Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Fig. 1 représente une coupe longitudinale suivant l'axe de la conduite d'arrivée des gaz ;
Fig. 2 représente une vue en plan.

 advanced training in cooker burners.

   The present invention relates to an improvement made to household burners, more especially to high power burners comprising only one crown.

   Its purpose is to make maximum use of the heat of the combustion gases while ensuring that it is distributed over the entire underside of the container.

   In the single crown burners currently in use, combustion causes a bottom-to-top draft of air, which has the effect of leaving a cold zone in the center of the burner.

  This cold air considerably reduces the efficiency of the burner. One could consider reducing the internal diameter of the crown of the burner, but it should be noted that this must remain large enough to ensure good combustion of the crown of the converging flames; crowns of flames whose shapes resemble each other in the most common models,

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 of two concentric cylinders, have in fact, in the construction which is the subject of the patent, taken the form of two truncated cones that diverge and converge so as to better distribute the heat on the underside of the container.

   The invention aims to eliminate the central cold zone; it consists in providing the burner with a central piece of conical shape, the base diameter of which is less than the internal diameter of the burner crown so as to admit only the combustion air strictly necessary for the combustion of the flame crown convergent.

   The height at which this part is placed as well as the inclination of the generatrices of the cone, are conditioned by the desire to make the conical surface serve as a reflector of heat for the benefit of the container. This part is attached to the burner by a number of thin arms and is generally fixed; it could be removable and even adjustable at will. Its conical shape could also be replaced by any other geometric shape.

   The whole burner from the foundry therefore comprises: a) - a gas supply pipe, connecting to a ring .pierced by two series of openings distributed regularly on concentric circles; b) - three arms joining the central cone to the burner crown; c) - a fixing and central arm also attached to the crown.

   The number and size of the openings of the two circles are conditioned by the desire to distribute the heat as evenly as possible.

   A burner according to the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing in which:

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section along the axis of the gas inlet pipe;
Fig. 2 is a plan view.

   11 is the gas supply line; 12 is the crown pierced with external openings 13 and internal openings 14 of slightly reduced section compared to the holes 13. 15 is the central part in the form of a truncated cone, the lower base of which is missing; it is attached to the part 12 by three thin arms 16 extending three generators. 17 is an arm for centering and retaining the burner. The openings 13 and 14 of cylindrical shapes are judiciously inclined on the vertical so that the crowns of flames 18 and 19 regularly distribute the heat on a horizontal plane materialized by the underside of the container.

   The heat given off by the flames 19 is reflected by the conical surface of the part 15 in directions represented by arrows 20, thereby reinforcing the action of the crown of converging flames, at the center of the underside of the container.

   It will be understood that the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown, but on the contrary covers all the variants and in particular the burners having several concentric rings.
