to the invention, the hydraulic motor can be adjusted to a sensitivity at will, an electric circuit has been established for the coil c74 by the switch 264 through which the relay 274 remains actuated, regardless of the path. adjustment of the hydraulic pump for as long as is necessary for the hydraulic motor to be at its greatest absorption capacity.

   In order to avoid faulty settings, the switches

 <Desc / Clms Page number 12>

   262 and 263 are established and connected in such a way, that after the pump has been engaged in one direction, the return can only be done by pushing the button 267, to fix the pump in the zero position it a magnet actuated stopper can also be provided. As an example of application of the invention, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical controls have been described for reversible hydraulic transmissions, in which both directions of rotation are required in service.

   It is understandable that the controls following the invention can be considerably simplified, if the hydraulic transmission must have only one direction of rotation, since in this case all the control elements for the second direction of rotation. rotation disappear and that in addition the reciprocal locking of the control elements is simplified. A special case of application is that where the hydraulic transmission is adjusted remotely, electrically and for only one direction of rotation.

   So that, exceptionally, the controlled receiving machine can also be actuated in the other direction of rotation, an additional device for manual adjustment can be provided, for example, in the simplest way, by coupling with the pump drive motor shaft, a handwheel that can be operated, after triggering a fixed stop, determining the zero flow position of the pump.

  In this case it is desirable to provide a sliding coupling in the connection between the drive motor and the pump regulating rod, in order to be able, using the electric motor, to move the pump to 'to a fixed stop, then only trigger the drive motor.

     In the described examples of embodiments of the invention, the primary and secondary parts are adjusted by means of independent adjustment members. The principle of the invention is to adjust at the start of the transmission, first only the primary part, for the greatest absorption capacity of the, secondary part, then only the secondary part, and during the

 <Desc / Clms Page number 13>

 triggering, on the other hand, to bring the two parts back in place simultaneously, can however also be applied in the so-called lever controls; In general, however, in this case, the advantage of sufficient adjustment sensitivity should be waived when the switch-on and switch-off paths are small.
