   DISPOSITIF DE TRANSMISSION DE MOUVEMENT, SPECIALEMENT APPLICABLE AUX BIELLES D'ENGINS MOTEURS. 



   On connait les inconvénients résultant,dans la construction des moteurs d'automobiles surtout, de l'emploi des bielles animées d' un mouvement oscillatoire pour transmettre le mouvement alternatif   rectiligne   du piston à l'arbre du moteur en le transformant en un mouvement circulaire ,continu. 



   En outre de l'ovalisation des cylindres, l'obliquité des bielles sur l'axe des cylindres provoque des vibrations du moteur, qui nuisent à son bon fonctionnement et réduisent sa durée de service. 



   - Suivant la présente invention, on a cherché à supprimer ces inoonvénients en utilisant le mode de transformation- connu dans lequel le mouvement de rotation d'un arbre est transformé par l'intermédiaire d'une oame en un mouvement alternatif d'une tige. Dans ce but, la bielle forme du coté de sa tête une fourche,entre les branohes de laquelle est logée une came de profil approprié,solidaire de l'arbre du moteur et en contact alternativement avec deux galets, verticalement opposés et portés par les branches de la fourche, lesquelles constituent d'autre part chacune une coulisse destinée à   8tre   guidée par un coussinet prévu de chaque côté de la susdite   came.   



   Le dessin annexé à ce mémoire montre,uniquement à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du dispositif de bielle conforme à l' invention. 



   Fig.l est une vue latérale en élévation de la bielle associée à son piston d'une part et à un arbre à came d'autre part. 



   Fig.2 est une coupe   parAB   de Fig.l. 



   Comme le montre le dessin, la bielle 1 ,sur laquelle est articulée de manière connue le piston 2, par l'intermédiaire de l'axe 3, se divise,vers sa tête, en forme de fourche, dont les deux bran-

 ches 4 et 5 constituent chacune une coulisse 6. En outre entre ces deux branches 4 et 5 peuvent tourner librement, sur roulements à billes ou à rouleaux par exemple, des galets 7 et 8 portés par des barrettes 9 limitant au-dessus et en-dessous les coulisses 6. 



   Ces galets sont en contact alternatif et opposé   verticalemert   avec une came 10, logée entre les branches 4 et 5 de la fourche de la bielle et solidaire de l'arbre 11 du moteur. Celui-ci possède en outre des coussinets 12 susceptibles de glisser dans les coulisses 6, auxquelles ils servent de guides. 



   On comprend aisément que la bielle 1 se déplaçant d'une manière rectiligne,ses galets 7 et 8 agiront successivement sur la came 10 pour la faire tourner en même temps que son arbre 11.Dans le cas du dessin,le piston 2 étant au point mort haut et supposé au début de la course motrice, il entrainera la bielle 1 vers le bas de façon que le galet supérieur 7, pressant sur la came 10, lui imprime un mouvement rotatif continu transmis à l'arbre 11. 



  Dans le mouvement vers le haut de la bielle 1, ce sera le galet inférieur 8, qui agira sur la came 10. 



   Le profil de la came 10 est évidemment déterminé de manière à tenir compte des différentes phases de la distribution et à éviter tout choc   nuisibledans   ce dernier but il serait loisible de prévoir un support élastique pour le galet supérieur 7 par exemple. 



   Les inventeurs se réservent évidemment d'apporter à ce dispositif tout perfectionnement utile et d'en modifier la construction suivant l'application envisagée,en effet ce dispositif de bielle po urrait trouver emploi également dans la construction des   compresseurs,et   d'une manière générale pour assurer la transformation de mouvement prévue.

   We know the drawbacks resulting, in the construction of automobile engines especially, from the use of connecting rods animated by an oscillatory movement to transmit the rectilinear reciprocating movement of the piston to the motor shaft by transforming it into a circular movement, continued.



   In addition to the ovalization of the cylinders, the obliqueness of the connecting rods on the axis of the cylinders causes vibrations of the engine, which impair its proper functioning and reduce its service life.



   - According to the present invention, attempts have been made to eliminate these drawbacks by using the known mode of transformation in which the rotational movement of a shaft is transformed by means of an oame into a reciprocating movement of a rod. For this purpose, the connecting rod forms a fork on the side of its head, between the branohes of which is housed a cam of appropriate profile, integral with the motor shaft and in contact alternately with two rollers, vertically opposed and carried by the branches of the fork, which on the other hand each constitute a slide intended to be guided by a bearing provided on each side of the aforesaid cam.



   The drawing appended to this specification shows, by way of example only, one embodiment of the connecting rod device according to the invention.



   Fig.l is a side elevational view of the connecting rod associated with its piston on the one hand and a camshaft on the other hand.



   Fig.2 is a section through AB of Fig.l.



   As shown in the drawing, the connecting rod 1, on which the piston 2 is articulated in a known manner, by means of the axis 3, divides, towards its head, in the form of a fork, the two branches of which.

 ches 4 and 5 each constitute a slide 6. Furthermore between these two branches 4 and 5 can rotate freely, on ball or roller bearings for example, rollers 7 and 8 carried by bars 9 limiting above and in- behind the scenes 6.



   These rollers are in alternating and vertically opposed contact with a cam 10, housed between the branches 4 and 5 of the fork of the connecting rod and integral with the shaft 11 of the motor. The latter also has pads 12 capable of sliding in the slides 6, to which they serve as guides.



   It is easily understood that the connecting rod 1 moving in a rectilinear manner, its rollers 7 and 8 will act successively on the cam 10 to make it rotate at the same time as its shaft 11. In the case of the drawing, the piston 2 being in focus dead top and assumed at the start of the driving stroke, it will drive the connecting rod 1 down so that the upper roller 7, pressing on the cam 10, gives it a continuous rotary movement transmitted to the shaft 11.



  In the upward movement of the connecting rod 1, it will be the lower roller 8, which will act on the cam 10.



   The profile of the cam 10 is obviously determined so as to take account of the different phases of the distribution and to avoid any harmful impact with this latter aim, it would be possible to provide an elastic support for the upper roller 7 for example.



   The inventors obviously reserve the right to make any useful improvement to this device and to modify its construction according to the envisaged application, in fact this connecting rod device could also find use in the construction of compressors, and in general. to ensure the intended motion transformation.

Dispositif de transmission de mouvement,en vue de sa transformation de rectiligne alternatif en circulaire continu et réciproquement, par l'intermédiaire d'une came, spécialement applicable aux bielles des moteurs, caractérisé en ce que la bielle forme,du côté de sa tête, une fourche, entre les branches de laquelle est logée une came de profi approprié, solidaire de l'arbre du moteur et en contact alternativement avec deux galets, verticalement oppoaés et portés par les branches de la fourche de la bielle, chacune de ces branches constituant une coulisse destinée à être guidée par un coussinet prévu de chaque côté de la came susdite.
