Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

   "Concrete tayau and process for the detachment of a pipe, carried out by means of concrete pipes".

   Concrete pipes such as those used in sewer construction are provided with either half-thickness sockets at both ends or with an outer collar socket at one end.

   These interlocking, which are made so as to leave only a thin joint between them intended to be closed with a little mortar after installation, are often severely damaged, most often already before their arrival on the site. The deterioration of the sockets is so important and so frequent for pipes several meters in length that it is generally not possible to manufacture such pipes despite the advantages they would present from the point of view of obtaining a compact concrete, for example, by vibration or by centrifugation.

   On the other hand. although the mortar thrown with a trowel in the thin joint formed between two juxtaposed pipes often comes off because the joint is too narrow, in practice it is not possible to increase the width of the joint by increasing the width of the sockets because the Wide interlocking is still much more fragile than narrow interlocking.

   There are also known cylindrical reinforced concrete pipes several meters in length for conduits; pressurized water, consisting of a metal core, in principle cylindrical, covered internally and externally.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 Rely a layer of compact concrete, the projecting ends of this core being of different diameters so that the small diameter part of a pipe can fit into the large diameter part of an adjacent pipe.

   In this case, the clearance which remains between the protruding parts which interlock can be filled with a tarred rope and mated lead and the whole is then covered with a large annular joint of poured concrete.

   These pipes are much more expensive than unreinforced concrete pipes or pipes with reinforcement made up of wires and which are perfectly suitable for making pipes, such as sewers, which are not under pressure.

   The object of the present invention is to allow the production of conduits such as sewers by means of unreinforced concrete or reinforced concrete pipes with reinforcement made of wires but the joints of which can be easily and conveniently made.

   To this end, at the ends of the reinforced concrete pipe according to the invention, metal sleeves, one of which is a little smaller than the other so as to be able to fit together with play in the large sleeve of the adjacent pipe, are embedded in concrete at the ends of the pipe in question, the sleeve of larger dimensions protruding from the neighboring concrete part which is at a greater distance from the axis than it *
By using pipes of this kind, therefore, the advantages of unreinforced concrete or reinforced concrete pipes with wire reinforcement and those of continuous cylindrical metal core pipes are taken advantage of without having the disadvantages of these two types of pipes. .

   According to an advantageous embodiment, in the case where, as usual, the aforesaid reinforcement comprises longitudinal wires surrounded by circular wires or wound in a helix, the sleeve of smaller dimensions is in the extension of the web of longitudinal wires while the larger sleeve is on the outside of the circular or helical wires.

   The invention also relates to a method for making ethanol a pipe executed by means of concrete or reinforced concrete pipes.

   With all interlocking pipes, when a blockage of the pipe occurs, as happens from time to time in the sewers, one is forced to break the pipe.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 to be able to enter the pipe at the blocked location, since it is no longer possible to dislodge the pipe.

  In order to remedy this drawback, according to the invention, provision is made to make the oonduite and reed by realizing a reinforced concrete ring which covers the joint between two juxtaposed pipes devoid of any juxtaposition at their ends.

   The invention also relates to the reinforced concrete pipes for carrying out this method and which are therefore devoid of any interlocking at their ends.

   Preferably, the peripheral surface of the ends is roughened in order to give better adhesion of the reinforced concrete ring after it has set.

     Other features and details of the invention will become apparent from the desoription of the drawings appended hereto, which represent sohematically, and by way of example only, two embodiments of a pipe according to the invention.

   Figure 1 is a longitudinal section through part of the ends of two pipes to be juxtaposed for the production of a pipe.

   Figure 2 is a similar ooupe in the pipe after juxtaposition of the pipes and realization of a joint and reed between them.

   Figure 3 is a section similar to that of Figure 8 in a joint suitable for two other pipes according to the invention.

     In these different figures, the same reference notations designate identical elements.

   In Figure 1, there is shown at 2 the end of a reinforced concrete pipe whose reinforcement consists of wires 3 parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pipe and surrounded by a wire 4 wound helically.

   The end of the pipe 2 has a metal sleeve ... lique 5, fixed to the ends of the longitudinal son 3 in the extension of the layer of these son *.

   FIG. 1 also shows the end of a reinforced concrete pipe 6 also comprising longitudinaur wires 7 and a wire 8 wound in a helix around the web of these longitudinal wires. A metal sleeve 9 is fixed to the end of this pipe 6 outside the helical wire 8. The sleeve 9 protrudes from all the concrete which is adjacent to it, that is to say also by

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

 compared to the concrete which is at a greater distance from the axis than it than compared to the concrete closer to the axis than it.

   As can be seen by examining FIG. 1, the sleeves 5 and 9 have dimensions such that they can fit together with a certain clearance * between them.

   When the pipes 2 and 6 are brought into contact with each other by their end face, as shown in Figure 2, a tarred hemp oorde 10 can be stuffed at the bottom of the gap between the sleeves 5 and 9.

  Concrete 11 can then be easily poured into the large joint which remains between the two parts of the ends of the pipes outside the sleeves 5 and 9 * These parts are chamfered in order to allow the production of a wider joint. It is for a similar reason that the sleeve 9, the dimensions of which are more grenades than those of the sleeve 5, also protrudes with respect to the part of the pipe 6 which is located at a greater distance from the axis of this sleeve.

   The chamfered parts are made rough by the arrangement of circular grooves 17 in order to promote adhesion between the pipes and the poured concrete 11.

   In Figure 3, there is shown the ends of two reinforced concrete pipes 12 and 13 which are devoid of any interlocking at their ends. These are at. proximity to one another and a plastic strip, consisting of a tarred hemp rope 14, reopens the joint which separates them.

   A wide reinforced concrete ring 15 was cast on both the ends of the two adjacent pipes. The frame 16 of this ring had been slipped onto one of the pipes before the latter was placed against its neighbor. -After this installation, the reinforcement was brought into the position shown, before the concrete was poured 15.

   The frame shown in Figure 3 consists of rings joined together by longitudinal son so that their installation is facilitated.

   The adhesion between the concrete ring 15 and the pipes 12 and 13 has been favored by the arrangement of circular grooves 17 at the periphery of these rings. The roughness of the surface of these pipes could be achieved by grooves in another direction, provided that these are not parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pipes.

   If you have to enter a pipe made

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

 By means of pipes joined by joints similar to the one in figure 3, the joints at the ends of the same pipe can be easily broken and the pipe removed. Putting the pipe back in place / after repair of the pipe can be followed by the making of two new joints according to figure 3.

   It is obvious that the invention is not exclusively limited to the embodiments shown and that many modifications can be made in the form, the arrangement and the constitution of certain of the elements involved in its realization, provided that these The modifications do not contradict the object of each of the following claims.

   It goes without saying, for example, that the shape of the cross-section of the pipes can be any.
