 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

  "Apparatus for continuous and automatic projection of separate images."
The invention relates to an image projection apparatus for the automatic continuous reproduction of separate images which comprises two galleries or stacking conduits of the images, these galleries being horizontal and parallel to the axis of the projection apparatus, and connected together by two image channels, '' so as to form a circuit, in which the images propelled by advancing members acting in jerks, (not by step) follow each other, as much as possible without spacing .

   In the known image projection apparatuses of this kind, the devices causing the automatic circulation of the images are relatively expensive and cause a great deal of inconvenience, when in addition the danger of entrapment or entrapment must not be taken into account. image registration, especially in image stacking galleries. ' Thus, in a known projection apparatus of this type, in order to secure the images in position in the stacks, special elastic retaining latches were provided with which the plates mounted on a lever cooperate. and serving for advancement in stacks or queues of images.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   Now, the task of the invention is to make the construction as simple as possible. According to the invention, the device is therefore produced in such a way that the pressure plates, which cause the images to advance in the image stacking galleries, have a width less than that of the imagos, and are controlled in such a way that they only deviate from their depressed position, after the images are carefully exiting the image channels and / pushed into the stacking galleries of the image channels and / pushed into the galleries of @@ pila - age of images / are already entered to such an extent that,

     instead of the pressure plates, they maintain in their non-spaced positions, the images being in these galleries.

   The gripping levers or grapples for advancing the images in the image channels may further, according to the invention, be angled and have a longitudinal slot extending beyond the bend, so that they perform a closed loop movement, under the action of cranks each engaged in the corresponding slot of the levers. To give the grabs the possibility of such a movement in a simple manner, they can each be made up of two parts joined together, in the vicinity of their articulation, by a spring loaded (elastic band).

   An exemplary embodiment of the object of the invention is shown in the figures, where: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the projection apparatus, FIG. 2 is a plan view of the apparatus, showing the position of the control members for advancing and pushing the images as well as the actuation of these members, FIG. 3 shows, in side view, the position of the control members, and or grapple the pin 4 shows, in perspective, the gripping member / for pushing and advancing the separate images in the image channels.

   To the left and to the right of a projection box or casing (fig. 1) are arranged, at the height of the optical axis, receptacles or galleries 2a and 2b, which are connected to each other by a anterior corridor or channel 3a and a posterior corridor 5b, so that there is a circulation of the images, in a manner known per se, from the receptacle 2a, passing through the anterior corridor 3a, through the receptacle 2b and the back flow 5b, with return to receptacle 2a.

   The separate image which, in pila 2a, is

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 most placed, forward ... is grasped by means of a driving device (advancement) 4, which is described in more detail below, and is pushed laterally into the interior of the corridor 3a, from a image length, so that the whole series of images stacked in the image lane is forced to travel a corresponding distance in the direction of receptacle 2b. The images stacked in the receptacle 2b are held by a support plate 6 under the action of a traction spring 7 and fixed to an arm 5 which can pivot.

   To allow the entry into the stacking gallery of the images successively exiting from the image corridor 3a, the support plate 6 is moved apart by the pivoting, which is achieved by an element to cam 8. By giving the support plate 6 smaller dimensions than those of the surface of a separate image, it is allowed that each time a new image arrives it can already penetrate on a certain distance, leaving the image corridor, in the space of the receptacle, before the support plate must be brought back by pivoting.

   By this arrangement, it is prevented that during the pivoting of the plate 6 backwards the packet of images stacked in the receptacle can loosen elastically or overturn, which would make it impossible to enter: of the image.

   When the flow of the image is finished, the support plate 6 is released again, so that it is placed, under the action of the tension spring, with moderate pressure, against the packet of images, which thus, after a short release, is again slightly constricted on itself and is set in motion in the direction of the drawn arrow. By this gentle elastic pressure, we also obtain that the separated image 9 at the rear end of the line fits flat, that is to say straight, in the rails of neck guide-. dormouse 3b, and is gripped there by the drive device 10 and can be transported laterally in the direction of the recepta-. ; ble 2a.

   A support plate 11 (fig.2) ensures, in the same way as the plate 6, that the packet of images is held in the. stacking gallery 2a and transported to the front when image entry has taken place.

   To keep the dimensions as small as possible! of the whole apparatus, the whole of the pushing and driving mechanism will be made in two parts, and, in addition, each of the axes' 12 and 13 (fig. 2 and 3) which are trunnion -. born under les'galeries 2a and 2b for stacking images and rotate in synchronism with respect to each other, each time actuated a support plate and a drive arm.

   The toothed wheel 16 is used to actuate the shaft 12. It is connected, by a chain or a similar member, to the same toothed wheel placed on the other shaft, 13, so that the above working phases after this occurs for each rotation (revolution) of the shaft:
1) Stop of the noses 22 of the driving arms 10, 23, against the front image of the two stacks and simultaneous beginnings of the transport of the images.

   2) Separation, by pivoting, of the two support plates 6, 11.

  3) Execution and end of the transport of images.

  4) Return swivel of the two support plates 6, 11, and simultaneous returns = aondSCBX of the transport arms 10, 23 "in the initial position.

   The motor control of the device is automatically interrupted with each rotation of the shafts 12, 13. For this purpose, one

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

 of the two shafts is provided with a cam by which one is controlled; relay which opens the current circuit of the actuating electric motor, opening which can only be suspended by the operation of a button by hand, or by means acting automatically, for example by means of impulses controlled by the sound trace or groove of a sound track. In this way, an arbitrary control of the appliance from a distance is made possible, a control which makes it superfluous to have the appliance serviced by an attendant.

   The forced switching on and off of the actuating motor at each image projection is per se known in the apparatus for projecting images in files, but here the mode of operation of the mechanism in advance was different. Likewise, the use of relays which can be remotely controlled is not in itself new in projection apparatus.

   To facilitate image loading of the apparatus, the longitudinal side walls of the two receptacles 2a and 2b are hinged and shaped so that they can be folded down. A lock 30 ensures regular closure after loading the receptacles. Inside the receptacles there are provided, to facilitate the circulation of the images, rails or longitudinal ribs, on which the small frames can slide, requiring minimum motive force.
