La présente invention a pour objet un petit siège pliant,fa- briqué de préférence totalement en bois, susceptible de se replier de façon à pindre dans cette position un volume minimum avec un err combrement excessivement réduit, d'être par suite emporté dans un sac au dos, dans les fontes d'un vélo et même d'être glissé dans une serviette, tout en pré sentant une solidité suffisante pour sup- porter, déplié,le poids dtun homme normal.
Ce résultat est obtenu grâce à ce que la surface servant de siègo est portée,suivant ses bords transversaux, par deux traverses -parallèles la dépassant de part et d'autre et réunies à leurs extré- mités libres, parallèlement au siège, par deux pièces longitudinales, laissant entre elles et ce siège un intervalle suffisant pour per- mettre le rabattement complet dans cet intervalle, sans former de saillie,des pieds jointivement deux à deux.
Chacun de'ces pieds est avantageusement constitué par un cadre.dont les montants pivotent dans les intervalles longitudinaux du siège et sont réunis par deux traverses,dont la traverse supérieure forme butée et appui pour le siège déplié,
Ce siège présente des particularités, qui seront décrites ci- après avec référemce au dessin annexé, qui donne à titre d'exemple uniquement une forme dtexécution dtun siège pliant conforme à ltirr tion et fabriqué totalement en-bois de hêtre.Dans ce dessin: Fig.l est une vue en perspective du siège déplié; ;Fig.2 est une vue en plan du siège replié; Fig. 3 est une vue en élévation du siège déplié,et Fig.4 est une vue de profil correspondante.
Comme le montre le dessin, le siège est essentiellement formé d'une surface plane principale 1, constituant le siège proprement

dit; sous chacun de ses bords transversaux est clouée une tra- verse 2a,2b,faisant saillie de part et d'autre du siège. Les ex- trêmités de ces traverses sont réunies parallèlement au siège 1 par des pièces longitudinales 3a, 3b, ayant une hauteur égale à celle du siège l,dont les sépare ainsi un intervalle rectangu- laire libre 4. Les angles extérieurs du. siège 1 et des longerons 3a,3b,sont avantageusement arrondispour éviter tente surface d'assise coupante.
Des axes métalliques 5 traversant les intervalles 4,vers leurs extrêmités, servent de pivot à des montants Ga,6b,de deux cadres formant les deux pieds du siège; ces montants sont réu- nis extérieurement par deux traverses 7 et 8,dont l'une 7 est prévue vers les extrômités inférieures libres des montants 6a,6b, tandis que l'autre8 est clouée sur ceux-ci à une hauteur telle qu'elle forme appui et butée pour le siège lorsqu'il est déplié comme le montrent les fig.1,3 et 4.
Les montants 6a,6b sont disposés dans les intervalles 4,de . manière à ne pas dépasser le plan supérieur du siège lorsque ce- lui-ci est déplié; leur centre de pivotement auteur des axes 5 est en outre décalé l'un par rapport l'autre de façon qu'en vue de replier le siège,il soit possible de rabattre les montants 6a,6b, jointivement doux à deux dans los intervalles longitudinau: 4, somme le montre la Fig.2 Dans ce but l'écartement réciproque des montants 6a est choisi moindre que celui des nontants 6b.
Tel que réalisé comme représenté au dessin,et spécialement dans les dimensions indiquées, le siège conforme à l'invention peut supporter sans risque le poids d'un homme normal, alors que le poids total du siège, constitué totalement en hêtre,ne dépasse pas un kilog.
Dans ces conditions, on comprend que ce siège convient tout particulièrement pour le camping, où il peut servir de siège et de table; pour la promenade, où il peut être utilisé non déplié pour s'asseoir sur l'herbe, la pierre,etc.;de plus ouvert et ren- versé ,il peut être tenu entre deux personnes pour transporter des enfants. Par suite de sa. stabilité et de son confort, ce siè- ge convient très bien aux longuesstations au bord de l'eau pour les pêcheurs. En voyage son faible poids et son encombrement minime permettent, de servir de tablette à manger, à écrire, à jouer. En cas d'affluence, il se déplie dans le couloir ou sur la plateforme du véhicule,train,tramways, etc. , en évitant ainsi la position debout pendant de longues heures.
En cas d'alerte, ce siège s'emporte facilement et rapidement à l'abri ou à la cave, car il se place dans n'importe quel petit espace disponible.
Enfin dans les ménages ce siège constitue un petit tabouret. simple,solide et peu encombrant; il est également la table de

The object of the present invention is a small folding seat, preferably made entirely of wood, capable of being folded up so as to pin in this position a minimum volume with an excessively small footprint, and therefore to be carried in a bag. on the back, in the castings of a bicycle and even to be slipped in a towel, while presenting sufficient strength to support, unfolded, the weight of a normal man.
This result is obtained thanks to the fact that the surface serving as a seat is carried, along its transverse edges, by two parallel crossbars projecting from either side and joined at their free ends, parallel to the seat, by two pieces. longitudinal, leaving between them and this seat an interval sufficient to allow the complete folding in this interval, without forming any protrusion, of the feet contiguously two by two.
Each of these feet is advantageously constituted by a cadre whose uprights pivot in the longitudinal intervals of the seat and are joined by two cross members, the upper cross member of which forms a stop and support for the unfolded seat,

Metal pins 5 passing through the intervals 4, towards their ends, serve as a pivot for uprights Ga, 6b, of two frames forming the two legs of the seat; these uprights are joined on the outside by two cross members 7 and 8, one of which 7 is provided towards the free lower ends of the uprights 6a, 6b, while the other 8 is nailed to them at a height such that it support and stopper form for the seat when it is unfolded as shown in figs. 1,3 and 4.

Under these conditions, we understand that this seat is particularly suitable for camping, where it can serve as a seat and table; for walking, where it can be used unfolded to sit on grass, stone, etc., and open and upside down, it can be held between two people to transport children. As a result of his. stability and comfort, this seat is very suitable for longstations at the water's edge for anglers. When traveling, its low weight and minimal bulk allow it to be used as a table for eating, writing and playing. In case of crowds, it unfolds in the corridor or on the platform of the vehicle, train, trams, etc. , thus avoiding standing for long hours.
In the event of an alert, this seat can be taken easily and quickly to a shelter or to the cellar, because it can be placed in any small space available.
Finally in households this seat constitutes a small stool. simple, solid and space-saving; it is also the table of
